- In February of 2023 two friends and I set out on the biggest adventure of our lives - riding off road motorcycles from LA to the southern tip of South America, riding one month per year until we get there. This film follows the first leg of our journey from LA to the border of Guatemala through Saguaro filled forests, deserted Baja coastlines and passes between 17000 ft mountains.
This film is a passion project created by Jonah Levine and myself. It's entirely self funded and we've put countless hours into making it a reality. If you liked the film it would mean the world to us if you shared it with someone you think would enjoy it :)
Film created by Jonah Levine and Danny McGee

Best trip of my life with some of my best friends. Hope you have as much fun watching this film as Danny and I had making it 🤘🏼
bad ass trip dude
I have 2 travel my pillow pillows.. So comfortable and the roll up pillow cases are genius. Highly recommend them!
Freedom is essential ☠️
If possible, tell us your final thoughts on bike and gear choices. Maybe a pinned post here?
It’s crazy to me that this isn’t super viral. The level of production and quality of this film is better than Netflix and Prime productions.
Thanks so much man! That means a lot, glad you enjoyed
One of, if not the best, motorcycle adventure travel films I've seen in quite some time. Excellent cinematography and narration.
Thanks so much! We really appreciate it 🤘🏼
Then you will like these. Long Way Round (LWR) is a British television series and book documenting the 19,000-mile (31,000 km) journey of Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman from London to New York City on motorcycles. They travelled eastwards through Europe and Asia, flew to Alaska, and continued by road to New York. The series aired on Sky One from 18 October 2004 - 1 February 2005 and was repeated on BBC Two in 2008. The series was added to Apple TV+ on 18 September 2020, along with sequels Long Way Down (2007) and Long Way Up (2020).
what a wonderful video, I'm 16 and I'm from mexico, you don't know how inspiring it is to see content like this, it motivates me to explore my own country, soon I will buy my first motorcycle and start adventuring around mexico.
greetings from morelos! central mexico
fuck yeah man, that's awesome :))) i was 16 or 17 when i bought my first bike. ride safe and have a fuckin blast
Wow, you guys are my hero’s ! How is this not on Netflix 😍🤩
Maybe someday!
Sombrero guy at 45:48 "Ya se ponchó la motona (big bike) o qué?" had me rolling, hah. Really enjoyed your video, keep it up guys, stay gold!
Just watched the complete video I did what you did but I bought a new yamaha xt660 in Ibague Columbia rode all over Columbia for 3 years. Seen so many generous people,
In 2014 a friend and I rode motorcycles from Wisconsin to Valparaiso, Chile. In Mexico we went through the Chihuahua Desert and Copper Canyon instead of Baja. But we did go to Mazatlan and then up in the mountains to Morelia and then to Oaxaca on the way to Guatemala. This video really brought back some great memories (and not so great: scenes of tire changes along roads and using ratchet straps to hold things together were a little PTSD inducing). Fantastic video. Can't wait to see the rest of your trip!
That sounds epic dude! The Copper canyon looked incredible, we were sorry to miss it. Someday! Thanks for watching man
Truly the sickest journey I've ever gotten to be part of...y'all did an incredible job, and it blows me away to see the story of the trip told like this 🖤🖤
Wouldn’t be possible without you 🙏🏽
Excellent film, beautiful views, best of all motivating to one day do that exactly that… simply adventure.
Much Enjoyment 👍😎
Absolutely AMAZING!!!,,,,,,, I can't decide which is more impressive???? The adventure itself, the filming of the adventure, or the final editing of the filming of the adventure?
All the best!!! and thank you for reminding us why we ride with camping gear.
Colorado, USA
Thanks so much! Stoked you enjoyed it!
Well done gents. As a adventurer myself, best documentary of a motorcycle trip I have seen since C90 Adventures lol. Impressed.
Thanks so much man! Really appreciate that
You three guys lived my dream! I'm so happy for you all. Thanks for sharing
So true about Mexico - incredible people and culture - what an amazing ride
I watch 100s.. probably 1000s of youtube videos a month.
I originally discovered Danny through my interests in FPV drones.. specifically long range, and hes been a driving inspiration to get into long range fpv.
But this video is probably my most favorite and most watched in the last 3 years!
This is like my kinda dream trip. 😀
❤❤❤
Thank you so much, we really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed 🤙🏼
Thank you from Lithuania for sharing your amazing journey🤝💪🔥🔥🔥
Few things just a few minutes in:
1) Kudos to you guys for just going for it! So many "adventure" motorcyclists get bogged down in the prep, you guys just str8up yolo'd it and I respect the shit out of it.
2) sponsor or not, I am thrilled your using/showing/celebrating the high quality safety gear provided by RevIt. As someone's who's been I'm the hospital for crashes twice I cannot stress the importance of good gear.
3) can't wait to watch the rest! Over an hour left, so I'm gonna shut up and enjoy!
Thanks man! It was definitely a ton of work but so worth it. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
@jonahlevine sincerely this was one of the best "motovlogs" (motorcycling film is more accurate) I have ever seen, and I have seen a LOT of them.
It appears you're a busy man, but I can assure you if you produce more motorcycle content of this caliber the audience would be tremendous. It is very rare to get a truly fresh take on the old-as-time motorcycle adventure, but somehow you fellas caputured something very few others have, both spiritually and cinematically.
@@wizardmoto Wow thanks so much, I/we appreciate that a ton. It's the most rewarding thing to have people like you who know your stuff in this space share positive thoughts like that, it's super appreciated. We'll definitely be making at the very least one film like this per year!
The REAL Mexico and all it's beauty. Dream trip right here.
Hey man, I was lucky enough to watch this film on the big screen at the Motorcyle Film Festival in Toronto and was mind blown by the quality of the shots, the beauty of the scenery etc. The banter and chemistry on camera between you three is hilarious too! Can’t wait for the next episode
Thanks so much man! We were so bummed to not make it out for the festival, hopefully we'll be there for part 2 next year!
What an amazing journey. You guys will be telling your grandchildren about this for years to come!
a true freaking masterpiece 🔥
this is cinema!!!!!!❤💯
So pumped RUclips recommended your channel. Incredible work, dude!
Thanks man glad to have you onboard!
Wow boys. What a fantastic ride and film. Excellent work from a new fan in St. Louis. My favorite was after you having numerous issues you simply ride up on a remote motorcycle repair shop in the hills. I was once in the middle of nowhere Utah north of Vernal somewhere...stopped the V-Strom for a moment to take a pic and forgot to shut off the bike and my battery died. I thought, man, this might be a while...and under 30 seconds a truck rolled up on me and had jumpers. People are always the best part of any adventure.
God bless and keep up the good work.
Again... wow.
Hahah that's unreal, the people definitely are always the most memorable. Really appreciate the love on the film, cheers!
Holy shit, I was in San Felipe and met you 3 changing that tire on the intersection at 1:27. I was on the GS and my buddy on a XR650. This movie is so sick!
whoa, small world!!!!! glad you enjoyed it :)
Haha no way! Thanks so much for watching 🤘🏼
Thank you Danny, Jonah and Jesse for taking us along on your amazing adventure! I was honored to be a part of Jesse's first adventure when he set out on his first cross country ride in 2017 after graduating high school! Jesse and I talk frequently, and he keeps me updated on his world travels that usually include both of you too. Watching this movie made me proud of you all for your accomplishments and friendship. This movie is so well done, that I was having a hard time breathing right along with you as you climbed that mountain! And I found myself wanting to help with the tires and repairs as they happened! WELL DONE! I'm looking forward to part 2 of the Epic 3 Amigos adventures!!!
Larry! Glad you liked it, and thanks for following along :)))
I've heard so much about you Larry! So glad the CX wizard himself enjoyed it haha, I'm sure the repairs would have gone by 10x quicker if you'd have been there! Thanks so much for watching!
I love how 3 friends can make their adventure look more epic and professionally made than most Hollywood films. The level of production is insane. Definitely subscribed and looking forward to seeing your next adventure :)
thank you so much man!
I just cannot believe that I watched a film like that on RUclips on a random afternoon without knowing about it or paying for it. That was absolutely stunning! Amazing journey and super chill guys
That means a lot, thanks so much man!
So glad you liked it!
What a great adventure, in a great country. Mexico is the land of as many smiles as there are people. A great couple of bikes as well. Doing follow shots on another bike isn’t easy 😎🙌🏻 Looking forward to the next one
Thanks so much! Totally agree, nicest people ever. Hah yeah riding passenger backwards to get shots was a bit sketchy forsure!
EPIC SIMPLY EPIC! You road an adventure!
I absolutely loved the way you guys showed the REAL Mexico!!! well done! Specs on the bikes? Suzuki?
Thanks man! They're suzuki dr650s
Wonderful filming of an epic journey. Star, star, star, star, star.
Appreciate it so much!
It was an incredible pleasure to watch your adventure! Guys, I have nothing but praise for you! Everything - from you guys to the quality of the video and editing is fantastic! Despite all the difficulties that actually make an adventure an adventure, you spent an amazing time together and created phenomenal memories for a lifetime! My motorcycle trips usually last 4 - 5 days, unfortunately, life commitments and work dictate how much time I can spend traveling by motorcycle, but I hope for something similar to this adventure of yours, someday. I wish you all the best in all future adventures, warm greetings from Croatia!
One of the best motorbike journeys I’ve watched in a while, beautifully shot and you come across as really good guys, epic scenery too👏👏👏
Stoked you enjoyed it, thanks!
The storytelling is just incredible on this, making anyone watching want to travel and explore the beauty of mexico. When is part 2 dropping? Already looking forward to it!
Thank you! Hopefully soon. It’s already filmed just need to dive into the editing now which honestly is the hard part haha
@@Mcgeee Yup i feel ya editing takes time. Can't wait for it!
Appreciate it!!
Great video! I recognized so many places. Mexico is full of beautiful, kind and generous people!
It really is, we loved everyone in mexico! Thanks so much for watching
This is full scale movie level content.......thank you very much for taking me with you throughout your journey...
Thanks so much, it means a lot to us ✌🏼
Just wanted to say this is one of the best adventures I have seen in a long time. It took me back to when I was in my young 20s (now mid 30s). I had a group of three best buddies who did many trips like this before RUclips was really a place for high quality adventures. I wish had documented our adventures beyond a few grainy pictures because I have since lost my best friend and the other lives pretty far from me… I still go on big adventures each year and plan to never stop, but I go solo now. I miss my pack. If you ever want to go on an east coast adventure, I would be happy to be a guide. I am doing the NEBDR again soon, it’s a super cool Moto trip with some unique locations! Love your story telling and cinematography, keep it up!!
Thanks so much for the kind words man!! We really appreciate it. Enjoy the NEBDR, it looks awesome! I’d love to do it someday. I’m from CT actually and Jesse lives in NYC, we’re all there pretty frequently. He’s got a bike there but it’s an old Honda cx, not great for the trails haha
There is so much motorcycle content online these days, but I have to say that 20min in, this is already exceptional. I need to get my friends to also buy DR’s…
Thanks so much dude, really appreciate that. DR’s are the shit haha 🤘🏼
I have three friends all Eagle Scouts and we have many adventure rides under our belt but nothing compared to the way this story is told, it’s amazing. Truly impressed with the video and editing skills.
Thanks so much man! We really appreciate it. Jesse is an eagle scout too actually!
Thank you for sharing such a great video. I hope to have my own experience in the next year.
Holy smokes this was incredible! I wanna go on an epic trip with my friends right away. Seriously cool you captured such an amazing trip. I always say as you did that when things go wrong those are the trips you remember. You guys also met some cool people along the way! Can’t wait for the next segment of the video 👊
Wow. I followed the on Instagram but this movie was such an amazing piece of art. I loved seeing you all in the raw moments where you do the most growth. Thank you for sharing this with the world.
Stoked you enjoyed!
Thank you so much!! Truly means a lot
Awesome video, I can only imagine how many hours of cutting and editing you put into it. I can totally relate to the amazing experience you had. In 2018 I did a trip from LA to Antigua Guatemala, my home town, on a DRZ400. Speaking of Guatemala, if you haven´t done the second leg of your journey yet, don't get discouraged by ignorant people telling you it's too dangerous. I've been riding all over the country, and Central America for that matter, for the last 18 years, alone and with friends, and I haven't had one single incident. Prepare to be amazed. Looking forward to your next video.
My kids loved the film and can’t wait for part 2!
So stoked you guys enjoyed! We can't wait to make part 2 🤙🏼
A grand adventure, a well told story, and great videography! I'm 58 and I've always wanted to do a trip like this, but never did. Now my wife would never do this with me and I don't know anyone who would, not at my age. So it was fun to live it vicariously through you guys. I had to sell my streetbikes recently because my wife & I moved to Yucatan, Mexico. Now I'm itching to get my hands on another bike. Definitely want a small ADV bike to explore locally. And maybe... not so locally.
You should! Glad you enjoyed it 🤘🏽
Probably the best motorcycle adventure video on RUclips. Phenomenal and looking forward to Part 2.
Thanks so much!
Damn we really appreciate that! Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
So happy i am of seeing people traveling thru the real Mexico and do not being carried away by stereotypes, glad you had a good time here and welcome any time you wanna visit us again🇲🇽
I know maybe someone mentions you about Michoacán and Jalisco... but you should visit them. Beautiful landscapes...
Bravo! Thanks for taking us along on your adventures fueled by friendship endurance and a shared sense of exploration...oh and humor too. Loved 54:30 and congrats to all three at 16,500 feet! Best wishes.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate it.
El mejor video que he visto de viajes de aventura, fotografía, guión, edición y sobre todo una historia con una gran reflexión final que por cierto comparto plenamente. Felicidades por este increíble trabajo!
Muchas gracias amigo!!
I absolutely loved watching this. Such great story telling, friendship, scenery, people, editing, music, all of it. Big big thumbs up!!! 👍 👍
Ayy thank you so much! 🤘🏼
New sub viva Mexico 🇲🇽 ❤
When you guys got the mezcal tasting after the crash, that was pure magic, things fell perfectly into place. Wabi Sabi
~your message at the end was solid, sometimes the obstacles are where the journey begins and though the unknown can be fearful sometimes we just gotta throw caution to the wind and live.
Yeah we absolutely couldn't believe it, life is wild! Appreciate that, thanks so much for watching
This is so awesome!!! 3 buddies making memories and stories that’ll live as long as you do. Great job guys. And yes, great video production …….love it ❤
Appreciate it, thanks so much!
Very good and entertaining. As a moto adventurist myself I found this very enlightening. Great photography as well
Thanks so much!
greetings from Argentina
Yeeeewwwww! What a masterpiece! You guys did an amazing job putting this together. Truly a work of art
Thanks brother! Miss you dude
Umm. Well. This is just absolutely fucking amazing! You guys are specialists with your drones. Excellent work. Liked. Subscribed. Shared.
Appreciate it man, stoked you enjoyed!
Holy shit?! This was such a good video! The cinematography was awesome. My friends ride all around the world and I wish they would do some like this. Iv wanted to go with them so bad but it SO MUCH MONEY?!?. Excellent video!
Thank you so much dude! It definitely isn't cheap unfortunately, but once you have the gear and the bike, doing more trips from then on is a lot easier financially
Great work!
Really great filmmaking! I got back from 4 months on the Panamerican Highway just after you guys departed. You're going to love the rest to the ride down!
Thanks so much man! Thats incredible, hope you had the best time
What an adventure of a lifetime, enjoy it boys! Appreciate sharing these moments with us, cheers! 🍻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much man!

Great video, hooked me from the start and didn’t let me go.
Glad to hear it, thanks!

Great Great job. You have done an awesome job. Such good filmmaking. All pro. We throughly enjoyed it. Bravo pal.

Thanks man! We actually did Guatemala to panama a few months ago, it was so incredible. Guatemala was definitely our favorite!
What an amazing video ! So glad you had a blast and that you showed the real Mexico. If you ever are in Mexico city and need any help. Don't hesitate to ask.

you are the man! thanks so much dude, I'm stoked that you liked it so much
Epic run and great story guys, thanks for sharing!
Yep good things happen on motorcycle adventures. Enjoyed the vid. Thanks for sharing.
Just watched it all the way through - looks like an amazing experience! There’s just something about rough travel and the crazy unique experiences it gives you. That volcano was no joke too! Great watch 🙌🏼
Really appreciate it man! Thanks so much for watching 🤙🏼
This is the most amazing adventure documentary I’ve ever seen. I laughed along with you guys and I might have shed a tear or two. Such incredible cinematography, storytelling, and energy. I wish I had friendship and a bond like what you guys have. Dreaming of adventures like this. Thank you for sharing with us. I can’t wait for the next one.
Great movie guys! Amazing videagraphy. Interesting that the old rider is warning you about the next country being unsafe. We experienced the exact same thing when we traveled thru eastern Europe from France to Greece. Yet once we got to the next country the people were just as great as the country we just left. Looking forward to the next episode!
Epic gents! Know Baja well. Nice to see there is still some adventurers out there.
Appreciate it man, thanks for watching 🤙🏼
By far the best motorcycle journey if seen. This could have been a movie. This was an amazing, one of a kind, forever in your heart trips! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! Stoked you enjoyed
Que viaje tan fregón, excelente producción. Enhorabuena, saludos desde México
Muchas gracias!!
Great job. Can't wait to see more !
THAT WAS EPIC! WELL DONE !
Thanks so much man!
Fantastic video. Amazing adventure most people who ride only dream of. Congratulations guys!!
Really appreciate it!
I have two sons, we all rode dirt bikes and street bikes and I know the things that can happen on long rides. Would not trade those memories for anything. But it was painful to watch you ride down to the beach (inexperinced and far from home) and I was mad (based on fear) that ya all thought you should climb a volcano unprepared and already in middle of a pretty big journey on bikes. I've really gotten hurt on my yz250r couple times from being to tired. I was literally mad that you guys continued to climb. Thought for sure something bad would happen. I am grateful you are all safe and I can't say I enjoyed your movie, but I couldn't turn it off either!
That was quite a journey. Can’t wait until part 2.
AN ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH!!
Great storytelling, beautiful scenery, humanitarian acts of kindness, friends that have true love for each other, and motorcycles.
Seriously guys, I feel blessed this came across my recommended videos. This is inspirational and so well done.
Thank you for all the hard work it took to bring this to reality
Wow man, this really means so much, can't thank you enough for the kind words and for watching! Stay tuned for part 2 this year!
@@jonahlevine im definitely looking forward to it
