      @jdssn106 3 года назад +3

      @@yessidolemerchant5143 it's not the same thing. The points of reference; indexes, on a dial are fixed . They never change. A bezel is a dynamic point of reference so for eligibility it needs to be more defined. This is why you nearly always see numbers on bezels but don't need them on the dial. Basic watch designing 101 don't ya know.

    I have the bi-metal on mesh. It's thin, lightweight and very wearable. I understand the Cook comparison and like it also but this is a higher level piece in terms of design and finish. I enjoy the vintage cues and get nothing but positive comments, not another boring diver for people who never dive. My opinion is admittedly different. To me the 'regular' Superocean Heritage is not a serious diver, I wouldn't take it scuba diving (which would be the fourth time in my life) either despite the greater water resistance. The basic Superocean with timer bezel, that's the diver. Around a pool, no problem, there's plenty of water resistance for the vast majority of customers.. This is a sport/dress piece , which frankly the original Heritage is too, except this pops under my shirt cuff without the slightest issue. Very happy with it.

    Bruce, 100m od WR is ok for swimming and scuba diving, or anything water ralated, as long as you do it near the surface. It is 10 ATM!. If you know anything about physics just imagine how much pressure you have to make with your arms only (since water near the surface doesn't add a lot) to make it 10 ATM :)

  • @artagain8977

    I don’t understand all the fuss about this watch only being 100M’s of water resistance. Who dives more than 330ft? The average amateur driver goes between 30 to 80 feet. Clearly, those would safe depths for a 100M watch.

    The main thing in this watch is how thin and elegant it is. It could not be so thin with a screw doen crown so it is purely for design reasons that it does not have. The issue of dust in the dial is a purely random fact that concerns one watch and not all thr 57 line...

    100m water is more than enough for almost any purpose. First off if your going scuba you’re using a computer, not a 5K watch like a submariner. Secondly, most dives are under 100m anyways. Third, most people buying this watch are like you, don’t even swim or go gym, so it’s really irrelevant. I do appreciate the review.

    I gotta admit. I never liked this watch in photos and came here to fast foward to the outside wrist shots the Bruce is famous for expecting it to not look great again but that inward bezel slope with zero distortion on the reflections combined with Breitling's beautiful AR creates some mesmerizing reflections and with a good side profile despite the overhanging bezel actually looks pretty decent on the wrist. I no longer dismiss this watch and I can see it being enjoyed. It's not my type of watch, no vintage styled divers are, but it looks pretty good in the wild.

In particular at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock where there are duplicate markers, i.e.; the bar indices overlaying the circular inlay. From some angles, I really don’t like the look, yet, at other times I’m drawn to the look of these indices. I’m not sure if I’ve seen this look on other watches. I’m curious as to your thoughts. Ugly first of all, and that's enough to have fired the designer when he or she said 'what do you think of this'? Those corners of the dish are going to get beat up besides catching dust! As usual Bruce- you are politically correct. When are you going to run for office?

    Breitling quality isn’t good, that’s sad.

      So happy I have a pre Kern Breitling when the quality was on par with Rolex or Omega.
