Another fantastic video honey. 💋 It’s my pleasure to support the PRELOADER community! I am humbled by all the kind words from you all. Continue to practice and be safe.
I just wanted to say "Thank You!" for these videos. I just got my motorcycle about 6 months ago. 2 months into it, I tried doing a U-turn, handle bars locked in the turn, I applied the front brake and had to "Strong Arm" it back up one-handed. I pulled a muscle in my arm that still hurts to this day. Fantastic Tutorials!!!
It’s my pleasure. 😊 Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed!👍🏾😊 I’m happy that my channel has been helpful to you! That makes all the time and effort that I put into this so worthwhile!
I do this exercise everytime I back my bike out of the garage. I have to squeeze it between my car in the driveway and the opening of the garage...then a full lock left and quick full lock right to get out. Tough turns from the get go without warming up. When it goes smoothly without putting my foot down I know it’s a good day! 😎
I’m truly honored to be a part of this community! I’m in the process of getting my endorsement and purchasing my first bike. I want to learn to ride and be a preloader!
Thank you for watching and subscribing!👍🏾😁 Also thank you very much for supporting the channel by becoming a V.I.Preloader! Welcome to Preloader Nation! We’re truly honored to have you! Please keep me apprised of when your endorsement process starts and hopefully, successfully ends. 👍🏾
These videos are great, because for me, I feel they're more than just motorcycle instruction. They help you realize how important life is. Dope stuff Simmons.
Thank you very much! Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed!👍🏾😊 I’m happy that my channel has been helpful to you! That makes all the time and effort that I put into this so worthwhile!
Aloha braddah Bobby. So I was running through you excersizes with a couple of friends getting ready for the fallen patriot ride this weekend. I found one thing that help them understand your preload technique a little better that you could incorporate in your videos. I noticed they were pulling in their clutch too much and getting out of the friction zone. I explained to them that you want your bike to want to move forward slowly like a car when you're rolling to due the idle and use your back brake to either sĺow down or move forward. The minute they implied that they were doing a great job with the slow speed control. Once again thank you for saving lives out there.
What’s up. Glad that you were out practicing with other riders and sharing your knowledge! It sounds like you were practicing with non PRELOADERS or new PRELOADERS. 👍🏾
I pretty much do this everyday I ride to work. I get here before anybody else and therefore get my spot, but there are vehicles (typically full size trucks) on either side of me when I leave. I am always practicing pulling out just by everyday riding, kinda like my video of me leaving the house after picking up my lunch and doing a u-turn from a stop. I also do a rolling u-turn coming home to get in my driveway. Maybe one day I'll get that on video too. lol
Thanks again brother Simmons! This is Eric from Chicago. Almost time to pick up that Street glide special. I really like what you said about us cold weather folks who had to wait to practice. An old football coach called it visualization. Picture yourself doing all of your technics correctly, and you will do them correctly. It's going down this week!
Robert you’re Awesome! My Marine brother Yves Mandat also retired from the NYPD, so I appreciate your service and I support Blue Lives Matter! Once my shoulder heals I’ll be back riding again, fortunately I live by ocean here in Ormond Beach so my riding is enjoyable.
Wow, you are doing us all a Great Service!! Cant wait for my weather to warm up so I can accomplish all these maneuvers. I remember when you started, No Microphone and just seeing what would work. Great Job and keep it up.
It's my pleasure Mark and thanks for hanging with me from the beginning. Yeah I don't know how I even did it without the microphone. Rookie mistake.😁 My Preloaders definitely helped me out with that!👍🏾
New rider from Brazil here. Recently purchased an Iron 883 and slow speed is really something I`m practicing. I cannot stress enough how your videos are helping me understand the nuances of slow riding. Watching your ride technique is beautiful and inspiring. Keep it up!!!
Parking no problem. Installed a reversing gear kit from Eurowing.com . heavy bike no issues pulling into any space/location. Includes the driveway up the slope. Order tee shirts. Anita did a great job
With your addition of "Preloaders", I guess there are 4 types of bikers...#1-those that HAVE dropped their bike! #2-those that WILL drop their bike! #3- LIARS! and #4- Preloaders! Truly enjoy your videos! I'd Love to be able to take part in one of your "Practice" sessions!
Thanks Robert for keeping it real at all times. Nice camera shots and reiterating of the points you've shared in other videos in greater details. Your videos are one of the better parts of my day. Especially these days when the tri-fector of social distancing, cold weather and now snow every other day has us sequestered in our homes up north. 🙏
Thank you very much! Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed to my RUclips channel!👍🏾😊 ruclips.net/user/BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle I’m happy that my channel has been helpful to you! That makes all the time and effort that I put into this so worthwhile! It’s my pleasure. 😊
Flashback of living in B'klyn, waking up early, parking rules are in effect and 1010 wins radio. I love how humble you are for thanking us for spending the time with you. Also love how you slow speed inside the garage. That's a challenge for me, my 2K cc Vulcan classic is very heavy and have to duck walk it.
This exercise is perfect for my situation. I've been watching your videos and it always encourages me to get back on my bike. I always want to take it out to practice but even learning basic skills I still get intimidated trying to take my bike out on the road because of traffic. One day I look forward to taking my bike to your class for lessons if I do get that far. It would be an honor to learn from a Motorcycle Officer instructor. I want to learn all I can to be an expert and safe rider of the road. I really appreciate you for sharing your videos. I could watch them for hours.
Thank you very much! Just start out in a parking lot with Exercises 1-3. The confidence will build, but you have to take the first steps. You got this! Preload!!! And Keep It Loaded!!!! 👍🏾
I am one of those sad riders in the north with snow everywhere. I can't wait for the spring when I can get back out and do some practicing. Nice job on the video!
Thank You for your exceptional training videos. I did not know how much I’m not doing right - wow. Patience of a saint! You explain every move. And thank you for your years of service in Blue.
Just found your channel today and had to subscribe. Your videos are so informative and you can just tell what a great teacher you are! I'm a new rider starting out this year and I have to say, you have a very special way that you instill more confidence in riders. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and taking time out of YOUR day to teach us, sir! Happy to now be a new memeber of Preloader Nation!
Your advice about practicing with your mind is great. Many years ago when I was in AF pilot training we were told to do that. It was called hanger flying and it helped. I’m going to do more of that with the bike.
By the way we were at Floyd Bennett Field, new restrictions have been put in place so we will try to do something at Breezy Point Beach in Far Rockaway, when the snow is gone. Please be safe!
Thank you for your great channel. I have started to practice slow speed operation as you teach it. I could not donate with Zelle from Belgium but I ordered a "trust and believe " Tshirt in order to support the channel. Take good care of you and your loved ones.
Thank you for this vid. This is one of the thing I struggle with, I'm at work right now but as soon as I get off I'm going home to practice. I was always duck walking my bike out of parking spots...lol
Thanks for this video, I Patrice head and eyes while driving my truck to and from and from work everyday since I can't ride right now, thanks for repeating over and over, keep em coming
Great video Robert, seeing realistic applications of your techniques add a whole new level (to me) and makes it real and not just cones on the ground. Probably won't be parking the chopper 90° due to length but is the spot permits then absolutely will be using this. It's frozen in Texas again so watching these videos is my version of mental training
Txks rob , shout out from Bklyn bro you got mind in 1st all the time , can’t wait to kick them gears again. But watching your videos is a mental exercise for the mean time , keep “em coming bro.
Just found this channel. Wanted to say thank you, these videos are great. My son and I are new too riding, and are always looking for practice techniques. Really appreciate what you do. Thanks for your service. Ride safe
Thanks for watching and hopefully, you’re both subscribed! It’s great that as new riders, you’re already aware of the importance of this skill and are actively practicing it. Good for you!👍🏾😊 Also thanks for the acknowledgment of my service and it’s my pleasure.
Thanks again! Another great video. I'm watching your videos daily. Your helping me out alot. I'm hoping next year to make a trip to Georgia, ill definitely come see ya if I do. Also, you have a beautiful collection of rides!
Robert, thanks for kicking off my Friday evening motorcycle U tube lessons with another great video! I was wondering what t shirt I wanted to order and there it was... trust and believe!! Looking forward to getting it. Til next time my friend.
Hi Robert. It seems like you are the only ‘life’ in your neighborhood. Where is everyone? What do your neighbors think of what you are doing or do they even look and notice? Thank you again for your diligence with giving us the education. You are right, it is dead winter for many of us and we can’t physically practice. We can practice it mentally until spring arrives.
Hey Dallas. That's why I chose my house off of a main road. Not a lot of houses on my block. One way in and one way out, just the way I like it. It's my pleasure.
Thanks Rob for the video! Yes, still waiting for warmer weather. Looks like another week of freezing cold, But I'll be waiting patiently and doing the mental learning!😁 Thanks to you and Anita for all your hard work. PRELOADERS be safe!!
Yes another great video! I have been running through in my mind picturing my training area parking lot thinking about all the steps for doing the turns from a stop. Even the U turns and figure 8's. More snow yesterday unfortunately. More imaginative mental training. Itching to get back out! When I leave and enter the street where I live, it is basically this exact scenario. There is street parking against the curb. There's more space between the cars because there's a driveway I come from to the street. But the exact same concepts and techniques that you exhibit in this video. Thanks for sharing!
Great video brother just more for me to practice once this cold weather breaks up here in Missouri keep up the good work my friend take care an god bless you
Make sure you put the kick stand up before pulling out. I forgot to put stand up on my old Suzuki rode straight for 150 ft. & started to make 90 deg. turn to the left. I made it but my seat had a hole in it. LOL Enjoy your videos & I will be a better rider. 82 year old in body but 18 in the mind.
I didn't see this video when you first released it I just stumbled onto it fantastic content I didn't even know that's how you supposed to park a bike at the curb because I don't really see a lot of bikes parked that way maybe a lot of riders don't know it
Ducks don't walk backwards. now that's funny!! always enjoy watching and learning from you Robert and I will be getting my preloader's sweatshirt need an XL though.
I'd love to go riding with you to observe how you do everything. I just got a bike that is A LOT different then my 750. It's a 1600 and handles much different.
Hermano, otro excelente video. Los ejercicios 1,2 y 3 nunca he tenido problemas. Pero este video me va ayudar mucho y lo estaré practicando esta semana porque lo estaba haciendo al revés, subiendo primero el pie izquierdo y ya avanzando el derecho. confiaba en el freno delantero. Saludos
I love your videos Rob! Thank you for all your helpful knowledge on these beasts that we ride. :) Anita! Thank you for all your hard work and time! It all came out super nice! :)
By the way, there is a mototorcycle cop that has a channel and he has some fairly advance maneuvers he shows what he practices as a cop, Ryan Urlacher.
I don’t want to lower my bike, I’m just short of 5’7” I ride a 2015 Street Glide Special and backing up even on a small hill is so difficult. Please don’t laugh but the only thing I was able to do was buy was buy a women’s boot they have a much lighter wide heel. I’m so embarrassed to say that but it may help someone else out. I hope this may help someone else out. By the way my brother is is 2yrs. Older than me and he is now 72yrs. Old and he doesn’t ride. By the way he was in the 60 precinct Coney Island. And Manhattan each. When I tried to also get on the job they lowered the hight to 5’7” and I came in at 5’6and 3quarters and failed. The story goes on just a little more, I moved down to Fort Lauderdale and Miami was looking for more police so I went to a chiropractor and had me stretched to a little bit over 5’7” my brother and his partner took me up the stairs so I wouldn’t shrink they put me laying down in the car and took me up the stairs at Miami City Hall and they had their arms underneath me so I wouldn’t touch the ground guess what I made the height the only thing is I thought a time in Miami they gave me a color blindness test and I failed that New York at the time didn’t give the test unless you were going to be wanting to ride a motorcycle I was so depressed so I stayed in the family business selling and repairing vacuum cleaners. But without me being a cop three things happen to me that I was able to save three peoples lives. The first one was I pulled somebody out of a burning car on the belt parkway. The Second was in queens that I guess was drunk on a late snowy night and smashed his car into a corner of the building and he was stuck the dashboard collapsed into his right leg so he was stuck and by the way that was the first time The police department went on strike end it was only the sergeants captains and above that were working they couldn’t help him either so they called for the fire department and they had a hard time getting them out which they said they were probably gonna have to call a surgeon to cut his leg off instead I very politely asked the fire department if I could borrow their crowbar and they allowed me I don’t know why but they did and somehow I was able to put the crowbar in just the right spot and his leg fell out. There was one more time that a older woman was having a heart attack in a red lobster restaurant in Coral Springs and that was during the time I took my daughter out for her birthday that was her favorite restaurant and I took care of that woman till an ambulance came to help her and take her away she didn’t make it and my daughter wanted to meet her and she got my information and sent my daughter a big teddy bear for her birthday I never understood why these things Came across my path but I was really grateful that I was able to help without being a cop
Great vedio.. love it.. i have reverse on my Goldwing and i have to make sure the bike is well balanced at all times when using the reverse. Because letting go of the reverse button, the bike can come to a sudden stop.. I came close to dropping the bike that way a few times, not that I haven't dropped the bike before..lol.. thank you for another great vedio Robert
Leaving keys hanging in the garage, an open one at that, I thought a former cop would know better. Also, I have to wonder if you've ever been on a carbureted bike. You start out on a cold bike without warming it up and the utmost confidence that it won't stall out or hiccup on you.
I live in a great neighborhood. I’m not worried about my cars at all. And if someone was brazen enough to enter my neighborhood and enter my garage and take keys and take one of my cars, oh well. It’s just a car that’s insured. But thanks for the concern. The motorcycles that I learned on had chokes so we had to warm those up. I’m not worried about that anymore.

Newer viewer. Been on a binge trying to soak things up. I have a real issue when I am slowing down (but not stopping) to make a left or right turn (left it worse) say on a road when I'm going straight and making a left where a car is stopped waiting for me to make that left turn. Trying to figure out what to do with the clutch, throttle and brakes when slowing down to make such left turns. Do you have a video on that topic? Apologies if I haven't hit on it yet. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed to my RUclips channel!👍🏾😊 ruclips.net/user/BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle Go to my “Rider Tips” playlist and look for Right / Left Turns From A Stop”.

@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle ok.... Because with just starting out, I live in Central PA.... Dirt, gravel, farm dust, and horse droppings are life.... I am planning on grass rides, heard it was closest to wet roads.... But didn't know if you had a video covering it, or planned to do one....
First, understand that I respect you, and your service, and your videos... but does anyone else think it ironically funny that an officer would park 3 vehicles in front of a Fire Hydrant? : )
Thank you very much! If the situation dictates it, sure. Most of the time it will probably make more sense to go straight first to ensure you clear the car(s).👍🏾
Hi Robert off the subject a little lol … is the ceiling of your garage finished in drywall? Looking into finishing my garage .. thanks … pre load and keep it loaded !!!
Parked in front of a fire hydrant? Some motorcycle officer needs to give you a ticket! LOL! Just kidding! GREAT video as usual...thank you for sharing your expertise.

Thanks Marshal!👍🏾😊
Great video brother just more for me to practice once this cold weather breaks up here in Missouri keep up the good work my friend take care an god bless you
Thanks Ben!👍🏾😊
Make sure you put the kick stand up before pulling out. I forgot to put stand up on my old Suzuki rode straight for 150 ft. & started to make 90 deg. turn to the left. I made it but my seat had a hole in it. LOL
Enjoy your videos & I will be a better rider. 82 year old in body but 18 in the mind.
Wow!! Outstanding! Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed!👍🏾😊
I didn't see this video when you first released it I just stumbled onto it fantastic content I didn't even know that's how you supposed to park a bike at the curb because I don't really see a lot of bikes parked that way maybe a lot of riders don't know it
Thank you very much! They don’t.
Great Video I appreciate what you are doing.
Thanks brother! Dido.👍🏾😊
Bike Week. Robert, been watching since the beginning. Hope you decide to roll to Daytona in a few weeks.

Great tutorial.
Also, your exhaust caps look good. They look like Khrome Werks.
Thanks!👍🏾 No those exhaust tips came with the Stage 3 upgrade.

Saludos
¡Gracias hermano!

Hi! Man, please install camera up the clutch, RPM and rear brake. Thanks for your lessons and be safe.
Thanks.👍🏾
Wow I got to say you one bad ass rider
Thanks Shane!

Another great video, thank you so much for sharing and giving up your time to help us become better at slow speed riding!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thank you.

I cover it but not in a video dedicated solely to it. Watch my video on me riding the dragon. I briefly discuss it.
Great video as always! I do have a thought. Would it be easier to simple turn the wheel in the direction right before you leave?
Thank you very much! If the situation dictates it, sure. Most of the time it will probably make more sense to go straight first to ensure you clear the car(s).👍🏾
Keep it going!! Helps
