This footage was originally found discarded in a skip and was restored to the footage you are now seeing. Small snippets of the footage were used for promotional footage but the full tape was never released to the public. This is a fascinating insight into Tim's personality, interview technique and of course it's full of interesting answers and opinions regarding various things.

What a man what a legend
The ONE thing about TIM that always speaks for an Actor is his generous spirit, and graciousness. That is HUGE. When you help a fellow actor Become his BEST self, that speaks loudly for your nature.

i remember the first time i saw him. i felt my heart drop into my stomach. he was the sexiest man i,d ever seen. i just recently found out a out his stroke. i had that same feeling in my stomach

It always amazes me how footage like this is all of a sudden discovered after being missing for 30 years. I'm so thankful for youtube. And thank you xMrsLaGuardiax.
I met him one year before this interview. He had the long hair down to his shoulders. Was cut for Annie right afterwards.
He just makes me melt. One sexy dude. I thought his dancing was very good in Annie. I'm surprsed that he said he'd not danced much before.
p.s.: His imitation of John Huston is dead-on.

Talk about finding gold amid garbage. He is so patient with the half-dead bored interviewer who doesn't seem to have prepared for the interview at all (and inexplicably has no mic)
Ha! I just used the same word - "dead" - above. He's not wearing a mic presumably because it was understood that his brilllllllliant questions would never be part of the final product, mercifully.
Thanks for sharing this. These are what I wished to have seen so many years ago when I was a hardcore Tim Curry/Rock Horror fan. So sad to see him without that amazing smile for miles because of the stroke. Tim and Bowie were my childhood idols and I miss seeing them in movies and working on music. I'll check out all your stuff on Tim for sure, thanks again.

Oh absolutely. I mean who the hell changes much in a mere 32 years? Personally I've never trusted TC and his suspicious ageing rate either. I mean - in 32 years you might expect someones hair gets longer (but only a bit!!) but the way he has actually like changed in terms of getting like older. Blows my mind!! All the 66 year old men I've ever met look exactly the same as when they were 35! I guess Tim's just unique and special and that. But that's why we love him!!

What do you mean, Monica? How can you find stuff like this on RUclips or in general? Typing in 'Tim Curry' on RUclips is going to bring up all the results there are to be found....If you mean how can you unearth 'hidden gems' - well I'm afraid that has nothing to do with what you type into anywhere per se - anything I have and what I've decided to share has come from years of research and building relationships with people. Sorry if I've misunderstood your question, do clarify?
I guess I misunderstood you as well...I thought you found this somewhere on the internet and then posted to you tube to share with all us tim curry admirers....I was not aware that someone gave you an actual copy and then you put it on you tube I thought I was an unsuccessfull internet searcher..i still think I am though so what a lucky girl you are..in the group with that person I ran across who found polaroids of tim a and friends during the filming of rocky...he found them at a subway station in nyc if you can believe that awesome luck for him but not so awesome to who lost them or took them at the time they were having fun times with the cast and friends...so thanks and I hope you ll keep sharing your gems...
monica anastasiadis Yeah a lot of time, research and cold hard cash has gained me all this stuff over the years. I don't claim to own 'everything' but I can guarantee you won't find any more videos of Mr Curry randomly on the internet that aren't already on RUclips/on my channel. The guy who lost those photos on the subway was a well-known Rock Horror collector named Larry V - I managed to hook the 'finder' up with Larry and the guy was kind enough to return them to him - so it was a happy ending!!

monica anastasiadis I'm in the UK :) My love for Mr C was sort a *very* slow burn but it started a decade ago. Like most people I saw RHPS and was intrigued by the man behind the makeup...and I guess I just never stopped being intrigued. And you?

Is it just me or does he look like he's in a bad mood, seems like he does'nt want to be there
I mean... with a dull-ass laconic interviewer like this one, it's pretty hard to keep the tone light, or make an impression with your words. To me, Tim seems game, overlooking the deadness of the interviewer, and - knowing that it was an interview from which mostly small bits would be taken to promote Annie (I presume that's what this is for) - he tries to stay cheery enough that any small chunk will still be appealing; even 'fun'.
The person doing the interview is droll and Tim appears to be trying very hard not to make the guy look stupid.
