    These videos are specifically for Pre-Medical students and these videos are prepared according to the content we are supposed to know for the MCAT. Once we get into Medical School we will learn every detail. These are specially for Pre- Med students like me, so that we can do content review and appear for our MCAT exams. He knows how much to explain for us to understand passages on the MCAT only. If we Pre-Med students dive into each and every details as mentioned in the comments it would take for us another life to come back to earth and appear for exams. So do not worry about the details, WE WILL LEARN ALL THE DETAILS IN MEDICAL SCHOOL. OK.....These are not Medical School lectures FYI

      This comment should be pinned at for every video in this playlist. lmao

    I swear people just read the comments and then make a comment based on that. One guy says something about detail and a bunch of people take it opon themselves to follow suit. RUclips has MILLIONS, literally millions and millions of videos people. I don't think 11 minutes of your time did any damage...

      I agree. People just read the comments and then make a comment based on the read comment. After someone says a detail, quite a few people do the same. There are a lot of people on youtube.

    The pinna isn't an organ that funnels the sound to the ear drum, but an organ that infuses binaural information TO the sound as it enters the canal

    • @WhatsUpBiyach
      @WhatsUpBiyach 4 года назад

      Vestibular system has nothing to do with the earing thats why he blurred it out ! :) I believe

    You said that the fluid moves all the way to the end of the cochlea and back; infact it is the sound wave (disturbance in the fluid) that moves, right?

    • @davekahat
      @davekahat 8 лет назад

      yeah i think he just meant the oscillations of fluid that move, not necessarily the same fluid (endolympth) molecules

    What's the purpose the circular window?

    • @creatorcait
      @creatorcait 5 лет назад

      The circular, or round, window is flexible, allowing the mechanic movements and vibrations to occur in the inner ear. If the membrane wasn't flexible, the incus could stimulate the oval window as much as it wanted, but the mechanical vibrations wouldn't propagate throughout the cochlea as they should, and you would not hear.

    But what’s an anvil?

    • @creatorcait
      @creatorcait 5 лет назад

      It's an English translation of one of the three small bones in the middle ear. Hope this helped! They're the Malleus, Incus, and Stapes. Cheers!

      anvil shape is a metal block of iron or steel on which metals are shaped by hammering it.
      some of the clouds are also described as anvil shaped

    Nice little introductory video but no offence, do you realise how much detail we actually need to know in med school? This is good for school level, but doesn't even scratch the surface of the depth of knowledge we need in medicine. Really doesn't belong in "khanacademymedicine"
    good explanations though
