A few years ago I was down in Georgia. (A long way from the Canadian Rockies!) An overnight layover in Atlanta enabled me to visit the Georgia Aquarium. It blew my mind! They had to ask me three times to leave at closing time. Thanks for sharing your Singapore experience!
Tennessee aquarium is a favorite. It was the worlds largest for about 2 decades. You could make a trip to it and the Georgia aquarium in a weekend with no issue. Both are amazing
Awesome video thank you for sharing. I really haven't been to any large public aquariums, but after seeing this video. I will be looking for them on all my vacations where ever I go. thanks again
The georgia aquarium is nice, but they kinda let there main reef tank display go. A lot of the coral that they used to have is dead and its mainly leathers and monticap now.
Baltimore aquarium is pretty nice. they have a diving tank, artificial coral reef exhibit with black tip sharks and so much more. You should definetly check it out.
Thanks Than! I visit aquariums wherever I go, some of my favorites are Waikiki - because of the natural sunlit tanks, Maui Ocean Center, Monterey Bay, Georgia, Chattanooga has two aquarium buildings - one ocean and one river, Adventure Aq in Camden NJ, Boston and Baltimore.
Awesome looking aquarium. I've only been to one aquarium and it's in my home state of Minnesota. Underwater World at the Mall of America. Great aquarium. Not as nice as this one though. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing footage - thanks so much for sharing this Than! I've only been to one Aquarium myself so far and that was the Tampa Bay one in FL, which is not bad, but nothing near to as impressive as this.
I thought the largest aquarium in the world was in Atlanta, Georgia. I might be wrong but Atlanta even have tiger sharks on the display which will require a really big display
Hi Than, and thanks for the videos. I'm new to salt water (fairly new to fresh as well) and I find your videos very helpful, informative, and inspirational. I now want to go to Singapore. It looks like an amazing place. Anyway, I just wanted to suggest the National Aquarium in Baltimore. I haven't been in quite a few years, but it was pretty impressive back then. I imagine it's even better now. It's also only 5-6 hour drive for you. You could do an overnight week-end trip. Thanks again.
Great video, I think you should make the Singapore video. Seems like a lot of things to do. An aquarium the size of a 747 is pretty impressive! Lots of space to just kick back and enjoy the fish
I think you would like the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. They don't have a lot of reef style aquariums but they do have more of the "habitat" style exhibits. And their Open Sea exhibit used to be the largest window in the world until a sky scraper in Dubai made one larger. Now it's just the largest window in the U.S. Its a very cool place to visit!
I wonder if they are talking about the sheer volume of water or simply the viewing window. I know MBA doesn't have the largest window anymore, but it's still pretty big. It's the only exhibit in the world that successfully kept a white shark beyond two weeks or so. They've successfully housed up to 6 juveniles in the past. Plus they have a Mola. P.S. I really appreciate what you are doing in your videos. They are very informative. Thank you.
The Seattle aquarium is pretty cool, it's the only one I've been to though. I plan on going to point defiance zoo and aquarium soon, I want to check out the new shark tank.
Tan, I love your videos! Found you a few weeks back n have been listening to you a lot lately. (As I upload vids, and listen to them as I wrk, rather than watching them) Today though , I’m binging and actually getting to see more of your special way of showing the corals you talk about. It’s really above par, bud! Thank you for your work! Being that I live in Ohio, I’m hoping to get a day to come up to your new build, if you allow in house customers.... One thing most ppl don’t know, but Singapore has the best (strongest/capitalist ) economy today, coinciding with the lowest taxes, and relatively minimal regs, and lowest unemployment rates. Seems coincidental??? Not so much. Just something to consider next day at the voting booth. 😉
Amazing vid bro. Makes me wanna go in deep debt and go to singapore lol. I shot a vid of our citys aquarium and singapores aquariums make our look like picos lol.
The Steinhart Aquarium is amazing and certainly worth a visit if you are in sf. they have a supper beautiful Tubastrea tank and farm. www.advancedaquarist.com/blog/tubastrea-farming-at-the-steinhart-aquarium
That looks pretty amazing. My family and I recently visited Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. I was very impressed by it. It had some very diverse aquariums, fresh, brackish and salt.
sayar10 The fish you asked about seem to be Old Wives (Enoplosus armatus) See australianmuseum.net.au/Old-Wife-Enoplosus-armatus-White-1790 for more info
***** I am 57 and a Singaporean. So, I knew since young that our National language is Malay. Many people think that because we have the four races, the 4 official languages are Chinese, Malay and English. The four languages are taught in school as second languages while English is taught as a first language. English has always been taught in school because it is spoken all over the world and also for the sake of dealing business internationally. If you read the history of Singapore, the Malay people and Orang Laut lived on the island long before the arrival of Sir Stamford Raffles and other races like the Chinese and Indian people.
Anna Soh The four languages are taught to encourage us not to forget our mother tongues. The Chinese people actually speak in several dialects, depending on where their ancestry comes from. Hence, we Chinese speak dialects and English at home. But, to make it as a communicative language for everyone, we learn to speak Mandarin.
***** Than Thein, you are most welcome. I forgot to thank you for praising my country. Many people expect us to speak and write fluent English, but, many of us speak Singlish too because of the unique bond and easier communication between the 4 races. I heard you mentioning that you were told that our national language is English. Well, I hope that it is not from my countrymen. In that case, please correct them. FYI, I also confirmed with my husband about our national language.
***** Than Thein, no problem. You are a foreigner and of course, you wouldn't know. But, I am touched that you speak highly of my country. There are many who 'slam' my country and I don't understand why they hate Singapore so much. I used to travel a lot and had lived in China, Indonesia and Australia and I saw the bad and good sides of the countries but I never hated them. I always carry the sweet memories of them because I know that no country is perfect. Please drop me a line should you ever visit my country 'cause I feel that I owe you a 'rain cheque' - a lovely lunch.

I just got back from the Okinawa Churami Aquarium in Okinawa Japan and was very impressed with the aquarium. The whale shark tank is rediculous.

Georgia Aquarium is definitely worth a trip.
I dove in the tank at Epcot Center. I thought that was pretty cool. Face to face with some pretty decent size sharks.
National Aquarium in Baltimore
Great vid! Just discovered and subbed your channel. Great work :)
Monterey Bay Aquarium
Baltimore national aquarium is the best on the east coast in my opinion. I'm sure it is small in comparison to Singapore.
6:33 caught ya mirin'
probably japan deep sea tanks
The Seattle aquarium is pretty cool, it's the only one I've been to though. I plan on going to point defiance zoo and aquarium soon, I want to check out the new shark tank.
The Baltimore National Aquarium. I am a high school intern there. It might not have the size of the Singapore aquarium but it is still spectacular.
Hi, let me know when you're back to visit. Would love to show you around and let you have a look at our LFS(s)!
Thanks for the invite! I would LOVE to come back and visit. I'm trying to convince my friends to take a trip with me all the time.

Another reason why our national anthem is sung in Malay and the commanding instructions for marches in the army are given in Malay.
Thanks for visiting my country!! If you do come by again, let me know I can bring you to coral farms around Singapore! Cheers:)
