Juno's grandparents don't know about our relationship. For the older generation, it's still quite controversial for Koreans to date non-Koreans. It makes me sad, but I understand and respect the culture. I am looking forward to meeting his mom's side of the family who are a lot more open and excited to meet me! And Juno has to go because it's Korean culture to visit your grandparents during Korean Thanksgiving and Lunar New Years. So, as frustrating and difficult as it might be, it's necessary to connect with your family at those times.
This is my first time celebrating the lunar new year🐉✨️🎆. My family and I had a great time preparing some traditional Asian New Year dishes and spending time together. Next year we're hoping to attend the lunar night festival they have here. Happy Lunar New Year! 🎉
