Pet Nigerian Dwarf Goat | 2023

We are Susan and Jeff and we met Boots, a Nigerian Dwarf Goat when he was one day old. He was born on February 25, 2022 and is one of four buckings. He looks identical to his mother. We went to visit him daily until he would take a bottle from us. He came home with us when he was ten days old.
This video includes all of our 2023 adventures, our second year with Boots.

Just loved watching your videos with Boots! My first experience with Nigerian Dwarf goats was at a” feed the baby goat farm”. They were not well taken care of and exploited for the money. They had 4 day old white twins who were taken from their mama and the littler one refused to suck a bottle and we were told would most likely die. Being a vet tech for 12 years I asked if my husband and I could come and work with her. We dove 20 miles each way back to the farm everyday & tried different formulas, nipples (my ear lobe)and just loved on her all day. After about 10 days she finally started to suck on her own!!! We pulled her through! We bonded very strongly and it was heart wrenching to have to leave her as the owner would not sell her. We saw the horrible conditions and rotten food, dirty water etc all the animals there were under and we worked volunteering 10 hrs a day to try to make things better but that caused problems with the owner and we had to leave. We were heartbroken as little Bella and her sister Precious so bonded to us cried out for us. We offered any amount of money to try to get them, but they would be a money maker for that place along with the 35 other goats, for the bottle feed the”baby goats” for $40 every weekend so they would not let her go. Leaving and hearing them bleating maaaa maaaa for us was one of the most devastating experiences ever. Still sob now almost a year later. So thank you so much for posting your videos with your incredible bond with Boots. It touched my heart deeply and made me smile!!

We were so fortunate to find Boots breeders . They were and still are the most amazing people who love there goats and are absolutely all about the best care for them. Good on you for trying your best to care for them…Boots gives you a heart felt high-five 🥰🐐
