he finally figures it out around minute 40.

What’s great is that the Milwaukee kits come with an M18 1/4” impact driver that gets very little use if you already have the M12. But a compact M18 1/2” impact… now that’s something!
I have to give you props that is awesome
Wish this was a video but this is amazing. Anvils ordered.
How? Did you find someone who already parted out the tool? Milwaukee doesn't have a part number assigned to the anvil yet
They sell the 3/8 one
@@PaftDunk i ordered a 1/2 one too but its a little different. Gonna try to modify it too wor

Am grateful when the Mrs. supports me as well in my doings too Man Caver. Thanks for posting and when can I send mine in for same mod 😀☕️🤘
I thank you Noname
Do you think the stubby anvil will fit the m12 fuel aswell?
Ive been wanting to try to perform the same surgery on my Bosch IDH 182. I don't need the 1/2 in. square drive with 1/4 . Just switch it to 1/4 collet. Now I'm gonna do it. Just hope everything fits.
I do thank you so much for viewing :)
Dude this is awesome! You should have used a one key though. When it comes to one key you have no idea how useful it is till you have. It’s bullshit for the drills put for the impact drivers and wrenches you control over max speed, min speed, max torque, ramp up speed and how many anvil strikes (1-10 or off for infinite). Also the tool has 4 modes instead of 3. I have the first 3 set to lower settings and the 4th speed to max. The slowest speed I have set for slow ramp up half the max RPM and 3 anvil strikes.
THIS WAS WHAT WE LOVE TO SEE, I HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL AND LIKED THE VIDEO. (IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE A 3/8 DRIVE EXTENDED LONG REACH RATCHET ANVIL) WITH A 1/4 DRIVE EXTENDED LONG REACH RATCHET?????????? THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT SO HAPPY I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL.

I wonder if dogs get confused when their masters start talking to people who aren't physically there.
I bet they do lol
but im pretty my dog thinks im crazy
Do you know if you can change the 7/16 xDrive to a half inch anvil
Will this work on the Milwaukee M 18 surge 🤷♂️
I don’t understand why Milwaukee have the 1/4” hex in an impact put way too beyond the bits limit, I have to only use to the setting #2 because if I use #3 will snap all the times the bit.
Or didn’t find one enough strong to support it.
are the gearboxes the same ratio?
I might have missed parts of your dialogue, but what motivated you to swap anvils? Is there different gearing or motor power ratings on each tool?
it performs better than the 1/2" stubby. he did a real world test on his channel and a torque test on the torque test channel
I Thank you so much for viewing :)
@@ManCaverTools my pleasure 👌. So what motivated you to swap the anvils?
@@thomasr1051 yes I saw that first actually 👍. I'm curious how he predicted the result to be motivated to take on that experiment.
Was the O-Ring not searing down all the way
It's like I have friend that accidentally hits the dislike button on every one of my uploads ,I see they follow you lol
snap, I wonder who that is
@@ManCaverTools just some dis- licker
Great job, my question is like everyone else. for the 1/2 anvil what is the part number? you mention the 3/8 will fit with out drilling out the housing?
I Thank you so much for viewing :)
@@ManCaverTools no worries... can you answer my question please?
I agree. I want to know the part number. I'm wanting to do the same thing. Have 2 of the fuel impact drivers. And only need 1.
part number is 42-06-2555 m12 fuel 1/2" anvil
But would the surge work that thing makes way more torque. If it could be done with the surge then I bet it will beat the m18 impact idk about the high torque one but the mid for sure
I thank you for viewing
It will work it has been done before on RUclips and I have done one for my self and it works great if it’s done right you have to drill the hole just right and then it will work
Anthony Barbee. What part number. I have the m18 fuel 1/4 impact driver. I have 2 of them actually. And don't need 2. So I'm wanting a impact. And I really like this idea alot. Thanks in advance!
Has anyone figured out the P/N for either the 3/8 or 1/2 anvil to use in the M18 yet? Tired of snapping adapters on mine and ready to perform this upgrade!
What was the model # of the donor stubby impact?
I will do a video on that soon
I am hopping to see it ASAP@@ManCaverTools and I also wonder if you already made a video tutorial for swaping the Milwaukee M18 2953-20 with a 3/8 anvil
Question Boss!! I'm planning to do this, but going with a 3/8 Anvil. That being said I've read a comment where you chimed in and said an M12 Anvil might fit better so do you think I should hunt down a M12 or M18 3/8 Anvil? If I decide to make it a 1/2 same question to anvil recommendation. Living life on the edge with Frankenstein tools LOL. Thanks
I Thank you so much for viewing :)
@@ManCaverTools Dang bro you had me waiting like a kid in candy store for a suggestion 🤷♂️🤦♂️😭LOL. Just gonna hunt down an M18 Anvil since that worked for you.
@@johnny4713ify hello. Did you ever do your Frankenstein? I want to do my also with 3/8. I think I’m another video (later) he mentioned using the m12 because it had a better fit. But I think that’s for the 1/2
@@omardominguez2936 Hi Omar, unfortunately no I ended up just picking up the new Gen 2 1/2 Midtorque since it's almost as small as my 3/8 stubby with crazy power. My 3/8 stubby is my work horse tho and I run it with a 6.0 battery most the time plus it gets into places even a Frankenstein can't reach because of the battery boot design. As far as making a Frankenstein 3/8 version from what has been posted it's a no go you can only make it in a half inch version JJROCK5 has a video on one he made and explains the reasoning when he attempted the 3/8 Anvil you'll just end up leaking grease. I did end up sending in my beat up driver that I was planning on doing the conversion to in for service and they upgraded the internals and collet LOL. Anyhow if you do not have a stubby or thinking of picking up Milwaukee's new compact impact then I'd say go for it Although the New Midtorque is pretty awesome and small with a HO3.0 battery. Type Frankenstein m12 on youtube search you'll see jjrock5 video's. Let me know how it goes👍
@@johnny4713ify its the fuel m12 stubby part# 42-06-2555
I have a 2853 impact driver that has had litter used and it is acting up. I have to dropped it in order to work some times. But if I do if modification it will cost me more than buying the whole new tool.
there has been updates on me making this tool. I said it in a few videos but ill make ac actual video on it this week
@@ManCaverTools can you put a 3/8 anvil in the M12 impact driver
I'm interesting in doing that to my M12
You don’t have it together right
If I was to do this could I use the 3/4 anvil and not require modifying the housing?
He had to modify the housing for 1/2". Why would you want 3/4" in this form factor?
I thank you for viewing :)
@@hondaguy9153 because all my sockets are 3/4
@@plproductions8887 do you mean 3/8?
@@AlexA-yj9ft yes that’s right apologies
My wife would kill me if I used her towels like that.
So a 3/8 would fit without drilling??
I will hav to find out
Too small
Where do I get your parts?
I am looking to see if I can get the anvil by itself without taking apart a tool
Think maybe next time you should take video of you taking it apart so you have something to review when you are lost. This video could have been way shorter and less confusing to you and me.
I did actually, they have been uploaded a long time ago
ATG is done that on the Ryobi brushless impact driver over 3 years ago.
This person and as well other do not want to tell you the part number for 3/8" or 1/2".
If you want to mod your Ryobi or IR, reply with your email address.
Please help us out bro. I want to do the same mod. I've read that you changed out the M18 1/2 Anvil and now there's no wobble. Can you please let me know what Brand model part number that worked. I know there are other subscribers that have been asking the same so please 🙏 help us out. Thanks a million.
I did make a video on how to do it. this was just a live stream
Is the anvil available I want to do this
I Thank you so much for viewing :)
Sorry I couldn't be there today what the tall has to say good bye to a friend Don't know how much longer she be here To me was long but more important 😟😟😟
its all good bro. I thank you for tuning in when you can though
I just gotta ask..
Has Milwaukee called yet?
It looks like maybe, well, might they throw you a bone?
An atta-boy?
Job offer?
Cease and desist order?
put the anvil between hammers and then place insde

Cái đó bán ở đâu chỉ mình được ko
Did you ever figure out why that part didn’t fit?
I Thank you so much for viewing :)
Potted electronics is really shitty actually. If they weren't potted, you could repair the tool. Because they're potted, if there's a failure, you have to replace that whole $120 board to fix a $150 tool.
I thank you for viewing :)
But they are so much less likely to need replaced and are far more water and drope resistant. Falls from height and wayter are the most likely killers of hand held power tools. Why would you want the tool to be more fragile? The vast majority of these boards are going to outlast the tool around them.
@@chris6200 that's a fair point.
REALLY
I did wait to see, wait and wait and wait and... ...no... 😠
What's an M18 Stubby?
Part Number?
Why do this, they now have the Gen 4 line of Impact Wrenches, with "Tri-light" Ooh Yeah!
Now, if you took that Gen 4 Impact Wrench and put the 1/4 Hex Chuck on there you'd be Golden!
because I wanted to and the m18 stubby is 2855 I think
@@ManCaverTools
Good job.
Figure out how to get that 1/4 Hex Anvil on that M18 "Stubby" Impact Wrench you'll have my full and total respect & admiration.
Best Regards!
