@@buggaboo2707 i notice if i kick straight the kick will come more of a down up motion while if i bend the knee it'll come more horizontly better if you want to avoid kicking elbows.
@@hellscorpio82 Maybe.... but i think it should vary more on your translational motion... if you kind of lunge in, you can bend knee and strike across the front of opponent with your upper shin, and push them back
@@hellscorpio82 anyway, it's good to explore every little difference, and take advantage of what might work for you situationally.... often you have to reduce telegraph and power, but you need to know how to throw power when it's open

I always thought Muay Thai didn’t extends the knee when they throw a round kick because that’s more karate style?
Some kick more straight legged, others do bend knee.... you can do either or both... advantages to either, situational
