Just wanna say thank you. I've learnt a whole lot about different cereals from your videos 😃 There's surprisingly little out there on some of these cereals on RUclips. But there's few cereals I couldn't rely on you to talk about 🙂 Kudos.
I'm hyped I remember back when the cupcake ones came out I fell in love went to go get a box and they were gone ! Ever since I kept double checking year in year out to search for that flavor than today BOOM 💥 FINALLY THEY ARE BACK ‼️
I think the reason they abandoned the idea of having Pebbles and Bamm Bamm as the mascots of this cereal is because Fred and Barney are more commonly associated with the Pebbles cereal, and the concept of Barney stealing Fred's Pebbles cereal is iconic with the cereal. I'm surprised Barney didn't try to steal Fred's Pebbles in the 50th Birthday commercial.
I am really surprised that Fred and Barney had been the Pebbles mascots for over 50 years. My brother and I had thought about something, Kids today don't know who these characters are, If someone were to show the Flintstones to todays kids, they would probably say "Hey Look! It's the Fruit Pebbles Guy!". So hopefully since some Hanna-Barbera classics are getting some form of reboot, these 2 duos would return to the spotlight and even get that Barney stealing Fred's pebbles scenario commercial again.
I've also seen Frankford chocolates release Christmas and Easter white chocolate candies with Fruity Pebbles embedded in them. Fred's on the packages, but they're shaped like a snowman and a bunny respectively. They aren't anniversary related, but it's the first time I've seen Pebbles used outside of the Post cereals and cereal bars. I wish I could get my hands on that ice cream, though. My local supermarket had it for a week, and never restocked the things.
I can only find eight things wrong in the pic on the box back. 1. Barney's shoe (given). The characters rarely if ever wear shoes. 2. Barney is eating his Pebbles with a fork. 3. Mr. Slate is holding his horn backwards (given). 4. Wilma's mother's balloon is a bowling ball. 5. The windows: through one we see day, the other night (this is the coolest one). 6. The pencil candle on the cake. 7. Wilma's snorkel (given). 8. Dino is wearing an ice cream cone on his head rather than a party hat. Potential candidates (and these are desperate, I know): A. The rectangular-shaped piece of cereal at the top (like a piece of PEZ). B. The misspellings on the cake... although this feels like a huge cheat to me. C. The cat is floating/defying gravity. D. "...and You're Invited!" - I never received a formal invitation. E. No one's wearing masks. #Reckless. F. Is that a basketball in the upper right? G. There's no obvious source of lighting yet everyone and everything is lit perfectly. H. There's no mouthpiece on Betty's horn. Anyone else? Hint: My eight answers were correct and two of my potentials also turned out to be on target (#5 and #6 in the image)... although I question at least one of them.
