Hoolie in The Hydro 2023 - Part 1

Scotland’s biggest night of traditional music, Hoolie 2023, celebrates Runrig’s 50 years of musical legend. The musical celebration includes Scottish supergroup Mànran, Celtic rockers Wolfstone, festival favourites Trail West plus an array of special guests. Presented by Julie Fowlis and Coinneach Macleod, the Hebridean Baker.

Scotland can't let go of Runrig...and well they shouldn't. They were/are a national treasure and this show was a fitting tribute. If only we here in The Colonies had been able to enjoy them in person before Bruce was lost and the band hung it up...but they quit on top, and that's as it should be. Kudos to Mss. Fowlis, Matheson, the whole crew and deagh obair!!

I rarely leave comments about much to do with Runrig these days, but can't truly think of anything that compares to all this, all because really quite essentially Calum and Rory would be asked around to dinner on a Sunday night by Blair Douglas and/or his mother in Glasgow (which Calum I think said once on their 30th anniversary thing on BBC Radio Scotland, was very welcomed at the time lol) and she mentioned was desperate for a band, is why they started essentially haha.
