Great pod. Love that you were able to provide such good insight on Bobby. Also side note. Personally I also lived in Gold Coast for about a year. I did one of my academic years at Griffith. So you got another partial Aussie as a pistons fan! Back living in Florida now

I think we should look into trading for Jonathan Isaac. One of the best rim protectors in the whole league, only 26 years old still, would fit seamlessly with the starters or the bench, plus this young team desperately needs a vet who’s been through a lot of stuff in this league already. Could even work with the magic on a sign trade and pay a lot of up front money to a free agent they want or something. They already have Paolo, Wendell Carter, Franz and Mo Wagner, Celeb Houston, and Jet Howard. A lot of wing/forward depth there

The problem is offensively. He shoots a decent percentage but he’s treated as a non shooter l
And as much as I love Isaac $17m + assets for 900 minutes is a lot. He’s more of a luxury piece

The best thing about trading a 2nd for J Isaac is being able to waive his contract on New Year's Eve. He will be a nice trade asset when teams paying taxes realize they aren't making the playoffs.

Goga Bitadze is a big I like that offers good defense. He doesn't offer much on offense. I like Naji Marshall as a wing.

Ausar is going to be a stud. Remember, OTE had Alex Sarr, Dillingham, +others. And Ausar won the MVP not his brother but Ausar. Hes not going anywhere.
I dont think the young guys are going anywhere.

Ausar and Holland will never be able to see the floor together.

    • @michaelahurt
      @michaelahurt 2 месяца назад

@@luniz4209 Yeah it’s extremely unlikely. You basically need to have Lauri at PF and Chet at C to make that work.
Best case for both is probably just being an average shooter

Just need one of Ausar or Ron to develop a shot.
Replacing Duren would help greatly. We need two stretch centers.

@@pheralanpathfinder4897 Cade can’t get to the rim _with_ a screen let alone without one
Stretch fives are good for guys like Ivey or Shai who can blow by their defender or for shooters like Curry and Haliburton who can pull the defense out to 30 feet.
Guys like Cade and Luka rely on the screen to create an advantage against their defender and then are able to read the defense to find the best look. That roll man is what makes them good
If you take away the roll man you might as well trade Cade because he can’t threaten defenders in isolation with his rim pressure enough to get valuable shots or to draw a second defender. Reading that PnR is a huge part of what makes him good
Boston’s entire strategy was switching to make Luka go one on one and take a bunch of mid-range shots. And Cade is worse so if it works on Luka it’ll be really bad for Cade
That’s why replacing Duren would be idiotic. He’s not only an elite roller but he is good enough to score on post ups against smaller players. And even if he doesn’t get the ball, he’s an elite offensive rebounder. That’s why teams didn’t switch that PnR. They don’t want a small on Duren

The Pistons and Timberwolves trade was reported to be apart of a bigger trade that won't be finalized until July 7th after the memorandum period. What are you hearing? Is Detroit getting Naz?

I’m just super excited Monk and Claxton re-signed.
Monk just doesn’t fit defensively with Cade and Duren has more long term potential than Claxton. I also don’t completely trust Claxton with a big contract
KCP would probably take at least $100m/4 otherwise idk why he wouldn’t just take $100/5 from Denver.
I think Gary Trent Jr, Tobias on a short deal and Caplea would be good haul.
The priority should be solidifying the depth and providing shooting on offense and competence on defense
