Wow asch sounds like a hypocrite when he says Inferiority complex
So does Asch have like, a mutual respect for,Luke?
Not really respect, he just wants Luke to be strong since his body is deteriorating so while he still hates Luke for stealing his home and life, he knows that after he dies Luke will represent his existence and memory.
@@Netherwolf6100 Which is a bit of a problem with Asch's thinking. For one, Luke didn't choose to take his identity. He was placed there by Van to be used as a sacrificial lamb. All those times Luke has lived his life, he truly believed that he was the original Luke Fon Fabre. Up until the Akzeriuth Incident and finding out the truth from Asch(Real Luke Fon Fabre). Ever since then, Luke's had a self-worth/confidence problem within himself and blamed himself for the events that occurred when there are still things that are further from the truth. He believes he's just a waste of space that shouldn't be alive, his insecurity has been blinding him to realize that he can live his own life. He can either live with a new name for himself with a different life or he could still live as a Fabre, even if he has to change his name. It's been one of the obstacles Luke faces as he struggles to change himself after his actions and unwillingness to take responsibility for him after Akzeriuth's destruction did drive his friends away from him for a time.

@@neojay7522yeah but this is more like your boss hired a new guy and you are tasked to train them with everything you know and then after a month or so once the new guy got the hanging of the job, your boss fires you and you get replaced by the new guy.
Technically the new guy stole your job but it was your boss that set everything up without you or the new guy's knowledge
@@MrGamer1992 To be fair, Asch was 10 when this all happened. His family didn't seem to realize the Luke they had wasn't him, and that image has stayed with him since. No doubt he's been stewing in this for years with Van fanning the flames. Plus, as we've seen, the Fabre family is pretty dang stubborn. I doubt much is gonna get through that thick head of his.
