- For the very first time, workers of the Amazon Labor Union were successful in organizing a union at an Amazon facility. I congratulate them on their extraordinary victory. I believe it's going to be a shot in the arm for this country's labor movement.

There needs to be laws that provide adequate, equal TV commercials & other media advertising for ALL political campaigns, as well as allowances for campaign management, and no extra private or corporate donations allowed for any candidates, but adequate proportional taxes to the wealthy and corporations that provides fair and honest elections to help ensure the best qualified and honest politicians that represent all, not just the wealthy, win campaigns. We also need to add a vote of no confidence like The UK ; Canada has that can be called by enough citizens signing up, if they don't measure up after being elected. The poor and disappearing middle class should not have to use Their limited funds to support honest politicians campaigns like Bernie Sanders. Bernie us one of the few always striving for the people. We need to achieve this while he's still here. The DNC rigged 2 primaries in a row, to prevent Bernie from winning the primaries. Trump knows, he had people taking honest polls all over. Exit polls didn't match reported wins.

I use my job as an opportunity to be that annoying friend that won't shut up about politics. Luckily, despite the reputation I face amongst my peers, I've changed minds and it all hinges on you speaking up. There will always be people positioned to oppose societal progress, you just have to be willing to look them in the eye and say "no" to terrible working conditions

@@hectortoledo5914 I am self employed but i am PRO UNION. I am a Texan and i know the corporate bias in this state is downright abusive. I got screwed so many times by companies until i went on my own. I got very lucky. When unions are strong the whole middle class gets strong!!

I hope this victory can be leveraged into a clear message to the millions of enraged Americans. Ultra conservatives don’t bring you a say, but organizing with your coworkers does. This is how you leverage your voice, one of many expressing the needs common to us all for fair wages, PTO, universal health care and agency in gov and work.
Bernie Sanders has been fighting for the rights of the workers & the underdog his whole life. He may never have the respect he deserves from the establishment, but he has both respect & love from those of us who have followed his career for decades. "We don't believe we a need a union to be an intermediary between us and our employees" - says the people with all the power and leverage over their exploited workers. We do need a change in power dynamics in all workplaces. Employers have way too much control over employees and nobody stopping the higher ups from exploiting them.
The union is not an intermediary. The union IS the workers. And the workers are wise to the company lies.
