I'm a Knicks and Duke fan and I was scouting Okafor for my Knicks (armchair scouting) and I couldn't help but notice Grant absolutely go off against the Dukies. After that game, I knew which PG I wanted for the Knickerbockers and his name was not Tyus Jones.
Up doing late homework for my Knicks team, grant is good!! I actually think this team is good they just need to get there chemistry and believe in the system and each other..Hopefully they have the swag to start ASAP and hopefully one of these young guys can become a leader fast!! Take your shots and make them fear you so your penetration catches them off guard which will allow opportunities for others to score or pass into more opportunities.
Much respect to Tim Hardaway Jr but he was disappointing last season. It was his time to step up and he didn't. He could have been the second best player on the team but at no point did he stand up and prove himself. Phil Jackson made the right decision trading for Grant. At least he'll give 110%

He doesn't stand around waiting for the ball to come back to him. Or passing it off and hoping that things work out. Stuff like this speaks volumes about his I.Q. but time in the NBA will tell us more about his pedigree.
We picked up his teammate (who out played him in Spain) Guillermo Hernangomez at #26. That's a steal. Taking a project at #4, even if that project eventually pans out, is a disaster. TRADE BACK!
he has the make up of a NBA draft steal. He's good for the knicks b/c he can create offense for himself and his team which is the #1 thing that the knicks needed. also, he's more mature than the other draftees. Holding out for 4 years in elite D1 competition is a good look for a player when pro teams are analyzing him/her.
I like this kid better than Russell and Mudiay for the Knicks. And I liked THJ, and maybe the Knicks gave up on him too soon.... but I do like Grant and liked watching him in the tourney almost beat I think it was Kentucky on a last second shot.
From analyzing his game abit he plays like Russel Westbrook with less hops & athleticism, but more passing vision in opencourt & halfcourt/pick & roll. He attacks the rim from the same type of angles, but not the superior finisher Westbrook is. The Knick draft hinges on this kid since Porzingis is a 2yr project with high upside potential.
