Hands down the best cake that ever came out of Germany. The bitter chocolate, the sweet cream and the sour cherry create such a unique blend of flavor, it simply can not be compared to anything else.

Mr. Chaudhary's facial expressions always say so much, but you could tell how excited he was to try this (as I know he loves sweets!) from the tone of his voice when he said "bismillah." I know he's always grateful for the food he gets to try, but he was so excited before even the first bite this time!
He does have a sweet tooth!

Black Forrest cake is one of my favorites, too. The Black Forrest is a region in Germany, where the cake was originally made. Loved to see them ditch their spoons because they liked it so much. 😄
Lots of the cakes have mock cream on not the real whipped cream. My Dad once quite a while back along with a present for my Birthday also gave me a bottle of French wine and Black Forest cake. I remember my invited guest not showing up and I ate half the really yummy cake and washed it down with the whole strong French wine. You could say I was a bit tiddily after it.

He said he broke his dentures. As bad as i need a new partial trying to use it broken i know what hes going through. I think he may just have the pieces glued together. He hasnt looked happy since. Maybe we can start up a fund to replace both mine and his broken teeth

One of my fondest memory was eating Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest Cake 🍰) at the German bakeries when I lived in Germany 45 years ago. All their pastries are fabulous but this was my favorite; that cake was exquisite 😋.
This is my favorite cake. Not sickenly sweet. I made it every year for Christmas for many years. Nice to see the gang enjoying it.❤️
Do you use the glazed cherries, or the ones from a jar or can. I personally do not like glazed cherries and use the cherries that come in a glass jar.
@@jennysmith38 At Christmas I always used canned cherries, not cherry pie filling just plain canned cherries. Personally, I like the sour ones because I like the contrast between the cherries and the sweetness of the cake. In summer, it's fun to make it with fresh Bing cherries when they're in season. I've never used glazed cherries for this cake.

If you ever get to Epcot Center Germany in Disney World, try it there. I had it when I was twenty one and I am fifty five now. I still remember that cake.
Mine too. Trouble is a lot of bakers use a mock cream not real whipped cream. Quite a few years ago my Dad who I saw only a couple of days a year as well as giving me a Birthday present gave me a black forest cake and a bottle of French wine. A guest I invited that day did not show leaving me all alone. Upset I ate half of the yummy rich cake and washed it down with the bottle of French wine which was quite strong. After wards I was feeling no pain for awhile.

Schwarzwälder Apfeltorte is more common then the blueberry version. The blueberry version I make with Verporten egg nogg, on the top of the creme. The original Kirschtorte is with Kirschwasser on the chocolat biscuit.

Love these men. Seeing them experience and taste things I've known all my life is refreshing. I do hope Rana's mouth is soon more comfortable - he is so stoic despite the discomfort. And Rafique - the pleasure his face displays always brings a smile! All of them are lovely people!

Love how much they love this cake...💜 the cake was created in Black Forest Germany in a folk celebration it is decorated to resemble the traditional dress of the women folk dancers. Black dress = the chocolate cake & chocolate shavings, the white blouse = whipped topping, round flat hat with red balls on top = cherries. It is enjoyed around the world.

Seeing the other video of where chaudhary actually lives and what he does to survive makes me love and enjoy this video even more. I wish I had the money to send them so that they could live easier. Seeing their happiness reminds me of when I was poor as a child and the excitement I would get with the littlest things. Now my own children are spoiled and want more and more but it's the way of the world now when you live in America like I do. I love watching videos like this though because it reminds me there are still unspoiled people out there and they are far happier than I am.
As poor as they are, they're still happy, no complaining, just joy at being alive! An example for everyone.

In 1984, I lived in Paris for 9 months and one of my “missions” was to find the best Black Forest cake I could. I tried numerous patisseries and if I remember correctly I decided that the best was near the Eiffel Tower…. I went back a decade later- gone. And maybe my tastes have changed too. I am so glad to see these guys eating cakes!

Cracked up when Chaudhary picked the cake up and crammed it into his mouth. He was in 7th heaven with that cake… and who could blame him, a Black Forest gateau is delish. Although the sponge looked dry and not as dark as it should be. Needless to say that didn’t put off our heroes who all seemed to love it. Such interesting, humble and truly loveable gents!
