    Hello Dear Readers and subscribers to my channel.
    FYI, I am teaching in Sydney, Australia and have very little time to interact with people while I'm on the road, so forgive me if I'm unable to get to all your questions. It will be another 4 weeks before I'm able to put any time of significance into supporting you all, but will do my best with the little time I do have.
    Love and chi,
    Paul Chek

    Thank you Paul for the insight. I've been looking into this type of exercise/test to determine my own postural strengths and weaknesses. I've also had the opportunity to enlighten people at my own gym about tonic and phasic muscles. Before this video it was difficult for me to explain in my own words on how these muscles work, but thanks to you it's become very clear. Have a great day!

    Great video Paul you are a legend.! i have a problem and would love some information from you. i have a lazy eye witch means 1 of my eyes is weaker then the other 1(the right one is weaker) . From doing some research from Elliot Hulse i have come to realize that this has effected my posture but not in the way you describe in the video as i am very conscious of posture when exercising and in general my every day life. My problem i think is some kind of rotation problem or a left to right imbalance as i feel my body imbalanced when i exercise. if possible can you give me some information on what this imbalance is called and if there is any place i can get some information? Thank you.!

    Thanks for the insights on posture!
    I'm curious: what are the most amazing healings that you have performed in other people? In other words, what were those of the so called "incurable diseases" (according to mainstream medical science) that you managed to heal in someone else, that left you extremely impressed?

    Hi Paul,
    This is unrelated to this particular video, but after watching your series on "what is organics" I'm still struggling with the purchase of food. I know your visiting us in Sydney soon. Was wondering if you could tell us where you by your food from when you visit us. Australian certified organics have a 1yr auditing period. Their standards document available online is hard to decipher for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Paul, my left lumbar erector, or spinal erector is larger than the right. It's been an on going problem for months now, and I don't know where to begin?? Is there anyway you could work with me or point me in a direction? I'm lost and I'm scared honestly.

    If you should be able to hold yourself in this extension for 4 minutes does that also mean, that you should be able to hold a plank for 4 minutes as a test of tonic flexor funtion?

    Hey Paul, I have a kind of random question for you, but I have been wondering. I find the phenomenon of passion fascinating. What I call passion is this: when you take away all motives rooted in ego, and yet there is something you want to do just for the sake of doing it. Not for money or anything else. You have some insight into the spiritual side of human beingness I believe, perhaps you know where does the passion come from? Is it some kind of inner compass to point us to explore in life what we decided before we incarnated?

    • @rajinfootonchuriquen
      @rajinfootonchuriquen 5 лет назад

      I think that you describe more a hobbie, an activity doing for the plesure of doing it. For me passion come with a goal in mind, with mindfull practice for reaching your goal. For example: You love to play the piano. Always when you can, you play the piano but you are not interesting in be a good pianist because for that you have to practice in a very productive manner, and is boring for you, so at least you want to become a good pianist, the practice and constant seek of improvement will in the future make you quit the piano. But if you really love to play piano, the seek of improvement it give you in a natural way because you realize that if you want to explore the full potential of the piano, you need to be more skillful.
      In my case I like to play the bass. I think i play like 3 times per week, sometimes more but Im not interesting in dominate all types of playing or play really hard stuff. I like to play the songs i like and thats it. But in another case, I always study exercise programming, nutrition and training methodology because Im passionate to train people and me the smartest way possible. Some times is the old school type of training, some times is russian periodization and sometimes is just what feels right. Thats my passion, improvement general health of me and my peers.

    M. Chek, can you please talk about the case where the pelvic is anteriorly tilted? Can we use the same exercice or should we focus on the abs instead?

    I tried this exercise with swissball and something to lock on my feet on the same height and I could not go over a minute because my hamstrings got tired. Am I doing something wrong?

    • @paulchek1781

      JechtNH
      Without seeing you, I can't answer the question. If you positioned yourself as I showed in the video and got hamstring fatigue, it suggests that your hamstrings are a weak link in the postural function of your extensor chain.
      The hamstrings are predominantly fast twitch, but do also serve postural function. It is quite normal for people's hamstrings to fatigue and need tonic conditioning. Just do the test as an exercise as suggested until you can pass the test. As your hamstrings strengthen, you are likely to find your back becoming the next area that feels fatigued.
      Much chi,
      Paul Chek

    Hey there Mr.Chek
    With the news of scientific studies now saying muscle building supplements are linked to testicular cancer, I would like to ask you if you have used or currently using any kind of ''physical performance/fitness'' oriented supplement. I am a 19 year old male who has been considering about getting started with a protein powder or something like that ( My training age is 2 years in terms of weightlifting, I used to be a competetive swimmer, but blew up my shoulder and had to stop doing it). What product/brand would you suggest? If any at all? ( Btw love the New Chapter products)

    • @paulchek1781
      @paulchek1781 9 лет назад +5

      Yiğit Ünlü
      There is no need for such supplementation if you follow the principles I teach in my 4 Doctors ebook and my book How To Eat, Move and Be Healthy! The only thing I suggest is an organic whole food multivitamin as an insurance policy, but such vitamins are not isolates, and not synthesized, they are simply concentrated high quality foods; this is essentially a means of adding nutrient variety.
      The grand majority of the products used by people for "muscle building" are JUNK and add much more stress to the body than benefit. It would be wise for you to read the book titled, "The Real Truth About Vitamins and Antioxidants" by Judith DeCavva...a very good education for you.
      I have been coaching and training athletes at all levels in a wide variety of sports for over three decades, and I can site hundreds of cases where I had athletes come to me with all sorts of health and performance problems that were taking loads of "performance supplements", vitamins and about everything money can buy and I always start by taking them off of all supplements for a week. IN EVERY CASE, they all felt much better off the supplements and eating real food and always wondered why the hell they ever got stuck in this trap...
      Supplementation, when used, must be directed by a skilled professional that is monitoring biochemical, hormonal, and other markers to avoid creating more problems than good. This is a very rare case today, where people are forever seeking short cuts. There are NO shortcuts to improving athletic performance, and learning how to "do the work intelligently" is the only way to create long-term results. Most of the people marketing such products (for money) are "fit sick people", and are shortening their careers, or at minimum, complicating them.
      Love and chi,
      Paul Chek
