Paul CHEK is an incredible soul. This man’s principles have helped me live to my ultimate potential and achieve excellence in every aspect of my life. May great spirit bless his soul.
Hi Paul, I'm a 19 year old healthy man, (i'm not the guy on the picture) and i scored about 87 on your HTEM&BH questionnaire in total. I want to get into mma training but the only gym in my environment gives lessons from 7 to 9 pm. I followed HLC1 where you advice not to do exercise in the evening due to sleep disruption. Will there be any significant disruptions in sleep quality if i would do a 30 minute yoga/stretching routine prior to bed time (about 10:30-11pm i'm going to bed) in combination with an alternating cold/hot shower? Thanks a lot!
Hi paul Im 17 and I'm going to be taking some of your courses soon and start making my way to at least CHEK practicioner level 4 after that. But I have hit an new obstacle. I currently cant get an appointment with my local physio and I have some pain to the back and left side of my thoracic vertebra at about t3-4. Nothing seems bulged to the touch but some nerves are being pinched, there is inflammation in the same area and im worried I wont be able to do any spine loading lifting again. The pain sometimes makes me too angry and upset to think of how to help myself. Please advise me on how I can help myself I'm trying to be positive but I'm slowly getting more and more desperate.
Hey Eli, I just read your comment and thought I'd point you in to the direction of something that I have been researching a lot lately and have found to be really helpful in pain management. Its called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping. It works with the chinese meridians end points of the body. Check it out if you like. It can't do any harm :) All the best, hope it helps you.
Hey Paul, great video I just purchased your e-learning course PROGRAM DESIGN and eating the chek way audio..which was downloadable(on 7 TH APRIL) for 130 dollars and 25 dollars... I wanted to ask you if there is any way that i can download the videos for my personal use?? In India the internet speeds are horrible...and i can only view your videos in VERY LOW QUALITY.....so no text is visible..nothing can be read on screen ...maybe 144p...please help as i thought the videos were downloadable...can i get a refund and buy the 160 dollar version please Also ...can you recommend me any of your VIDEO program where you show step by step breakdown of the all 7 basic PRIMAL PATTERN MOVEMENTS with breathing(maybe gym instructor series??)
***** Dear Paul Chek I wanted to ask you about shoes, as you have stated often shoes with rubber soles are bad because a) they insulate you from the earth which is unnatural obviously, b) they do not allow your foot to move in all directions and feel the ground. Now FiveFingers would solve Problem b) but not Problem a). Would it thus be a good idea to wear Kung-Fu or thai-chi/Yoga shoes, the ones that are slippers out of cotten and either have thin lether or cotten soles, which gives you a barefootish Feeling. Would this be a good Investment? (and solve Problem a and b?)
I have a problem that I'm super motivated to work out but suffer from shoulder tendonosis and don't know how to channel my energy, and it's getting me depressed.
I work as a carpenter (8-10 hours a day) which is physically demanding and go to the gym, is this considered too much movement? Also unfortunately the audio didn't work on this video for me :(
How physical do you find it? I am an apprentice at the moment so I am probably more tired than a fully qualified carpenter because I am doing all the physical jobs. I would just like to know if I am going to scew myself up if I keep doing this haha
Yeah true, do you suffer from any injuries, as I always get told I am going to get a bad back etc. Also I am looking into joinery which may be a better option as it as quite a lot less physical.
Yep that is true, I am VERY health concious so I think I should be okay with that actually. But yeah I do love carpentry and I agree about the joinery thing, there's less money in it as well. And I'm not bothered about being outdoors, probably prefer being outside if anything. Even though I have to put up with shitty UK whether haha! Anyway thanks a lot for the advise :)
