I think if someone is looking for someone to do the crazy almost impossible they need to call on Ray and Russell. On another note, the engine should no surge like that. It is a minor adjustment you can easily make yourself. That would make the machine run much smoother. Thank you for a very long video, I really needed this tonight. God please bless these two in all the want to do.
Your mis adventures with Ray are always interesting. The yellow machine looks like a toy. It is so small. But, I guess you have thought it out and it will be able to do what you bought it for. Ray is such a good friend. Thank god ya'll didn't sink it on the way in. I noticed that the dogs got bored with it all and went on home. Can not wait to see what all you get up to with the thing. Maybe you can return some of those straps that you did not use. So glad to see the Mrs. again. Stay warm.
I have to say this Russell. I think Ray must be a saint to put up with your layed back attitude all the time and still think of you as a friend makes me laugh. For him to have to tell you to start taking out the branches when you could see that they had to go would have been to much for me to take and then you had to walk back to get your saw. 😩😩 Thank you Ray for all your expertise and patience because Russel would have been digging drains beside the outside road if he had not had you to deliver his new toy to the cabin. I can see this digger ending us down the hill into the lake in a short amount of time. 😂🤣😂🤣
Your words are my thoughts as well. Ray is amazingly patient with Russell. Such a successful guy as well, so much ambition and so switched on with his knowledge and ability. I would love a friend like Ray. They are a rare find in life.
As Ray said.... Trail Maintenance Is Required. Good luck with your new machine. It will take a while but you have the time and the determination to make that access much better.
Thank you for the great video. Very much needed some RR after a solid week of Thanksgiving guests! It was a blast, but when they all left, just wanted me some off grid cabin video. Man! Ray really broke in that little mule but good! Obviously a heavy equipment operator in his resume. Don’t you fret Russell, you’ll be handling that beast in no time. Just need a little practice. Loved the Ice skipping olympics!
Amazed at the precision needed to keep that piece of machinery upright on bumpy terrain...well done Ray! Great seeing City Girl again even for seconds. Cheers friends and have a great week x
What an awesome piece of equipment, it will definitely come in hand for tough jobs out on the property! How awesome Ray was able to help you get the mini-ex through the really rough spots until you get the hang of operating it! Keep warm up there you two!! 🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻
That was quite an adventure! Great job Ray and Russell! That little machine sure is tipsy, but it should be great for all the trail maintenance you need to do.
Love your game of ice puck sliding. The sound was so cool. And with a hand toss it traveled so far. Its those moments that you realize "Where has the day gone" "i didn't get anything done". Who cares, your having a good time.
Happy Birthday City Girl! Great video Russell. Quite the adventure. Ray sure is one talented guy and a really good friend. Can’t wait to see the new toy put to work around the cabin.
OMG!! What a great adventure to watch you guys together. When Ray was first taking off with the X down the trail, I was thinking as a funny, hurry up Russell you got to catch up to him LOL and then @59:26 I couldn't help but bust a gut. 😂😂😂 ❤
You will get so much done with that wee beastie, great purchase. help with trails, processing wood, landscaping, drilling, oh and someone must make a hydraulic thumb for you. check the carburetor, that engine should not surge like that.... water in the gas maybe ? gonna be fun to watch you working with that !
Most interesting and kudos to Ray for his expertise, but you I am sure have noticed how easily this machine will tip so take your time to learn the skills of balance using your hydraulics as you could be harmed or worse if tipped., it will after time become a handy machine but please do take the time to be comfortable when operating on uneven ground. The other area to watch is the rubber tracks as if you get a piece of tree limb stuck you could either damage the track or have it come off and that is a harder job to put it back on if in fact it was not damaged
Real nice view of the cabin from the other side of the pond & so peaceful , Ray was such a big help getting the machine in You will be able to fix up the trail make a bridge Etc. in due time, Happy for ya Russell. cant wait to see what you do loved the shot of you and Ray too funny. A very Happy Birthday City Girl all the best to you 🥩🎂🍻, Ontario, Canada.
Hi Russell and Alicia! Congratulations again on your mini excavator. What a journey coming in on the trail. Kudos to Ray. Now Russell, you be careful bringing it the rest of the way into the cabin. Be safe, take care and we'll see you on the next video.😊
How you doing Russell? Sorry you didn't get a deer for your winter food supply. By the way I love your place, its beautiful. Have you ever thought about stocking your pond? In a couple years you could have some nice size fish. Plus some fun fishing?
What a great video. There were many places i thought it couldn't be done and Ray made it look easy what an awesome guy.Once you get familiar with the machine there is so much you will be able to accomplish with it.Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
That machine will be a godsend, given time you will be able to make your trail suitable for a Cadillac if you want to. It will save your back a ton when you cut firewood, you can pick up a log and cut it at waist height, great purchase.
Such a COOL little machine. I can see this machine doing a heck of alot of jobs for you. Hopefully in the end, it will save you money. Fun video as well, thanks.
Alicia! Happy birthday!! Good to see you. Hope to see a Coffee and Chat soon. 💜💜💜 The Woodland Journey of Red and Bill (oops, Ray and Russell) was quite suspenseful. That was some fancy maneuvering in the little digger. Ray has operated a piece of equipment or two, eh? Hand, salute! The Ice Curling was fun. I think they slid so well because of the surface being so ideally slick with relatively fewer bumps and no snow, etc, to impede them. I love the sound it makes, so unique, and it carries so well. Oooh, maybe you could have the drone up and follow the pieces? That would certainly wile away the time, when you could be digging now, haha! As far as I know, wild turkeys can fly quite well to roost and for short distances. It is the farm raised turkeys that have trouble the bigger they grow due to the size of their breasts. I have seen them half flapping up to their roost, but that is about it. They prefer to jump if possible, but not from a helicopter. 🤣🤣 Pea Soup!
I spent years driving and working with these machines. This size and full size versions. Used to be a mechanic for these also. Fun to operate. They are a beast for sure.
Ray saved your bacon. Hes a great operator. Think of what you can do with it. Clear a spot to make your storage building! That way you can store it and your other things inside.
Now you have a new toy to intertain yourself when you get bord this winter. Lots of fun to watch you and Ray adjust your trail. Should be easer now driving you ATV. back and forth. MC.
Every generation has a Hannibal I guess. They probably haven’t taught this in high school for decades, but: In 218 BC, 28-year old Hannibal, his soldiers, and his 37 African battle elephants marched from southern Spain to the plains of northern Italy - but took an unexpected route. Instead of following the coastline or going by sea, he crossed the Alps, to the surprise of the Roman Empire army.
Russel, I know you will get the hang of it, until then be safe, love seeing city Girl, thanks for the excitement of it all Ray, you’re good at figuring the impossible out😂❤.
Keep your bucket low and close to the ground keep it close to you as possible the bucket will balance machine and it can keep you from rolling over forward or backwards The blade in front of you and down on ground when digging it hampered clearance but will do a lot of work nice work Russ
HBD City girl haha props to Ray on the machine patience is important with the little machines you will get it practice and think ahead and you well master that machine
Ether!!! But pardon my ignorance. What exactly did the ether do? 🤔 Aside from start the engine. Russell: "I wonder if there is a slow setting..." 😂 Aww. That is the cutest little machine. You guys are having way too much fun with the little engine that can. Congratulations Russell on your latest acquisition. Question: How long did it take to go all the way to the cabin? Happy birthday CG! 🎂
Greetings from Northeast Ohio. I always go through and look through the comments before I watch the video. In this particular video, I couldn’t wait to get to the part where they were taking the excavator on the trail. My anticipation of this event did not disappoint. The only two people on the planet that could’ve done this job is Ray and Russell. These two personalities together are just the best. These two men are as different as night and day, but together, they are a team. This was most entertaining, Imagine Ray’s life without Russell in it. I think it would be boring.
Love this video Ray is a bad ass he sure knows what his doing and soon you will be too!!so glad to see city girl ❤️until your next adventure stay safe stay strong and god bless🙏✌🏼
Happy Belated Birthday CityGirl🎉 & Many More. Russell.. Thank God 4 Rat.. He's The Man ❤.. N time u will b work that Bumblebee even better.. Great Video.. (wukw) give the puppies a treat 4 me. 👍
If u had one of them tanks or another tank u could put it up stairs and & pump it up to them my buddy down from me has some barrels then have gravity feed water down stairs ???? And congrats on ur new toy as you say any way u can do a lot just take ur time at it good luck & god bless
You're better than streaming a movie. :) But I worry about all of you when weather gets dangerous or bears are lurking around. However the fact you uploaded the video means you all survived. lol But already looking too cold for me. So beautiful though.
Dude, as soon as you mentioned the WKRP episode, I started laughing. Poor Les Nessman… hahaha! One of the best news reports ever? And of course the famous line… As God as my witness. I thought turkeys could fly😂😂
I was looking at off grid living just to watch. How everybody does things and I came across yours? And i've been watch new ever since , and i'm going back and watching the other ones too.

Awesome video!! What a great birthday gift for City Girl (maybe not). That machine is going to be alot of fun. Happy birthday City Girl!!!
It's fascinating how fascinated one get's from watching two guys driving a mini ex, it is strange !
That was quite an adventure! Great job Ray and Russell! That little machine sure is tipsy, but it should be great for all the trail maintenance you need to do.

You never fail to give me a good laugh Russell. Enjoyed the video and Ray’s skills are top tier.
Great video Ray...hope the machine turns out to be a real asset for you...really blessed to have a great friend like Ray!
Happy Birthday City Girl! Great video Russell. Quite the adventure. Ray sure is one talented guy and a really good friend. Can’t wait to see the new toy put to work around the cabin.
That was so much darn fun to watch. Good job Lads. Thanks for sharing.
Love your hair in the opening scene!! You’re so authentic and as always, I love your videos Russell!
Greetings! Very nice ice chucking my friend. A hockey puck will hit land on the other side. Perfect pond for skating and hockey.
OMG!! What a great adventure to watch you guys together. When Ray was first taking off with the X down the trail, I was thinking as a funny, hurry up Russell you got to catch up to him LOL and then @59:26 I couldn't help but bust a gut. 😂😂😂 ❤
Ray is such a good friend!
Ray, the kindness, most patient person I’ve ever seen. have you ever tried pricing a small dozer with an experienced operator to fix your trail?
That would be too easy
You will get so much done with that wee beastie, great purchase.

The new record in pitching the ice brightened up a dismal day. Nice video Russell, thanks.
Russell PLEASE be careful. This looks very unstable.
Very nice to see you and City Girl.❤
Wow!! Thank goodness you and Ray were together, that was an incredible journey!! Great video Russell!!

Ray is just so calm ! You r lucky to have his expertise! Try not to kill yourself, on that thing, Russell!

Boy Ray is really good at maneuvering that little beast!
Wow that sliding of ice sounds cool. I've never heard that.
Now, that is what you call a shakedown cruise!
Such a COOL little machine. I can see this machine doing a heck of alot of jobs for you. Hopefully in the end, it will save you money. Fun video as well, thanks.
He will get bored of it like the wood cutter
@@AnjiRoberts-c3g So what troll? Whats it to you anyways? He can do whatever the hell he wants, right?
What awesome friends you have. Love the adventure of the mini-x. Peace Out.
That sounds so neat going along the ice, making its own melody🎼🎵🎶

That forest journey will turn out to become a monster hit.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Russell. Thanks for sharing and thanks to Ray!!
Beavers trembling at RR.... the idea of Russell 'modifying' a dam now is literally earth shaking.
AND A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALICIA!
Russell, we love your long videos, as for your new toy, endless stuff you can do with it, build bridges , use it for pounding posts in 👍
Ray saved your bacon. Hes a great operator. Think of what you can do with it. Clear a spot to make your storage building! That way you can store it and your other things inside.

So awesome, I admire you and Ray's patience.
And the race is on, digging the well before the ground freezes.

Keep practicing and soon you will be able to run the boom . Dig out the side of the trail where the water is and drain it off .
Holy crap! That was exciting! Congrats with your new 'toy'!
The mini Rx looks like a toy Ex. But it is a strong one. I hope this improves the path. Interesting video. 💞🎄
I think you have definitely torture tested the machine. Great video Russell.
Now that was some sketchy shit right there! Good job Ray. Happy Birthday City Girl
Russell CanAm has their ATV seat covers on sale. Great video, worth the wait.
Hmm maybe I'll take a look. The BRP site?
@@RaspberryRockOffGridCabinyes the BRP Black Friday sales ATV accessories.
Painstaking work. Mesmerizing to watch though. Best of luck with it Russell.
If you ever sell it make sure they have to pick up at

Nothing like Canadadian shield to try out a mini excavator..
You need to stock up your wood pile soon, I pre-empt you will start when the snow comes.
Kinda like Hadrian taking the elepants thru the alps for an invasion
Happy birthday city girl. This is Edward from San Jose,Ca.first comment. I enjoy watching your channel . Thank you.
