Last story: Massive props to OP. That took a lot of self control, and he turned it into an opportunity for his kid to learn something. We need more nice people in the world.
I hope that he buys some good work gloves for his son so that if the son wishes to help the neighbor next time, and the work is labor intensive, he can do help and his hands will be protected (because he's six years old after all, will try to carry too-heavy things, could get scratched, etc.). I think kids generally do like to help, if only to show off, but there are plenty of opportunities for kids to learn things, too.
Yes
Yes it was a great job of parenting by example.
The right reaction at the end. It gives me hope that I’m not the only one trying to raise kids with morals in this “fun” world we all live in today.
Kids watch adults, particularly their parents, so you have a big responsibility being inspirational 😊
The last one made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...something that hasn't happened in a long time and definetely not often enough!!!
We certainly need more stories, and people, like that. Especially in this very trying times.
Yes... if more people showed compassion and empathy the world would be a little bit kinder... like in the 50s....
@@toothlessgrin04 I totally agree!!!
It is sad when an act of kindness is scrutinized by alterior motives. "You must work here else why help me?", "You're only holding the door open because I am a woman!", "Your goofing off at work because your lazy and need to shape up."
That last one was quite a sore note on my side as, yes, I was a goof ball in an otherwise work-intensive job, but I had been judged by one of the only 3 women in the shop who had power over me as they assumed my intentions. When I explained that I was goofing off to make a better work place, and showed that, by keeping the work environment jovial while maintaining work, I was sacrificing a touch of my productivity in exchange of keeping moral up for the group (throwing figures like putting out 90% effort for 12 hours in exchange for increasing 3 other day employees moral to increase their effort from 45% at the end of a shift to 60-70%), she stormed off, leaving me to wonder (still today) if she thought my logic was sound, or that I was a waste of space.
I find it disheartening when people can see the worst another person's efforts to help.
Lesson for the world: A little kindness goes a long way and costs very little, if anything at all.
So very, very true.
Very true
Sometimes the cost is great... When your kindness is met with scrutiny...
Holding a door for people? You're prejudice.
Not babying someone with a disability? You're pathetic and cruel and not working with them so they can do their best.
Notice the milk was hard to pull out of the rack, so offer your spoils to a lady behind you? "He must have tainted the milk in some way"
The cost of kindness comes when people have lost the faith to believe it still exists, and is taxed to the one helping.
I only wish more people would be as tolerant about their neighbors. He sounds like a very good person just trying to get along in this “wonderful” world of ours. Thank you for taking the time to think and remember about his deafness. And to also sit down with your son to help him understand too. You’re a good person and I’d like to have you as a neighbor. Be good and safe out there my friend.
We once had issues with our neighbours. They leave their dog off leash (against the law) who used to run into our flower bed to bother our dog, and think that "I put a kitty litter outside" equates to their can never taking a dump in said flower beds.
Over 2 years, we pulled out about 10 pounds of crap and replaced about $200 of flowers, but when I approached them to ask if they could stop, they became offended and started yelling at me. Even threatened to call the cops as my dog was barking at kids crossing out lawn (rescue who thinks barking is how you ask for pets). In another incident (asking which kids had pulled out our city markers as we were going to dig a fence), another neighbour pulled a Karen, threatening us about reving my motorcycle engine at 9pm when her kids were trying to sleep. Odd thing is that I don't have a motorcycle.
Sometimes it's hard to know how to be a tolerant and kind neighbour.
The last story has me teary-eyed. We need more positive interactions with people - especially now with so much confusion and anger going on. Thank you for a wonderful story. God Bless!
That line about the manager and what he’s probably doing to his wife. Is truly British.
@@tspawn35 and she probably is friends with the manager and his wife (as it was mentioned the lady was the manager's boss)
The one with the deaf guy made me emotional lol
Me too Thank you, Red Wheel with the Kitty in your icon.🐺💖
No, really, it's just dirt in my eye.
im crying ! like that was some powerful stuff
Me too.
He sure showed empathy to that man. Not many would sadly.
That last story...... renews my faith in human nature. It could've so easily been confrontational. Really glad OP took the kindness route 😊👍
I really like that last story. I am so glad Op calm down and assisted his neighbor instead of getting upset. I love the way he explained to his son about helping others and being kind.
Last story shows true neighbourlyness , humanity and compassion
That ending has to be in the upper range of stories about 180° turns toward wholesome.
What a great way to start the day! It restores my faith in humanity just a little when people act with kindness and compassion, instead of anger and selfishness. I totally understand OP's initial reaction. Having someone be loud when it's late, and you're tired, and you just got your cranky kid to sleep can be extremely frustrating. I can't honestly say that I wouldn't have reacted the same way out of the gate, because I can be a bit of a B**** when I'm tired and cranky. The realization of "Oh dear lord, I'm being an total ahole right now! 🤦♀️", and the subsequent "Here, let me make this up to you, even though you didn't know I was reacting like an ahole" is something I've done and can totally relate to. Passing on compassion, kindness, patience, and understanding to one's children is, in my opinion, one of the most important lessons we need to teach our children as early as possible. Kudos to OP for being a good person and a great parent and role model for their son! Just because you stumble out of the gate a little bit at first doesn't mean you can't get back on track before the finish line. Keep fighting the good fight against the uglier side of human nature. 👍💜
Normally your stories, while entertaining, reminds how awful people are to others. The last story did give me another reminder that some people actually have empathy and try to pass it on...
The guy helping the deft guy then teaching his son. That is a real man! That is a true dad. Good job.
Aww, that last story is amazing! Made me tear up! Thanks for sharing, and for brightening this and every morning with stories that are sometimes funny, sometimes maddening, but always human. 😊
The guy who set such an amazing example for his son ! We need more real men like you in this world.
It's nice of OP in the last story to help the little old deaf man. He taught his son a lesson abt kindness but he also gave the lonely little old man something other than kindness: empathy n companionship. I dun think its something he would have gotten quite often.
That last story says it all! PAY IT FORWARD WITH ALL YOUR HEART!
The last story hit me. I am partly deaf. I can't hear you if you are behind me or a few feet away from me. Where the father shows compation instead of anger is great. He put himself in Johnnys shoes. He wasn't being loud on purpose he couldn't hear it.
That last story was wonderful. You’re a great dad.
That last story was awesome, what a great way to teach your boy about kindness and looking out for your neighbors
Last one was so wholesome it got right between the feels!
That last one was fantastic! Gives me hope
Surely, I too learnt from last story... Almighty puts us in such situations and gives us opportunity to prove what kind of person we have grown???
That last one was so wholesome.
OMG that last one... As soon as he said he was profoundly drleaf I immediately tensed! I was like stop, don't yell at him, he doesn't know how loud he is!! 🥺♥️ That's a good Dad. He knew he had to be an example.
The one with the deaf guy is an example of an awesome parent.
Last story was the best one! You always need to step back, take a close look. Smiles always work.the power of NICE!
You know you work for a good company, when people you don't realize you work with have your back. Even against crazy random Karens.
"Makes me feel less guilty for not mowing my lawn" I could not have said it better.
when someone interrupts or irritates me, 'sorry' is the last word i would ever use.
I'm guessing that you're not Canadian.
We (as a Society, there are exceptions, we have our Karens too unfortunately) tend to Apologize for things that we're not even involved in and are most definitely not our fault...
@@HappilyHomicidalHooligan lol was about to say the same thing.
Someone bumped into me at Vegas and I said "Oh, Sorry" out of reflex (in a tone of appology) and he got super offended as if I used racist slurs... Not because we collided, but because I said sorry like some kind of "retard". Then when my friend said "He's Canadian", the guy calmed down and left....
Still dunno if that was a rude way for the American to say Canadians are regards, but as I pondered the question, I got reamed out from the restauraunt cahier for apologising when I took a moment to pick my order...
Never knew how much we said "Sorry" until I had to justify it with "I am Canadian" attempting to de-escalate the situation 15 times a day for the whole weekend.
Last story had me tearing up a bit. Lesson learned. More people need to read that one.
That last story was a wonderful example of parenting by example. Kudos to OP.
Thank you for the last story, sometimes we all forget to take a moment to be kind. We forget that everyone needs kindness at some point. ❤
That final story was beautiful. It's good to see a little kindness.
As for the last story the boy learned about kindness we all need to share. The others were all too. Stay safe everyone 😷. 😎✨⭐️🌟👍👌
I love the story about Johnny!
Oh my word, I teared up at the story about Johnny!!!
I like wholesome stories like the last one. 🤗
While it's nice to feel important it is more important to be nice. For me, I try to remind myself that I want to be remembered for being nice because I have to live with the memories of the times that I wasn't nice.
The choice and example OP showed in the last story might be one of the most profound influences in his son's life.
God bless the man in the last story, Helping Johnny with his load, And teaching his son a good moral lesson.
Last story made my day. Very heart warming
"I'm sure we'll be alright with some chocolate."
Best line ever.
XD
The world needs more thoughtful people.
I do love these stories very much. I think the last one here was the best I have heard yet by far. Respect to that man and his wisdom.
I've heard the last story before. It was nice hearing it again. It's a good one.
Red Wheel, thank you for the stories. You read very well, your voice is friendly. However, it's time to say goodbye.
The content is beginning to weigh on me. Real life has enough stress without adding stress in the entertainment that is supposed to relieve it.
I prefer teachable moments like the last story, but this subreddit has so few of them.
All the best to you, and thanks again.
The laat story is heartwarming :)
The last story tells us there is hope for mankind, sometimes we have to stop and take in a deep breath, before reacting.
That last story was wonderful. More uplifting stories at the end please!
Being handicapped is a different world. It seems misplaced anger is not always the solution . As handicapped myself due to many reasons I feel the reaction and realization show growth and wish more can be that way and being an example to a child is priceless
Why can’t anyone ever seem to spell “aisle” correctly?
There they're their, it's no big deal
@@badandy102 2 different words. Lol
Correct is correct, wrong is wrong.
It does matter.
the dictinory was made for deffenitions not to freeze the word, english is adaptive and if you get meaning across well WGAF?
@@badandy102 hair hear, heir ear, her
It is always a plus when a story on here does not crush faith you have in humanity. If everyone dealt with issues like OP did with his deaf neighbor this world would be a better place.
OMG! Kudos to the small lady in her early 40s for giving that... person a taste of her own medicine... And OMG! She turned out to be an actually colleague, pardon: Manager's superior! SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!
The guy in the 2nd story should have called the cops and charge her for assault.
If someone came up behind me and slapped my head would find themselves charged with assault.
@@jacklow9611 and a large charge from local hospital
I agree. Been in that situation and the person hit me hard enough I banged my head into the glass door of the freezer section. Actually was dazed from that and regret not being aware enough to press charges.
@@Maninawig I'm sure you could have pressed charges after you recovered.
@@Kelle0284 awareness is king
Gotta say, I've been watching/listening to a lot of these videos and I've always enjoyed the "happy ending" ones. The last story has tears in my eye. I have family that works with the deaf community and am the father of an brilliant, loving autistic son. The OP having that change of heart moment and helping when he could have lashed out really touched me, thanks for sharing it!
The third guy: Respect
That first one was hysterical... omg. I love old people.
That last one made me tear up
4 new stories, holy cow that’s amazing! What a great way to start my Saturday, thank you RedWheel 🧚🏼♂️💕🥰❤️
The one about the deaf guy
and the Father teaching his son about how to be a DECENT HUMAN BEING RESTORED SOME OF THE LITTLE FAITH I HAD LEFT IN HUMANITY . REDWHEEL MY FRIEND...WHILE YOU ALWAYS DELIVER ON THE AWESOME BY SHINING THE LIGHT ON ENTITLED @$$Holes And Proving That KARMA IS INDEED A CRUEL MISTRESS, YOU ALSO GIVE HOPE TO WE, THE PESSIMISTS OF THIS WORLD, BY SHOWING US THAT THE HUMAN REFUSE OF THIS WORLD ARE INDEED NOT THE MAJORITY...AND THAT ONE GOOD PERSON/DEED, FAR OUTWEIGHS THE BAD. THANK YOU SO MUCH! AND KEEP THEM COMING!
the end story. you were probably being watched and your neighbors probably became better people as well. nice.
I've enjoyed almost all of your posts, but never replayed any until this one about the deaf junkman with the neighbor that's bringing his son up right !
I can certainly relate to the "neighbours yard looks worse than mine, so I don't have to feel so guilty". :)
Problem is, new rentals moved in a couple of months ago, and they have did more to the garden in the first two weeks than the previous 2-3 rentals did in all the time they lived there. XD
The one with the deaf man was heat warming
last story shows the power of "shame" like him i have done many things in the past that now not proud off but learnt one major rule..............it cost nowt to be polite and a helping hand has many rewards
The story of Johnny just brought back a very fond memory of my Brother Marine Charles (hoping all is well for you brother wherever you are). We bowled together in a base league with his wife and another couple. He was of diminutive stature physically, but I have rarely met a more assertive confident man in my life.
The last story is the best story.
I come from a family that tries to care for community like our elders, help people who are having trouble at the store and generally try to be respectful even though most stereotypical Karen family’s are rich or middle class. While yes we had money, kindness was worth more than a dollar.
About 4 months or so ago this man was outside this convenience store with two large dogs and trying to tie their leashes to the door to keep them from going in so he can get something.
I had just left and was about to get in the car with my dad but I went over and I smiled and I asked him if he was having trouble and he laughed and said they like to follow him everywhere and I nodded and I told the man I’d watch his dogs for him to which he smiled and said he would appreciate it.
After 5 or so minutes he walks out with a bag and he smiles to me grateful and thanks me before he pulls out his wallet to pay me 5 dollars which I decline and he gestures it to me insisting so I nodded and took the money and told the man to have a wonderful afternoon which he returned.
Telling Karens to leave the store is not enough, they should just ban them outright. Other customers will be grateful and perhaps would attract more because they know they can shop there safely.
The last story was awesome!
The last story of the dead guy was great
🤣 where's your manager! Probably at home f-ing his wife! OMG! I'm on floor rolling laughing! I'll remember that one, can't wait to use that comeback!
So far the 1st story has to be my favorite so far funny as well
world needs more parents like the one in the last story
I love the last story 💚
We definitely need more stories like the last one during times like these. Wonderful reading as always. Thank you
Good for you dad in final story!
But that last one, at least he could have pointed out (after helping) that the deaf man couldn't hear the ruckus he was causing at 9pm.
It would at least perhaps lead to an understanding by the deaf man that he shouldn't be doing that "work" at 9pm in the evening.
Give it up for the Great RedWheel:)
Last one is something society has lost long time ago! Let's be nice to each other and the world will be a lot more beautiful! Peace, respect and kindness, where are they now?
Nice to see someone think things through. Thanks, Red.
Last one is so true.
Be kind. StaySafe.
Last story is quite good; makes you think. Reminds us all to be more understanding. Three cheers and one cheer more for the neighbor who thought and cared.
Thank you for the story at the end. After having read/listened to so many of these horror stories it is nice to see one that shows the compassion of the human heart and not the disgusting behavior of the sub-human species.
It was nice to end the video with a smile on my face and a little faith restored.
After viewing several of these videos, it occurred to me that the only reason to watch them is to become riled up by the stupidity of the Karens who star in the stories. It also occurred to me that I already have enough stress in my life. So thanks for the memories, but this is the last time I will be spending time here.
So excellently put. I wish you the best on your journey to wellness. I think I'll follow your example. The last story was a positive lesson, so I'll end (unsubscribe) on a high note.
I third that notion. I saw a comment from somebody who said Cinema sins was making him cynical so he unsubbed and it got me thinking along the same lines with these vids and how they awaken my worst qualities. Seeing someone else reaching a similar conclusion has confirmed it for me. Hope you don't get the blame for a mass viewer exodus. x
The last one tho aw.
Well that's the 1st time I've cried at the end of one of these
That last story is the best story I've heard on this channel. Hope to hear more like it
you have me at free chocolate! :) And that father did an amazing thing. :)
How dare you inject humanity into this? I WANT BLOOD!!!! Down with Karens.
But really the last one is a wonderful example of compassion for our neighbors. Good food for thought.
Positive posts just make my day. Truly touching
I really enjoy your channel. It seems like the stories are always over too soon. But it's your delivery - the way you tell a story - that really make you stand out from other, similar channels. 💖😊👏🏆💖
Go Muscle dude!!!
That last one is my favorite story so far.
All good stories. Wish there were more like the third out there somewhere
I really love that last one 👌🏻👍🏻
I have a suggestion for any fiction writers out there: Write up a back story of the special school to which all of these "karens" attend to learn to think and act so entitled. Create names for courses, like "Narcissism 101" & "Entitlement basics".
