I also like how it would use aspects from hunt the truth. Instead of completely letting it go to waste like 343 did. Side note: I would make the planet the revolt is taking place on, a vitally important one to the UNSC's military industrial complex. (Maybe it has an abundance of a rare mineral or element that the unsc uses in their technology.)Also I would have the orders given by Serin Osman herself, to signify how important this mission is. Also, that could be tied to Jul Mdama, by them recovering information that he was supplying the insurrectionists with weapons and supplies, (anonymously of course.) and that would piss of the UNSC and ONI to no end. (Even that that would make them hypocrites, since they supplied the covenant remnant's rebellion on Sangheilios to keep the Sangheili from being a threat.) Sorry this isn't relevant to the video, but at least it's halo related!
I couldnt agree with you more, just one thing that i disagree, you said arbiter was barely used, for me he wasnt used at all, if it was another Elite there, it wouldnt make any difference, my two problems with Halo 5 is, why those elites are so potato? Fuck sake, they are terrible, and why fireteam osiris exist? Nobody interact with each other, they dont have any relation, and tanaka, she pissed me off so much, but thats personal, actually, put 3 on the list, i hate with all my life that fight with chief and locke, if i have 2 wishes, i would erase Metal Gear Solid V of my life, and that fighting scene
Jean Magno Fireteam Osiris is going to show the difference being the two generations of Spartans. Also Spartan 2 know they going to die will be in combat or old age so a new generation of Spartan will be needed.
I can't imagine how terrifying it'd be: You're a soldier or citizen on the Ark, the Flood attacks, but its the Star Road using its tendrils to RIP IT APART like a Kraken made of energy.
Imagine how much more interesting real aliens would be. Halo is the work of people's imagination. But a real interstellar civilization? That would be beyond our imagination. Things we could never even dream of.
Humanity was dealing with other problems, mainly the remnants of the covenant and then the didact, then Cortana. They did not have the resources or time. Humanity on Earth was reduced to 120 million that's not a lot. And almost every colony was turned to glass. There's not much they could've done tbh
I was thinking, what if at the end of Halo Wars 2 the Infinity exited slipspace above the Ark to find the Spirit of Fire there. I think that would be kinda neat.
I love how it’s outside the galaxy in one of our smaller, satellite galaxy, because a lot of people know know/understand those and they are so interesting
Really you put a great effort on narrating and telling the story and it was crisp and clear thank you Halo Canon I am eager to view more episodes from you
The Forerunners who survived enacted a great journey as shame for their crime of using the halos, they left our galaxy never to interfere again 6:20. THE FORERUNNER most likely went to our closest Galactic Neighbor The Andromeda Galaxy. And Remember, the Flood came from outside the Milky Way IN THE FIRST PLACE, therefore The Halos will continue to have a reason to exist if a little bit of flood makes its way into the Milky Way again like it did before. Perhaps the Flood ALSO came from our galactic neighbor Andromeda meaning the Halo Universe still has plenty plenty of material for 30 games or so to come. The Flood lost the battle for the Milky Way, but not the War for conquering the Universe. Perhaps the Flood already own Andromeda but that’s speculation. All we know is Forerunner left The Milky Way as shame for using the Halos in the first place aka the actual real Great Journey that later the Covenant misunderstands. Lol. Therefore as a fact Forerunner are not extinct. They just have a new empire in another galaxy aka I think Andromeda. But that bit is speculation m.
Catalyst - D B The flood came from the precursors. You are not wrong, since they came from another universe. The problem is they allowed themselves to be destroyed, by the Forerunner, and created some sort of fail safe protocol. Basically when they die, they can revive again from their body's original "essence", it mutated... then the flood happened.
Hi Thank you for checking my work. But at the same time, what you said about the Flood coming from a different universe isn’t true. The flood just like every other species or faction in Halo is native to our universe. There is no other universe in Halo Lore yet. Everything is in ours so far. Including the Flood. I agree that yes the Precursors allowed themselves to be beaten by the Forerunners that’s true cause the Lore contains it. The Lore defines the flood as the agent of revenge on behalf of the Precursors. A fail safe protocol is one way of describing it but the simplest way is that the Flood is a bioweapon of revenge on behalf of the Precursors. Precursors are 4 Dimensional. 3 of those dimensions we see. The 4th is the part that we perceive as that aura and distortion witnessed by ancient humanities scientists when observing the Primordial. When killing a 3 Dimensional being, you’ve effectively killed it. But it’s not the same for a 4 Dimensional being. If you kill the 3 dimensions that you can observe aka the Avatar of that particular Precursor, it’s not actually dead yet. Cause 1 dimension remains. So the physics of mortality is different for Precursors than it is for us normal 3 Dimensional creatures. I agree the uncorrupted dust’s primary objective is to self reincarnate the Precursor’s Avatar it belonged to. That’s true. The Lore says it. The Lore also says the corruption/weaponization of that dust aka the mutation was caused by a Precursor who wanted revenge for the treachery of the Forerunners. That’s a fact in the Lore. The weaponized dust activates when it comes into contact with living Biomass. That’s also a fact within the Lore. Another Lore Fact: Inventions of The Precursors are created and bound by the concepts of Neural physics. Neural physics enables a Precursor invention to become sentient and have its own consciousness and think for itself. This explains why, when the Weaponized/mutated Precursor Avatar Self reincarnation dust comes into contact with living Biomass it activates and the weapon that results, aka The Flood, is sentient and able to think and reason for itself aka have a consciousness aka have the ability to even make a proto-Gravemind in the first place. Neural physics. Conclusion: There are two vectors from which the flood can return into the Halo world. 1. If the Halos are fired again aka the UNSC loses, Flood can return again from another galaxy outside of the Milky Way Galaxy OR 2. The Flood can breach containment from a random Forerunner containment facility within Milky Way borders across Forerunner controlled Milky Way Space. My opinion: if #1 is used in future games, Our closest Galactic Neighbor is Andromeda Galaxy thus why I mentioned it previously. To prevent #2 from happening, The Janus keys are the easiest way to make UNSC outposts on every Forerunner location across Forerunner Milky Way Space. Aka The Franchise will have many many new Forerunner places to visit in future games like Forerunner capital and Forerunner dyeing spheres and Shield worlds and Forerunner homeworlds and the other Forerunner installations/Rings left in the Milky Way aka Halo Franchise has enough material from pre-existing Lore to last for another 20 years.
Actually now that I think about it, how DID Atriox get to the Ark. Isn't the portal at Earth the only way there ? Or does it just take a really longtime in slipspace to get there ? For that he must have left before the created crysis no ?
You can get to the Ark via standard slipspace drives, it just takes a really long time (months at least. 9 months for UNSC Rubicon). Of course, there are other portals on other planets. It's possible Atriox used one of those.
The ark and the covenant are my favorite levels from Halo 3. I just love the feeling in the ark of looking up and seeing the entire milky way galaxy, and the huge rolling desert. It's great. Then the covenant is just a fun, fast paced, level, with the best music and cutscenes in the entire game
I’m looking forward to Infinite’s story. I hope somehow Infinity and Spirit of Fire are included while blue team reunite with red team and the Spartan 4’s and probably some 3’s.
They used the rings as labs to study the flood, this also included examining environments and conditions that could assist with combating the creature and studying humanity since it was believed that their genetic structure had the key to resisting the parasite(In actuality, that was just another ruse set by the Gravemind)
Dang i didn´t know UNSC was still operating there after Halo 3.. (Only know the gamestory) Thanks for the video! Now it will make sense when i play the game :D
I feel as though 032 was infected by the Logic Plague he didnt really notice his actions in full and he wanted to go help the humans but crashed and then the San' Shyuum got him and were like "DIE HUMANS!"
@HaloCanon This dosen't have much to do with the video but more so with Halo Wars 2 and 343 as a whole. Since Escalation, when Black Team was killed off, I began to suspect 343 had a "death list" of sorts. It's almost like they're cleaning house, tightening loose ends left by Bungie, and culminating it in Halo 6. Some feel the upcoming game may be the end of Chief. Others on the list include Ben from Hunt The Truth, Petra, and Pharo. All three were featured in comics and other non-game media. All three are either dead or incapacitated. Michak as well. Now, with the Halo Wars 2 campaign leak hinting to Alice's death, I'm convinced. Two Spartan II's were hit in one mission. Give this some thought, and maybe make a video exploring the possibility. It's been in my mind for months, Alice's campaign scene just made me pull the trigger. Best, Gamertag: VadoseRAZE service tag: Z10, Halo 3, Reach, Halo 4
The Chief won't die in Halo 6. At best, it would be at the end of the Reclaimer Saga, which is still a ways away. FERO and Mshak were created by the people behind Hunt the Truth, specifically for that series. Petra was sort of shoved in a corner, but considering she started out as a bonus story in the 2010 reprint of Fall of Reach (or First Strike, I can't recall), she's had a lot of screentime. I can also assure you that Alice is not dead. Black Team was bullshit, but it was basically an isolated incident.
I really want human-forerunner-war trilogy games, make em not only 1st person but also 3rd person with full appearance customization and bigger maps with all out large scale battles.
ARK known as Installation 00 this is the factory for HALO and is where all 7 of the rings were made. it is from here the Forerunners and their AIs are dispatched to run the rings and if there is a last resort ARK itself is activated to firing the rings remotely. No one wants to see HALO activated because if it is a massive planet destroying subspace shock wave will be released and everything in the universe will be wiped out. ARK is suppose to be used as a last resort only to be used if the FLOOD break containment.
I'm so thick I only just realised that the reason for the portal from Earth to the Arks shutdown was because of Cortana and her Guardian shenanigans. That's why no rescue team was sent. Also because of this I think it is highly likely the UNSC Spirit of Fire will return to the UNSC proper on Halo 6.
I'm still trying to figure out how High Charity had the ability to jump to slip space when the key ship was the power source. Like lights were out and everything after it left.
Nothing interesting happens unfortunately. Very barebones story, they skip over much of the readjusting, and only briefly mention the war and that it's over.
If the Lesser Ark is Installation 00, what's the Greater Ark, installation -1? Does it even have such a designation? At first I wasn't sure why Atriox was on the Ark, but now it makes sense, taking advantage of the chaos of the Created. Not sure why the Ark was his first stop, but that will hopefully be revealed when Halo Wars 2 comes out.
He'd have to have a really good reason. The Ark being outside our galaxy makes it quite a long trek. Several months. Atriox is too smart to waste that time.
None of the original rings, nor the greater Ark, were ever given formal designations (as far as we know). It's possible they were and we just weren't told.
Jameson Locke Agreed, maybe he's figuring a way to fight back against the created somehow and simultaneously increase his own might. Perhaps he's trying to figure out how to manufacture new rings for his own ends. It would go with the whole incorporation of technologies of various races thing he has going on. That would be a massive boost for the Banished and would give them the strength to take on practically anyone. Although that then begs the question of why he never went for it sooner. Perhaps it's the chaos created by the Created (Ok, that sounds weird lol) that he's taking advantage of and making his move. Better time than any when everyone is screaming "Muh technology been done over by E EM PEE!" CoD MW2 style. Cortana already has one (how did she get her hands on it in the first place?), although I doubt the rings would impact the created in any way from what we know so far (since they're synthetic beings.). Guess we'll see soon enough. I just have the strange gut feeling that the Forerunner Capital and Bastion are gonna play a central role here. Particularly now that we're dealing with the domain. Maybe something can be pulled out of Maethrilllian. Wasn't that Elite from Halo: Reach that you shoot before he disappears close to learning the location of Maethrillian? Maybe Reach still has the answers. I wonder how the Assembly ties into all of this too, don't forget them! Dammit 343, you have so much to work with! Don't scrap it like you did with the whole Janus key thing (which could well have told us where Maethrillian is too!). Can't wait to see how all this plays out.
honestly, after Halo 6, I kinda want a Covenant only game, or like, placing as an elite fighting humanity and the Spartans on Reach or something like that. have us be the bad guys for a little while, and explore the Covenant in game a little more.
So I think I have a theory for halo wars 2 I think the reason Cortana does not interfere with the spirit of fire is because of arks halo activating it might have actually destroyed the domain in that area and because of that I think Cortana is blind in that area.
I think that since the infinity is the only thing in the galaxy not shut down it could come 2 the ark in halo 6 and find the spirit of fire and help them
It would be boring, if I didn’t know better the forerunners were (partially) peaceful people. They disarmed themselves, that’s why the flood was so powerful
Sources include: - The Forerunner Saga (Cryptum, Primordium, Silentium) - Promises to Keep (from Halo: Fractures) - Halo CE, 2, and 3 (of course) - Halo: Hunters in the Dark
I'm confused if they activated 04B in halo 3 how come they were able to escape? Is it just that the ring was incomplete so it's firing radius was reduced.
in the video you mentioned that the forerunners took a "great journey" where they basically self banished themselves from the galaxy? so they are still around??
hey halo canon got a mini idea going do you think truth ever open up talks with Atriox to ether keep brutes on his side or to make him a aily so he can live its a idea on how Atriox knew about the arc

I also would have completely gotten rid of fire team Osiris, since they're useless.
Did you read the end?
That's ok :D
I can't imagine how terrifying it'd be:
You're a soldier or citizen on the Ark, the Flood attacks, but its the Star Road using its tendrils to RIP IT APART like a Kraken made of energy.
Imagine how much more interesting real aliens would be. Halo is the work of people's imagination. But a real interstellar civilization? That would be beyond our imagination. Things we could never even dream of.
why wasn't a defense fleet station at the ark? its one of the most important locations in the universe
I think that would be kinda neat.
is it just just me or does the halo 4/5 commander elite look almost like the officer elite from reach
It does.
heh thanks
hey halo canon you should do a primer on one of the banished leaders
If the day ever comes when an open world halo games comes out oh boy. Heh.
When humanity at 9025
We will always remember master chief
I love how it’s outside the galaxy in one of our smaller, satellite galaxy, because a lot of people know know/understand those and they are so interesting
What an in depth story dude great job.
Right off the bat, the biggest void flower I've ever seen.
The Arks can also be fired like the Halo rings.
Now I understand much of the halo history... thank you!
The increase in Halo videos on RUclips is...OVER 9000!!!
I just came across this gem. Wish you were still making content. I hope you’re doing great!💪🏽
Really you put a great effort on narrating and telling the story and it was crisp and clear thank you Halo Canon I am eager to view more episodes from you
I do try :)
NOW it all makes sense! Thanks a mil for making this video.
I aim to please :)
1. If the Halos are fired again aka the UNSC loses, Flood can return again from another galaxy outside of the Milky Way Galaxy OR
I don't know but Halo is so interesting it's like reading a Bible it's like a puzzle it's a huge story and I love it
There are 15 Halo rings in all.
I oiwov e
The ark and the covenant are my favorite levels from Halo 3. I just love the feeling in the ark of looking up and seeing the entire milky way galaxy, and the huge rolling desert. It's great. Then the covenant is just a fun, fast paced, level, with the best music and cutscenes in the entire game
I’m looking forward to Infinite’s story. I hope somehow Infinity and Spirit of Fire are included while blue team reunite with red team and the Spartan 4’s and probably some 3’s.
i had 12:30 as wallpaper, i had no clue its halo related
This is the first time I have watched you channel, and I gotta say that I love your intro
Imagine a Halo game during the forerunners time fighting the flood!??? That would be epic.
Why did they make life on the most destructive weapon
They used the rings as labs to study the flood, this also included examining environments and conditions that could assist with combating the creature and studying humanity since it was believed that their genetic structure had the key to resisting the parasite(In actuality, that was just another ruse set by the Gravemind)
I would love to see the bottom and side of the Arks. Being able to see how they produced the Rings. New sub.
Such a comprehensive video. Love you Halo Canon!!! Keep up the awesomeness!!!
I can imagine the mendicant fragments reaction after crash landing
Fragment: Fuck...
Wonderful video! I was wondering what the chronological order of Halo Wars 2 and Halo 5 was. You earned my subscription!
Dang i didn´t know UNSC was still operating there after Halo 3.. (Only know the gamestory)
Thanks for the video! Now it will make sense when i play the game :D
Thumbs up and Subscribed. Watching this video has regained my interest in the vast story of Halo! Thanks to you and this video! Please make more!
great video. very well done. i LOVVVVE videos like this, and with this format and it being focused on halo???? ooooweee. im in loveee.
I feel as though 032 was infected by the Logic Plague he didnt really notice his actions in full and he wanted to go help the humans but crashed and then the San' Shyuum got him and were like "DIE HUMANS!"
The final solution to the flood question? Wait ... are we the baddies?
I’d rather be the baddies than one with flood
You are amazing! Thank you.
Once they commit to a movie...again, they better hire you as an advisor. You should be working under Frank O. already.
You mentioned that a thousand other plans had been tried and failed.
Awesome Video as always buddy! Keep them coming!
Nicely done good sir.
KEEP THIS UP. PLEASE PUT TOGETHER A COMPLETE LORE VIDEO... IF YOU HAVE AWESOME.
Isiah Holmes Alice is NOT death, just wait ;)
Cheers for the video mate explained a lot
Do a video on how strong the ancient human empire was.
So pumped for this game!
Very well done video. I have good knowledge of Halo but even I learnt a couple of things.
The portal is show down on Earth's end, but no the Ark's. Not entirely, anyway.
Isn’t that high charity in the middle of the ark Bc it looks like the top of it and it seems to be the only place burning in the ark?
No, that's a random moon
Well now we know it is a good thing that the shadow of intent didnt bombard the citadel. Or it would have been destroyed by sentinels
I'm still trying to figure out how High Charity had the ability to jump to slip space when the key ship was the power source. Like lights were out and everything after it left.
Thank you

Thank you, and welcome :)
DUDE IMAGINE THE CREW OF SPIRIT OF FIRE TRYING TO KILL SOME ELITES BUT THEN FINDING OUT THAT THEYRE FRIENDLIES :D I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS
Vendrick They know the war is over.
Nothing interesting happens unfortunately. Very barebones story, they skip over much of the readjusting, and only briefly mention the war and that it's over.
this needs a part 2 after u beat the storymode!
I've heard that a few times now. Seriously considering it
If the Lesser Ark is Installation 00, what's the Greater Ark, installation -1?
The greater ark would be, Instillation 0
honestly, after Halo 6, I kinda want a Covenant only game, or like, placing as an elite fighting humanity and the Spartans on Reach or something like that. have us be the bad guys for a little while, and explore the Covenant in game a little more.
Kris Sigma It would be nice if there were an art for impaling enemies with an energy sword. Sort of like an assassination.
nice video good sir
Thanks :)
Sick video g
I wish that when they remastered Halo 2 that they had just revamped the game rather then changing the apperance so much.
Awesome video keep it up!
Dude I fucking loved this. Thank you 😄
So the creation of the Covent that nearly wiped humanity away was accident by an ai?
That was awesome
God dammit mendicant you had to steal the key ship didn't you
What happen with Offensive Bias?
Sadly, we don't know :(
Probably went with the forerunners when they decided fugit were outta here
So I think I have a theory for halo wars 2 I think the reason Cortana does not interfere with the spirit of fire is because of arks halo activating it might have actually destroyed the domain in that area and because of that I think Cortana is blind in that area.
OMG SO HALO 6 WILL TAKE PLACE THERE
He used Final solution and Eliminate in the same sentence
Maybe mendicant bias will appear in halo wars 2. I know halo wars 2 take solace at the Ark and wouldn't that be an awesome twist
If it has a partially finished Halo Ring, why not just replace installation 04 with that?
And then in 3309 the years named "Elite Dangerous" started.
great as always!!!
I think that since the infinity is the only thing in the galaxy not shut down it could come 2 the ark in halo 6 and find the spirit of fire and help them
I want a Halo game set in the forerunner-flood war.
It would be boring, if I didn’t know better the forerunners were (partially) peaceful people. They disarmed themselves, that’s why the flood was so powerful
a lot of that last info was new to me, sources? i assume the books but i want to get caught up on them
Sources include:
- The Forerunner Saga (Cryptum, Primordium, Silentium)
- Promises to Keep (from Halo: Fractures)
- Halo CE, 2, and 3 (of course)
- Halo: Hunters in the Dark
Wow! Cool stuff! Thanks for this video, I can't wait until halo wars 2! What are you looking forward to the most about Halo wars 2?
keep up good work
just give halo wars 3 fleet and ground battles. don't give up on it Microsoft.
so halo wars 2 takes place after halo 5??
LordTyrellz no one knows. Takes place around the same time period though.
I believe it is a few months after Halo 5 ends.
LordTyrellz I am fairly certain it has been confirmed to be after, but I'm not sure how long.
Yes, 5 months after Halo 5.
lol read that as Halo 2 takes place after halo 5?? got super confused
I'm confused if they activated 04B in halo 3 how come they were able to escape? Is it just that the ring was incomplete so it's firing radius was reduced.
They entered the slipspace portal before the ring actually fired, so they weren't within range.
in the video you mentioned that the forerunners took a "great journey" where they basically self banished themselves from the galaxy? so they are still around??
sam or xjawz yup
hey halo canon got a mini idea going do you think truth ever open up talks with Atriox to ether keep brutes on his side or to make him a aily so he can live its a idea on how Atriox knew about the arc
