Thank you so much for this! I am turning a dress into two pieces and don't have a sewing machine, so this was really helpful.
Thank you so much for the video! i really thought i wont find a videoon how to crop a shirt without a sewing machine...but then your video came up and now i can crop my shirts!!! thank you soo much, you explained it really well!
Thank You glad I could help !
Simple and well done, thanks a bunch.
Glad you liked it ! thank you for watching.
Thank you 👍I will be trying this tomorrow . I’m so tired of paying the Taylor and now I can do this .
You can do it!
The material is still going to fray on the raw edge you have cut, how is this sustainable?
I have a polo shirt with hem. How would I be able to shorten that? Same way? Also how did your thread go from reddish color to white? Thx
Аналогичный вопрос с красной ниткой 🤔
it was edited, there were two different shirts sewn with different thread
With red thread it'll be easily visible for viewers. So, two t-shirts are shown
Thannk youuuuu, i really needed this video :))
You're welcome !
Thank you! 👍😃💞
You are so welcome
What keeps the cut edge from fraying?? After 1 washing you may have a mess? Looking for answers please. I may try this with an old shirt.
The double fold is the best option as raw edges that might fray are protected within hem.
@@MadeByApril ok thank you. Its worth trying😁
@@MadeByApril But you didn't demonstrate that in this video, so you just contradicted your whole video.....
How do you thread the needle for the back stitch, it looks like a single thread?
I used double thread.
@@MadeByApril Thank you! 👍
That's not going to keep it from fraying...
Use pinking sheers to keep it from fraying
@@Christine84080 Still going to fray when you wash it, that's why they invented the overlocker.
That's what I thought, not a good solution
@@charlottearenawhat’s an overlocker? I need to shorten 3 tees and don’t want to ruin them. Thanks!
@@Laura_Rose111 they are going to be ruined if you can't stop them from fraying. You are going to incur bulk at the seams anyway with your method.
is the shirt still stretchable after this?
It still does..but less than the original
Not very much stretch at all.
can you do this with an 100% cotten t-shirt?
Yes you can..
@@MadeByApril ty! (:
My daughter crops her tees all the time and they don’t seem to fray.😊
Glad to hear 😊
Спасибо, теперь знаю, как подшить футболку, когда находишься не дома
