Thanks for the informative video. Was wondering if that is an IR port above the bluetooth label on the bottom left? If it is, would it be possible to locate a remote control for this unit?
I have a Honda Civic of the same model with the same stereo system which the screen does not work. I’m located in Lara, just outside of Geelong in Victoria. Where are you located?
So my garage guy removed my battery and caused the radio to lock. No code on any book, all places the radio code should be is blank. Have a new radio bought off amazon though was wondering if its as easy as swapping one with the other ?? I'm good with tech and stuff but cars not so much lol. Could I feck up bad if I give it a go myself ? Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the information looks way simpler to do than the previous generation was
Thank you so much! I followed this step by step and got mine off. Great instructions 😊

Thanks man 💪
Would it be able to swap the original head unit with an aftermarket (pioneer/alpine/sony) unit with carplay. How would the wiring work?

Just a heads up, you definitely shouldn't share your location + car combo like that.
If you have a non sat nav head unit can you replace that with a sat nav head unit i have a mk9 type r?
No Idea. We are a repair shop. That sounds like a nightmare. Good luck!

Having the exact same issue and wondering how you got this resolved, if you ever did?
Wow, it’s like a Lego! I have the later, (better?) head unit, is there a head unit that’ll take Apple audio? Cheers, Rob
Is that a 10th Gen Civic head unit youre referring to?
