I probably should have done a new save file with every upgrade except the freeflow gadgets one so I can use batarangs without losing my freeflow focus while doing a beatdown on the armored thug but I am still happy with this score and combo so I probably won't try to improve it for a while

Just so you know, the best way to do this as batman is to not have freeflow power gadgets so you can use batarangs during beatdowns and just in general, I'm sure you could find a save file without it or just make one because it can be annoying for batman having all the gadgets you want to use and can't the other 3 don't have this problem as you know and it can be nice and although I don't encourage it, during this you can as the 3 characters who ride titans can cancel riding them saves a good amount of time but is definitely ideal, as id say you can get 50 million+ from that just so you know as id predict someone with a high score has probably done it

I mentioned the freeflow gadget thing in the description and I am not really a fan of canceling animations like that but thanks for letting me know I have considered making a save file with every upgrade except the freeflow gadgets one it might also be useful for iceberg lounge

You mean throwing the batarang behind you while doing the beatdown? Yeah, it seems to speed up the beatdown. OTOH if guys are continually coming up behind you and you have to counter it seems to slow it down. Whenever I'm doing a beatdown on Joker I sometimes have to do an insane number of counters, and if Abromovich or a ninja is in the mix all bets are off.
OTOH, I see now that breaking weapons is just a time suck. You're better off just throwing a batarang at them; the engine auto selects the biggest threat.

Great job on this!! I noted also the gameplay is so smooth and you don't have those enemies whisking across the screen BS I often see when the combo timer gets really high. What did you play this on?

Idk if you’ll see this but whenever I play this challenge with robin or night wing I’ll randomly punch the air and lose my combo even if there are enemies I’m aiming my stick at or someone is right next to them. I’ve even had them punch towards a guy and the punch goes through the guy but the game acts like I just punched the air. Do you know how to prevent this?
