    This looks like something I should have bought years ago. I’m very active and independent and have acquired a certain skill of balancing stuff on my lap, but I can definitely relate to stuff falling off! Great review

    I’m a new wheelchair user
    Everything falls off my lap I’m so embarrassed and amazed how many people won’t help me.
    I need this

      It can be very embarrassing indeed! I've been there many times

      I was sick of people helping, and this has increased my independence 10 fold. (Mike)

    This is exactly what I need!! It has actually become a joke among my kids how often I drop things lol and constantly having to bend over and pick stuff up is so annoying!

    I've just started volunteering at the library and the amount of times a pile of books slips off my lap drives me mad 😂 I will definitely be looking into this!

    • @AdaptToPerform
      @AdaptToPerform  6 месяцев назад +1

      Judging by your user name you're in the UK which means you should be able to get it on access to work 👍

    • @yorkshirenome
      @yorkshirenome 6 месяцев назад

      @@AdaptToPerform That's interesting, I will definitely need to look into that. I'm afraid my heart sank a bit when you mentioned that there might be funding available because I know that means it's expensive to start with 😕 But it really does look amazing and would keep so much with independence. I'll check out the access to work funding. Thank you!

    • @yorkshirenome
      @yorkshirenome 6 месяцев назад

      @@AdaptToPerformOh it looks like it needs to be paid work, they don't give the assistance if it's just voluntary. Ah well!

    • @AdaptToPerform
      @AdaptToPerform  6 месяцев назад

      If it's for work, volunteered or paid, it should be covered under access to work. And the book stacking worked really well for me I could probably stack over 10 no issues

    • @AdaptToPerform
      @AdaptToPerform  6 месяцев назад

      If not you could see if the library will help with funding.

    I have this belt. And I wish I had known about this years ago. This was one of the best investments I ever made for my chair.

    The biggest road block for me with an EV is range, and charging. I live in Texas and to give you an idea of how big the state is ypu can fit all of England, Scotland, and Ireland I'm the border of our state. For us a 3 or 4 hour drive is a day trip. The EV's range and charging time would turn a day trip into an overnight trip. Then there is the cost, and I use a wheelchair so the lack of ability to make it wheelchair friendly.

    They missed a trick here. Could also be used to hold you legs in place (hate it when my legs splay apart). Personally for me, I think it looks a little too bulky. I take pride in keeping my chair as minimal as possible, even my tri-ride clamps annoy me :P

    • @AdaptToPerform
      @AdaptToPerform  6 месяцев назад +1

      In regards to keeping your legs together I recommend when you get your next chair you have fixed side guards that are slightly oversized. Mine keep my legs pointing forward the whole time. I don't think these could be any smaller than they are really and it's all tucked underneath so you barely notice them but as you say minimal is your preference

    • @SirBenJamin_
      @SirBenJamin_ 6 месяцев назад

      @@AdaptToPerform Yep - I want my next chair to have the V front forks, i.e where they taper in to hold your legs in place. With my current chair, all the the bum width is perfect, I can literally fit a whole fist (and more) between the side of my leg and the frame, so my (skinny) legs move all over the place. You don't seem to have lost any weight from you legs, ... mine are like skinny tooth picks.

      I recommend looking into hands on concepts if it's in your price range. Mine has been rock solid and the titanium/carbon fibre look is clean and badass

      For some it will and others it won't be just like anything else. As I say in the video, I personally won't use it enough to justify the price but speaking to others they now can't believe they coped without. I initially turned down the review but after speaking to users I changed my mind.

      For me, if absolutely is worth the price. I have it on both my wheelchairs and it genuinely has been a gamechanger.
