You have just solved my 40 year old mystery. My husband and I both born and raised in Arkansas, but we have lived in Oregon for 35 plus years, and DH mops our garage. I can not begin to tell you how many comments we get about our clean garage, no one else mops their garage here in Oregon!

I love having my things in view. If I don’t see it, chances are, I won’t use it. All my scrapping things are in my scrap room. Finished albums are in the bookcases in the living room. Enjoyed the tour!

I think your very organized. We are empty nesters so I do have a room that I share with my husband who paints, so I pretty much have everything at my fingertips and it does make a nice set up.

I currently have one long wall of my living room as my scrap area. All my stuff is there. Once the kids are all sorted, I hope to have a dedicated room

When I first started scrapbooking about 20 years ago, I didn't have a craft room. In the corner of our dining room I had a Crop In Style tote on wheels that had a 12 x 12 binder that held all of my paper/stickers/die cuts etc. It has side pockets for pens/decorative scissors etc. I stacked a couple of paper pads on top that didn't fit. I had a couple of shelves in a cupboard in my kitchen above a little "desk" where the phone is, where I kept my stamps and large professional photos. I would use the kitchen table Friday night-Saturday night for scrapping, then had to put it all back during the week. Now that I am an empty nester, oldest daughter gave her blessing to turn her old room into my craft room. However, the closest is still full of some of her things that she wants to keep but she doesn't have room in her apartment. I have one table in front of the closet, another table that I work at, a stackable shelf (with horizontal storage like in the stores) for my papers. In her old dresser I have 2 drawers with stamps & ink, one drawer for heritage/geneology research, one drawer for empty albums/extra page protectors, one drawer for my younger daughter's scrapbooking supplies, and the final drawer holds finished pages until they are ready to be put in an album. I am hoping some day to get a book shelf or cube unit to do vertical storage like so many people do, but for now I am happy for what I have.

Great video. You seem to keep things at a minimum. WHich is awesome. I have stuff from years ago that are perfectly fine and paper I still like so I don't move it out of my stash. But its a lot and seems heavy on the soul. Thanks for sharing.

When I moved into my RV for almost a year I purged big time. Since then I don't like stuff I am not using. So my rule is USE IT OR LOOSE IT
I want new products but can't justify having so much product I don't use it before buying new. Living in my RV was a game changer for sure on how I buy. Even now.

My craft room is in a finished bonus room.above our 4 car garage. The walls are slanted because finished attic space is on the sides. That holds seasonal decor. No closet in the room. I have my paper in iris cases in 2 (4 drawer) Home Depot plastic dressers our kids used for college. It holds 16 iris cases and my desk holds another 2 iris cases of paper. I work on layouts by the album. I enjoy watching your videos and seeing how you organize your room..I love to organize. I always save unused storage containers. Eventually we find a use for them.

Thanks for the tour. Yes, we do evolve as scrapbookers/crafters in many ways. In 2000 as a newly divorced and single working mom I did my first album at my dining room table in a small apartment. My meager supplies were in a box. Fast forward to today, with an empty nest and due to lots of hard work on an actual house, and a wonderful, handy 2nd husband, I have a craft room that has been customized to accommodate my crafty needs. It’s not Gucci, but it is functional, organized, full of crafty supplies, and it works for me. You are so right, there is no wrong way to do things in this hobby. We are all in different seasons of our life. And hey, scrappers gonna scrap, and we’ll do it anywhere!

I pretty much got rid of my eyelets ,I have silver ,gunmetal and copper ,that’s about it . I don’t like making cards any more either unless it’s a challenge. I’ve got to do something with my pictures ! I was so frustrated doing the valentine movie challenges,I could not find the photos I wanted . Thanks for showing us your things

Very nice! I don't have many scrappy supplies in my closet, most of those are in my room too. When your hubby takes those shelves out of your closet, could they be turned horizontal in your craft room? Because I see the are wider then 12 inches. You are the queen of getting things done.

My crafty stuff is definitely a work in progress! Dare I say I have too much? I have a dedicated room with 3 cube units that are 12 cubes each. One is mainly albums, some completed and some I am filling. I scrap albums for many nieces and nephews plus for hubby and I. I am trying to get room under control, hence no spending only for essentials like tape and glue. My paper and embellishments are intermixed. I tend to be a collection scrapbooker for convenience mostly. It is easiest to find a collection in my space. I really have not found the best system. The closet is small in my scrap room and is filled with iris bins that are carts that are mostly themes. And a narrow shelf of cardstock paper.
I have printed photos in closets of master bedroom and my overflow of paper. Shelves in master bedroom have my oldest completed albums which are Creative memories. Many are ones that I did for my Mom of entire family that I received when she passed.
The past several years I have done a lot of organizing and decluttering and purging of my entire townhouse. I purge very little from my scrapbook supplies. The price of things are way too high to replace! That said I do need to reduce my inventory because I would like to make a major move within five years! ❤❤❤

You will get to the place you want to be my friend I know you can do it. I really hope your inspired. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.

You talked about your professional pictures. You are putting them into albums? How are you organizing them in an album, random, by person,?? This is the first of your videos I have watched. Will be watching more. Those types of pictures have me stumped. I would love to see how you are doing them if you could direct me to some of your videos. Thank you.
