      A M no. But woman deciding that she's not ready to take care of a child for whatever reason is not the same as keeping someone against their will to work without pay. Comparing the two is a very absurd and ignorant thing to do. Not harassing a woman because she wants to make her own decisions on something that my personal beliefs don't want to divulge in, is not the same as actively standing by and allowing people to be hurt and discriminated against. There is no baby if the woman does not wish to have one. They are one until the child has left the womb and to bring a child into the world in the knowledge that you would not properly care for it is far more irresponsible.

    • @imogencarney3421
      @imogencarney3421 6 лет назад +4

      A M I think when it comes to morals you must ask yourself, "Are these moral beliefs really benefiting the subject, or are they benefiting my own conscience and self." Moral, ethical treatment of animals is valid because animals can experience pain and suffering. Moral treatment of a foetus is different because it depends on your personal beliefs and how they tie in to your view of the foetus. Personally, I have no religion so i feel no one owns your body but you. And is it not morally wrong to actively deny and prevent vulnerable and usually young women from preventing the birth of a child that would only suffer due to the care she knew she was not able to provide?

    Do you know how many of those wee babes remain unadopted and stay in those homes?
    Some of these women are sometimes too young to take care of a child or simply cannot afford to raise another child. do you know how difficult it is to raise a child with severe disabilities? What happens to that child when the parents are gone or too old to take care of it?
    These women do not hate children, many want to have children, but sometimes the time isn't right or they cannot handle the burden of one.
    Would you rather a girl throw herself repeated of the stairs or punch herself into a miscarriage? Go to somewhere unlicensed and end up with a life-threathening infection? Dumping the unwanted child at someone's door or in a dumpster?
    Yes sometimes the mother will in turn love the child, but in many rape cases the mother does not, and mistreats and abuses the child, because she's unwilling to love the child, because it's an extension of her rapist.
    People need to keep their personal feelings out of the choice of others, specially men. Religion has no place in this. So far religions are losing followers because it only pushes away people, people that need help, but it won't support them and people are appalled by it. You can still be religious and be pro-choice.

    • @jamieangel3766

      Exactly! well said. The average person never stops to think about how shit a life it will be FOR THE CHILD if they are born in circumstances when they are not wanted, severely disabled or where they are born into a family with not enough money to support them growing up and following their interests. Others will be born into families who already have too many children and therefore never get enough time and attention for their mental well being.
      Many times women choose for the right reasons - for the sake of the child. Maybe they have had an abusive childhood themselves and they know that with one more child they might snap and treat all their children abusively and damage them because they just cannot cope anymore with extra responsibility. There is more to the story that plain black and white! Not only that these religious folk dont realise that without abortion our planet would have went under decades ago considering we are overpopulated as it is

    I got pregnant on the Norplant contraception back in '96. I was told if I went ahead with the pregnancy then my baby would be born without arms, legs, eyes, or possibly half of a brain or even no head. I was totally against abortions until I sat in that chair at that moment, it wasn't about me but that child. I didn't have to choose because I miscarried at almost 3 months and had to have a D&C, but I've though about that baby often. Had I carried to full term she would have had a horrendous life if she'd lived, and the health problems along with the deformities would have given her a life filled with unbearable pain. Who am I to sentence anyone to a life like that? I still don't agree with abortions just because you don't want a baby, or some asinine reason like that, but for the sake of the baby's life or that of the mother there shouldn't be an issue with having an abortion. I've now got 3 beautiful children, but I'm a mom of 4, Riley was a life and she was here, even if only for a few weeks under my heart❤️

    I always see older generations arguing on belhaf of the pro-lifers most, if not, all of the time. It's the same way here in the USA. I'm so proud of my mother, who is 72. Shes a veteran of 34 years (many of those years in medicine) and doesn't think she has a right to decide what other women do with their bodies. I was raised always having the freedom to make my own moral decisions but I would never sleep with someone I didn't love enough to raise a child with. Personally, I would never push a significant other to get an abortion, other than for necessary medical reasons. However, I let others make their own decisions and live their own lives. When it comes to all that religious shenanigans, I grew up in church and was once a youth leader. I'd rather religion not be a factor in whether or not someone has the right to live in one way or another. Live and let live. Cheers

    “Our bodies are not of our own. It is the temple of the Holy Spirit.” I’m sorry but I really believe this is my body and not some “spirits”. Also I’m kinda on the gray line when comes to this. I believe women should have a choice in the matter especially if it’s rape or if the child has to manny deformities to the point the child will have no quality of life. This also goes if the child would kill the mother. But I believe every thing should be in moderation. Unfortunately I’ve seen other documentaries about this from other countries and some kill the child only because they are a girl. I am not ok with that at all or if they were stupid and did not use protection like teenage moms and they just get rid of the child like it’s nothing. That is where I draw the line.

    As a religious person, I obviously have to share my two cents and also share my truth. I think what everyone seems to miss is that it boils down to what you believe in. If you whole heartedly believe in god, you aren’t afraid of any hardship (which isn’t possible because unlike god, we are not perfect. Plus fear is not of god). Say you get pregnant and at the time you didn’t feel like sex was that serious, so you didn’t think that to have sex you need to be ready for a baby. But if even then, regardless of what is thrown at you, even if you have to fight so very hard and you hate it all, if you stay firm and still trust in god, the that to me is true faith. And I truly believe that with god you can conquer all. I see the points people are making in this comment section, and before I became religious I would’ve completely agreed. I still wish everyone here the best, regardless of beliefs and opinions. If you’ve read this far I hope you have a very nice day and god bless.

    We all know that pro-life people say that abortion is killing, and killing is never accepted. That seems appropriate. But you guys almost forget something, those people who get abortion, they have their own reasons. nobody wants to kill people, what about girls who are raped, then have to give birth to that unwanted child? How can they love and give them the best? How can they stand this child - a painful memory of crime, humiliation and torment?
    Or for those who are poor, how can they assure that they will be able to give the child enough food, take care of them and pay their tuition fees? Yet those women cant even be able to take care of themselves, these unwanted children are seen as a burden. They will likely to experience hunger, ignorance on the path of development? Hey pro-life people, do you want that? If you against abortion for the sake of those children, you have to have a broader view.

    You know what's crazy, I was supposedly supposed to be born severely disabled with a disorder called Trisomy 18 which consequently would have meant I would have been born severely deformed etc and the doctors could've sworn without a doubt by doing ultrasounds that I would be born with deformities etc etc but when I was born they took me right away and did a detailed examination on me and said I was fine and here I am 15 years later, but the funny thing is is that the doctors told my parents that they might wanna consider just going ahead and getting an abortion cuz I'd be born so messed up but here I am making this comment right now 15 years later, crazy right.

    So much suffering that could have been avoided just because some people's beliefs and ideologies just ignore real world problems.

    smh Gonna force people to have babies they don't want. They're gonna abuse that unwanted child. The child is gonna grow up wishing they actually did get aborted.

    This is a completely biased documentation for the pro choice side. Unfair representation of the pro life side.

      How so? By showing women as people? Yeah, it's harder to be anti-choice if you consider women to be people, isn't it?

    • @roxannecarey3977
      @roxannecarey3977 6 лет назад +2

      zammmerjammer as a woman myself who is pro life, I found that pro life campaigners didn't get enough say in this video and didn't get the chance to fully explain their reasons behind their views. Didn't hear much pro life women speak in this video at all. All they showed was men speak from a religious angle which isn't the main reason why people are against abortion. It is clear to see whether you are for/against, it is a biased documentary. Most air time went to pro choice.

      What they think is fine for their own lives. You don't get to dictate other people's medical decisions. Should we all get a panel of nobodies to weigh in with their personal feelings when someone needs an appendectomy or bone marrow transplant? Either women are fully capable adult human beings or they are addled children whose bodies belong to the state. Freedom or slavery -- pick one.

    • @roxannecarey3977

      zammmerjammer don't think that's a very good argument to be honest. A tiny percentage of terminations occur due to rape/abnormalities. Majority take place due to unplanned pregnancies with no health issues whatsoever. I feel the baby has a right and choice to live too. I know we don't have capability of changing each other's minds, just voicing my opinion about an unfair documentary in my view.

    • @zammmerjammer
      @zammmerjammer 6 лет назад +6

      +Roxanne Carey Your responding to what, exactly? The voices in your head? It's funny you respond with "don't think that's a very good argument" while just repeating random anti-choice talking points and not addressing my argument whatsoever. I didn't mention anyting about "rape/abnormalities." I argued that women do not suddenly become slaves when they become pregnant, nor do they suddenly become incompetent to make their own decisions. Either women need all of their medical decisions approved by the state because they are simple-minded children who can't be trusted to make adult choices, or they're not.
      It's one or the other.

      Because anti-choicers are all liars using gory pictures of NATURAL MISCARRIAGES, not abortions. Truth is abortions don't provide much to photograph. Liars using photos of family tragedies to support abrogating women's basic rights and provoke reactions because they know they have no real basis for their position -- yeah, that's pretty distressing.

      zammmerjammer there are literal boxes of baby guts in planned parenthood labs, pics of crushed and sucked out baby bodies straight after abortion. I am not christian, but cmon, abortion is horrible

    • @zammmerjammer
      @zammmerjammer 6 лет назад +10

      +J Bast There are literally none of those things. The vast majority of abortions are not D&Cs but are from abortifacient drugs -- meaning the woman takes the pills and LEAVES. Thus the abortion doesn't even take place at the clinic. Any fetuses being removed late enough in the pregnancy to be at all recognizable as anything other than some clumps of clotted blood are because the fetus was either dead already or had serious congenital defects. Abortion is only "horrible" when it is done in a back alley with a coat hanger. When done in a medical facility under supervision it is a medical procedure like any other. Or I suppose you think colonscopies are horrible and freak out when over the LITERAL intestinal polyps that get removed?

  • @neuritamoen2653
    @neuritamoen2653 6 лет назад +16

    Your body, your choice; too bad the fetus isn't a part of your body, so you shouldn't have a choice over the fetus. The fetus, scientifically is already an individual and not an extension of yourself.

    • @zammmerjammer
      @zammmerjammer 6 лет назад +13

      What nonsense. How is the fetus not part of a woman's body when it relies on the woman's body for ITS VERY EXISTENCE?
      Stupid.

      A woman has choice over a foetus because the foetus is leeching off the mother's nutrients. In the case of an unwanted pregnancy, the foetus leeches off the woman's nutrients without her consent and against her will, meaning the foetus is breaching the mother's bodily autonomy rights. thus, she has every right to remove the fetus from her body.

    Im only pro life if the baby is healthy and wasnt concieved by rape. I feel like it is still a life and that the child should be given a chance at life and can grow up with a family that may not be able to have children and will love them. So Im not sure Im pro life or pro abortion after watching this. 😕

      Maybe more in the direction of informed choice then? So the women absolutly has the choice to go through with an abortion but maybe have a conversation/counselling session with a professional beforehand.

    I completely cringed. This is so biased and in favor of prochoice, purely selecting to record narrowminded defenders of the 8th amendment, the dont represent the population who condemn abortion. At least let viewers know where you stand before they are exposed to overly devote catholics. The reasons they provided shown in this video are appalling. Our country is divided and there are arrogant & ignorant people on both sides. You just chose to show those of the prolife here. Have a bit of respect.
