    Absolutely in love with this one! My all time favorite Tag!

    Tag is working hard these days, I LOVE that watch. If you’re going to make a more affordable, more durable tool watch that you’ll wear all day everyday it just makes so much more sense to put a solar movement in it. Truly a set it and forget it watch, precisely why all the Eco Drive Promasters appeal to me and SEALS and CG divers… So impressed that Tag went for it.

      Yeah, I know this is rather expensive for a solar quartz. But, for me, I have to sideline value for what my heart and gut feels for a watch many times.
      I also see it this way. Whether you like or dislike where TAG Heuer has been and going, it's one of the most recognized luxury watch brands in the world so the intangible name cache goes with it which is a plus.
      The design is uniquely TAG Heuer. This particular model I love the matte finish and angles mixed with some subtle pizzazz of the dial.
      And, this titanium watch is really well made and super comfortable. It has just enough of a tool-free microadjustment with an easy link like extension feature.
      For an all titanium watch, the bezel action is really good IMHO. I can't remember one that didn't feel like crap.. usually rough, unrefined and not as smooth as a rotating bezel should maintain.
      And, the LJP movement is quite accurate in my example and as such with all the rest of it, makes for a great grab and go watch. It's one of the few that make me occasionally question why I have as many watches as I do when this works so near perfectly everyday?
      If it's a good feeling watch and easily encourages a long time commitment of use and enjoyment on wrist, then I'd say it is ultimately worth every penny I've spent on it.

      @@e28forever30 from Hodinkee "Just like last year's release, the traditional horizontal-lined sunray-brushed dial is semi-translucent to allow light to power the TH50-00 solar movement. Made in collaboration with TAG Heuer and La Joux-Perret (owned by Citizen), the movement will never need a battery change, with two minutes of sunlight powering the watch for a full day and 20 hours of solar charge providing six months of power."

    The watch weighs 80 grams with 4 links removed. It is very light and comfortable. A truly modern watch with its own unique identity. The first Tag Heuer since the early Heuer era that I really like. It feels like a return to form.

      I showed one of my watch buddies it today. He was impressed. It's quite a nice watch. Noticeably lighter than his new Pelagos 39. Pretty nice build and style overall. Say what some may about the solar quartz movement. It's solid and pretty dn accurate and super low maintenance. Yes, no doubt the watch is pricey. But, whatever.. I still really like it and glad I got it. I've felt the typically crappy bezel action of full titanium watches before. This TAG has one of the best bezel action, period. It's not heavy, no crisp and positive and smooth. None of that gritty and nasty sounding ti bezel action I've had in the past

    The 36mm aquaracer pro 300 is steel and fully brushed (apart from some polished accents). The black and white dials do not have diamonds and look quite nice!

    Maybe I missed it in your other videos on this watch, if so I apologize, but can you describe the method used to size the bracelet? From your initial unboxing it reminded me of the IWC/Cartier “push button” system. I tried the watch on this weekend (loved it) and remembered thinking “those don’t look like collars/pins” but I failed to notice the “button” you pointed out. Awesome content btw!

      I'm pretty sure to size the bracelet and remove links, it uses a pin and collar system.

      I have to measure later after work when I get home.

    • @khronokraze

      If I measured correctly, I got 30.3 mm

    • @JimLecinski
      @JimLecinski Год назад

      @@khronokraze oh wow interesting. so for a 40.5mm watch its got quite a bit of bezel and smaller glass (making it wear smaller.) for comparison the Oris and Vuclain 38mm divers have ~30mm of glass.

    • @khronokraze
      @khronokraze  Год назад +2

      @@JimLecinskias u can see, the bezel is not thin or narrow. add to it is is 12 sided so that actually adds a bit of visual weight to the bezel as opposed to a perfectly round one.. much like how a more square case looks larger than a round one even if they by measurement are supposed to be the same case size. That all being said, I'd say it wears about right for a 40mm watch.

    There's a collab Aquaracer with Bamford watches which was in titanium and had a matte finish. That model was the older larger Aquaracer.

      I am aware. Pretty cool. Surprised it didn't use their trademark light blue and all black. Looks good. 43mm for me is usually just on outer limit of my comfort zone. I also like the latest Night Diver and GMT, both at 43mm. Might be just doable. But, 40mm for the Aquaracer for me is more proper for me.

      No idea. I don't have a scale. You could probably find that info somewhere online

    • @basselamjad958
      @basselamjad958 Год назад

      @@khronokraze I've searched everywhere and couldn't find that info.The closest info I've seen is that it weighs about half of the steel.I needed to figure that out to help me decide which titanium Dive watch I should get between this one or the Sinn T50.

    • @khronokraze
      @khronokraze  Год назад

      @@basselamjad958yeah, that info is oddly and annoyingly absent from anywhere.
      Anyways.. if you want my opinion, both are bound to be pretty light over comparable steel dive watches of roughly same size.
      I'd say the TAG even more so since the case size is a little smaller and thinner than the Sinn, and the movement is quartz versus mechanical in the Sinn.
      Really, I doubt the weight difference in titanium between the two models you are considering is much of a factor in which one to buy. The Sinn is a noticeably more expensive by at least $1k more, if I'm not mistaken. The TAG will be more accurate more often. However, the Sinn will have more resilient material being it is more scratch resistant. The TAG does not have any scratch resistant coating more special metal treatment to prevent scratches.
      Lastly, which style speaks to you more? The T50 is more tamed and basic, IMHO... Not just in comparison to the Aquaracer which is more stylish and one of TAG's more definitive modern diver designs, but, also to the U50.. which I personally prefer the more uniquely Sinn blocky handset and dial to the T50's which looks a bit more generic in comparison.. I feel I've seen that dial and handset from other brands before, sword hands and simple baton style markers.
