  • A film concept I pretty much stole from Sam Newton after I saw one of his films. I was depressed and was immediately inspired to create something. I took the idea and used travel footage just sitting on my hard drive to make something similar for fun.

    Plot twist, the narration is for the seagull taking flight at the end. Great visuals though! I came here to convince myself my A7IV is sufficient and I don't need to go buy a new camera. Mission accomplished.

      Muhahahah. I had to pay him to do the voice over. And yes dude it totally is. And honestly all this social media , content creation, RUclips filmmaking jazz is fake. It won't make you happy. Trust me. No matter how good you get with a camera, it's not where happiness comes from. Enjoy the process. Create for you. Don't compare yourself to others. I know we hear these things, but we never implement them. As creators we think we constantly have to be posting for we will be forgotten about. But we are anyways. No one cares about you and what you are doing. They are worried about themselves. Once I realized this it was the most freeing thing for me. I just want to pay it forward. Thanks for reading.

      Absolutely!! That's what inspired me so much. I was searching for happiness. A sense of wholeness. But I can't find that out in the world. I have to find it within myself. Thanks so much for watching!!

    1:08 Great homage to the painting: "Wanderer above the Sea" by Caspar David Friedrich.
    Great mini film. Also depressed currently. So, I think we're all searching.
    Have a good one

      I am depressed also. It's hard to live in today's society when all we are is customers to the systems in place. Its hard to block out the noise when it's constantly being pressed towards you. We live in a strange world at the moment. It is a very beautiful planet with beautiful people. But the people controlling everything are ruining what makes it great.

    Amazing shots! Whats Lens are you using in this video?

    • @BryceDocherty
      @BryceDocherty  4 месяца назад +2

      I only have a Sigma 24 1.4 and a Sony Zeiss 50 1.4 Could have used any camera with a 24 prime and a 50 prime really. Just as long as the camera has good dynamic range and preferably 10 bit. And I always use a monitor and ND filters. Exposure is the most important thing when capturing information on the cameras sensor.

    I would love to see a video of you explaining how to expose and capture properly to make the colour room easier?

    • @BryceDocherty
      @BryceDocherty  3 месяца назад

      So I ALWAYS use a monitor and ND filters. I have the lut on the monitor and expose exactly how I want it to look in post. I add some tweaks in the curves when grading but nothing crazy.
