James, host country has to keep in mind guests’ preferences to give warm welcome to everyone. Having the maharaja train has got nothing to do with ruling time. We have a very long history before that as well which has many pleasant memories and lessons.

The Maharaja is supposed to be a throwback to empire days . Even if the current government is anti empire and many before were obviously for reasons we all know(won't go into that). They can't make a train modelled after an old Victorian train in times of empire to look anything different than what it used to be. It's a symbolism of bygone era.😊 The big b sound and all to make you feel you're in a Victorian era train. Plus there used to be more grandeur and actual Maharajas in those times. There's another train which tours Rajasthan and is literally a throwback to days of Raj steam engine and all.
Isn't it getting boring, implying that Hinduism represents India, there are other faiths too you know
