What if bulma krillen and gohan went to planet cereal on accident instead of namek and used their dragonballs? Would granolah turn to the good side and train with goku ?
I think the reason Granolah's hair grew could be because the dragon used almost like a hyperbolic time chamber kind of thing, which would explain why Granolah's hair grew and why his lifespan has been shortened so much, because a great amount of time has passed for him

Honestly, GT did better on the dragonballs in every way: new lore was introduced, Shenron's speech at the end of the series was profound, and Piccolo's fusion with Kami was granted even greater weight since their original form was who created the black star balls and Piccolo's fused form effectively brought them back and added greater weight to his past and his place within the series. Piccolo is my favorite character in the series and I love having him given a greater significance to the series proper.
The biggest plot point I see coming is that both Goku and Vegeta were actively training and getting demonstrably stronger while Granolah got his wish fulfilled. Depending on how much head room the dragon gave him (and assuming Beerus and Whis don't count), he may be surprised to find that he lost his status as the strongest in the universe as quickly as he gained it... Of course he'd still be a formidable threat, but barely not enough to defeat the other two who (unknown to all three) had overtaken him again in the meantime. With that they could give Granolah the final push over the edge for him to snap fully. He sacrificed most of his life to reach his one goal in life - but yet again it's those damn saiyans who take away all he had! How dare they!? The issue I see with the Dragonballs from earth is that at a certain point the heroes are so powerful that wishing people back is really the only thing they _could_ realistically be needed for. I just realized that Toronbo’s wish wasn’t OP. A dragon’s power is equivalent to its user but the rules never said that the dragon can’t use the wisher’s latent powers to fulfill the wish.

As someone who plays TTRPG's where you can get a wish granted, I wonder if people are considering the real flaw of his wish. Granolah wished to be the "strongest" fighter in the universe, not the "best" fighter. As we all know and have seen in both the manga and the show, Power isn't truly everything. I feel like an honorable mention should be made on smoke shenron, the blue DragonBalls and of course, the Shadow Dragons. At the time, compared to anything that had happened in the serious, yes, even compared to the black star DragonBalls and ultimate shenron, these guys were a very creative idea, while their execution could have been better and was somewhat butchered in the end, you can't deny the idea of DragonBalls not only being the enemies for once, but also, the final enemies of series, all for the sake of misusage and their overall stagnation on wishes was very creative concept, it made us see that we had concequences to make too many wishes, and over time, if we kept going, we would eventually reach a point where they would ultimately backfire on us and end up being our downfall. Also, extra note, I love how every single shadow dragon, except Syn Shenron, had a connection to an elemental property, like how nuova shenron has fire based abilities, and ize shenron has ice based abilities, it made them feel like they were truly forces of nature, which was a really cool touch.
Didn't bulma or someone in the early parts of Dragonball mention that Earth's Dragonballs was at one point just 1 big Dragonball but was split into 7 because someone tried to steal it?
What if bulma krillen and gohan went to planet cereal on accident instead of namek and used their dragonballs? Would granolah turn to the good side and train with goku ?
I think it would be cool if we dove into the history of the dragonballs during this arc. Like, we know Namekians make dragonballs and we know the consequences, but we dont know 2 big factors which are Who did the super dragonballs come from if the balls were made, and does the Super Shenron have a negative effect like the GT saga after selfish wishes like Zamasu's and Berrus'.
With all the wishes to revive people, I'm surprised an evil henchman didn't wish for there evil master to be revived, or an evil sorcerer asking for the ultimate evil to be released on universe 7. Since the Cell Jr's are canonically alive that would be the "perfect" excuse to bring back Cell.
Regarding Shen's wish, why hasn't Old Kai wished to be separated from the witch he is Potara Fused with? He literally has the option, made it clear he wasn't happy being fused with the witch, yet he hasn't wished himself separated? As usual, Super pretends to know something interesting they've introduced, only to completely blank on it
I think the decline of the dragon balls really started in the beginning of DBZ. In Dragon Ball there was always some thing they are to oppose are heroes from gathering all seven dragon balls (Pilaf, the Red Ribbon Army etc) Jump to Z and gathering the dragon balls was something the tertiary characters could do off screen. It took the adventure out of it and made getting the dragon balls mundane
whsat dlacine it ben knwoi dbz is mroe poploe then dragonvall so no dlaalcine suepr evn mroe pole then dragonball hell heros i even mroe p[ole then dragonballs agian what dleicne jhapne say it fake dude
Like back in Z, i wished for shenron to be summoned right next to porunga when the namekians were on earth. Seeing his reactions to beerus i really want to know what they says when these dragons meet (no GT doesnt count)
Granolah's full life span is around two hundred years, and after his wish he now only has three years left. I wonder if someone like Goku or any species with a "human lifespan" were to make the same wish on this dragon, would they also have three years left? Or would their lifespan be drastically reduced to something like a mere month?
I hadn't really thought about this before, but shouldn't Universe 7's mortal level be way higher after Buu's rampage in episode 278? Since the wish to undo it was that only good people were revived.
Giving in and wishing for power would be admitting that the Monkeys are better than him, & he has to rely on a wish to keep up. He’d rather lose 1 million times than do that, because if he’s going to get revenge, he’s gonna prove just how superior he is to them by doing it.
Me: Wish to be strongest in the universe Dragon: OK but will will shorten the years of your life the more powerful you wish to be Me: I also wish for immortality Dragon: you sneaky SOB
Not to fan the flames of conspiracy, but there always needs to be a wise namekian behind each set of balls. If Super Shenron's reach is infinite, then the namekian behind the SDBs must mean either if two things: A. The creator of the SDBs must still be alive and well. Otherwise his or her dragon balls would have become inert. B. A chain of succession would have been established, following the line of Zalama himself. Like with the G.O.D.s.
given the old namekian was not happy with granola using his dragonballs the way he did, do you think he might fuse with piccolo either with the hope to become strong enough to stop granola or to provide piccolo with a new power of some sort, which maybe does not make him god level but gives him a strength boost as well as a new useful ability.
I absolutely love the usage of the Dragon Balls in Super. The biggest reason I prefer DB over Z is because Z effectively relegated the Dragon Balls into a reset button.
Here's an idea. What if Kami never made Dragon Balls? Or what if Dende saw what people did and never made Dragon Balls? If the Z Fighters knew that death was permanent (pre-Namek), how would that change the story? Or, if Li'l Green decided Earthlings were too irresponsible and never made them? Maybe people would remember King Piccolo and Buu. Maybe Namekians would be all but extinct. Maybe Pilaf and young Bulma would need to find a new line of work.
masako: one of the strongest openings me: BUT WHY DID HE GET HAKAI THO akira: MWAHAHAHA I MADE ANOTHER STRONG GUY AND GAVE HIM A BETTER HAKAI THEN VEGETA JUST TO FLEX EVEN HARDER ON VEGETA
I believe it's plausible. Toyotaro is a very big fan of the Shadow Dragons, so this might be the first step to expanding that part of the Dragon World.
@@MasakoX hope he does. I feel there needs proper consequences for over use of the dragon balls so we're not used to having them as a crutch all the time. That being said, i feel that might be more end of the series material than something that happens now
Pilaf straight up wanted to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world. Commander Red might have been stupid about it, but Staff Officer Black likely would not have been given the chance. Sure, just about every other wish aside from the handful of comical or petty ones did center around the concept of vitality with restoring age, life, or granting immortality, but folks should really go back to the roots to remember that, yeah, you really don't wanna let ambitious folk just have their way with such relics. Frieza actually getting immortality would have been terrible for the Dragon team; Him changing his mind later into something more comical does not change that fact. And dealing with Zamasu entirely wasn't exactly a cakewalk either when one of the two stole Goku's body in a way we'd normally only see Ginyu pull off (or Wheelo, assuming he had been successful somehow) while the other was practically unkillable with ease. I think that's what's been lacking for a good while in terms of the Dragon Balls overall. Not just consequences of too much wish granting in GT, which I thought was quite a fair and neat plotpoint, but someone ELSE either trying to get to them first or destroy them so the heroes could not fall back on them or use it against them to do very dastardly deeds. So OF COURSE I'm not surprised someone wished to be powerful outright, I just wondered what took so long; It's not like it was ever really off the table as far as the whole lore goes.
I guess when they made Dragon Ball more dramatic and a plot device in the first half of Z they had to make sure the villains didn’t get the Dragon Balls. Then Cell and Buu didn’t care about the Dragon Balls, nor did Beerus, Resurrection ‘F’ Frieza, Universe 6, the Potafeu, and the Watagash. The only reason why Zamasu cared is because he wanted galactical genocide, but the fact that the Super Dragon Balls can aid in such extreme genocide means that they should come with built-in consequences for the less powerful Dragon Balls (or delayed like the GT Earth Dragon Balls)
You this is something that just pop in my head while I was listening to you I know it's off topic but that dragon side granola would be the strongest asset when it comes to angels and gods of destruction so does that mean now he's stronger than jiren, Broly & Cumber if he was canon 💯🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Wait The dragonballs in the dragonball series Are becoming RELEVENT I cant believe the powerful orbs that the anime and many are named after Are relevent
Wait Bulma does WHAT to stay looking young? Comes from the richest family on Earth, has PANCHY'S genes, but has to resort to magic alien dragon wishes to look good? Damn lol. Wonder how Tights stays looking as good then. Maybe she got Mama's special code
But seriously though, in a video about the dragon balls being relevant or not, you speak of GT, and ignore that one arc where the balls were relevant the most? The final GT arc, that had those 7 evil dragons? Disappointing...
Am I misremembering, weren't the Dragon Balls used to restore Goku's power so he could finish off Majon Buu? I am only bring this up because it wasn't mentioned and I thought it was one of the more creative uses for the Balls.
it wasd never oin to end at fireza sgaa think about vegeta was stornger then piccolo if gokud ie on neamek with veeg bein eivl stel he wood kil ev oen no way wood they end it there
Oh yeah, I forgot about Dragon Balls being actually really powerful. I thought about them being just free revive cards. Quite ironic, that a show named Dragon Ball almost doesn't even try utilising the huge potential of an idea, such as Dragon Balls.
@@MasakoX, I really wish we'd get more dragons that all have their unique features. Porunga couldn't revive multiple people at once, Shenron couldn't grant 1 wish twice, and now this Dragon, who can work like a monkey's paw. Would be nice if we saw dragon, for example, who needs to be asked in a very specific manner; Or first completing a series of challenges (Apart from collecting the balls themselves); Or all wishes having an expiration date, like fairy godmother; Or being granted in a twisted and unexpected ways; Or being a member of certain race. There's just so much of potential with all those rules, which would also make Super Shenron look more powerful, because he has no such rules.

Every time Dragon Ball Super drops a chapter, there is always drama with this fan base.
Your pfp is shuisui.
@@jantheking7028 Yeah I like Shisui, I like Huey as well. I hope there is a season 5 for Boondocks
No
Hopefully this comes back as the shadow dragon arc
I think it would be cool if we dove into the history of the dragonballs during this arc. Like, we know Namekians make dragonballs and we know the consequences, but we dont know 2 big factors which are Who did the super dragonballs come from if the balls were made, and does the Super Shenron have a negative effect like the GT saga after selfish wishes like Zamasu's and Berrus'.
Nappa: "Hey Vegeta. What does the Scouter say about the Dragon Balls' Revelant Level?"
Vegeta: "IT'S OVER 9000!!!"
As usual, Super pretends to know something interesting they've introduced, only to completely blank on it
You forgot about Krillin removing 17 and 18's chest nukes
Would have been fun for him to go through the Movie wishes
I think the decline of the dragon balls really started in the beginning of DBZ. In Dragon Ball there was always some thing they are to oppose are heroes from gathering all seven dragon balls (Pilaf, the Red Ribbon Army etc)
Jump to Z and gathering the dragon balls was something the tertiary characters could do off screen. It took the adventure out of it and made getting the dragon balls mundane
whsat dlacine it ben knwoi dbz is mroe poploe then dragonvall so no dlaalcine suepr evn mroe pole then dragonball hell heros i even mroe p[ole then dragonballs agian what dleicne jhapne say it fake dude
hello masakox!!I'm a new sub
hope Zalama makes his debut soon
wait, i just realized i haven't seen the podcasts being uploaded on the channel. i had assumed they stopped. where are they putting them?
I think Granolah will learn of the other dragin balls and might wish to have his normal lifeapan back.
Wouldn't it be crazy if freiza wished for this power, and maybe that's why he's not brought up in end of z?
Giving in and wishing for power would be admitting that the Monkeys are better than him, & he has to rely on a wish to keep up. He’d rather lose 1 million times than do that, because if he’s going to get revenge, he’s gonna prove just how superior he is to them by doing it.
Last time i was this early goku arrived on time
so... never?
Me: Wish to be strongest in the universe
Dragon: OK but will will shorten the years of your life the more powerful you wish to be
Me: I also wish for immortality
Dragon: you sneaky SOB
Here is something I thought off with Dragon Balls and its consequences; what if this is the signs of a connection to GT or reckoning GT?
What if idea: what if Goku knew how to grow senzu beans
Can you make a what if on “what if Vegeta was sent to earth instead of goku” if you haven’t already please?
Not to fan the flames of conspiracy, but there always needs to be a wise namekian behind each set of balls. If Super Shenron's reach is infinite, then the namekian behind the SDBs must mean either if two things:
1:13... Nice 👍🏽
Maybe Pilaf and young Bulma would need to find a new line of work.
duder if kamie never dragonball then show can tbe called dragonvball
@@ssjgotenks2009 Good point. Though imagine their faces when they reach Namek and find out that wish-granting orbs are a thing.
What if Krillin was a Saiyan part 8 plz?
Is there a specific reason why the Up on the Lookout podcast isn’t posted on RUclips?
Not really. We want the podcast to be its own thing and perhaps we may upload some episodes here to help promote it.
When did you do "Up on the lookout"? I cant find it anywhere.
masako: one of the strongest openings
me: BUT WHY DID HE GET HAKAI THO
akira: MWAHAHAHA I MADE ANOTHER STRONG GUY AND GAVE HIM A BETTER HAKAI THEN VEGETA JUST TO FLEX EVEN HARDER ON VEGETA
Yes of course.
and I would like to request a
new what if.,"What if Goku
was half krypton/moon alien/
and saiyan".
You should do what if goten trunks and pan had tails
Without a doubt i say that super/toyotaro needs to implement actual consequences for overusing the dragon balls like gt did with the shadow dragons
That being said, i feel that might be more end of the series material than something that happens now
@@Tobi-cc5fc I second that.
Can't Granola wish for immortality next if he wanted too?
hello masako my friend
Hey Masako, have you considered doing some JoJo what ifs to your channel alongside DB what ifs?
You this is something that just pop in my head while I was listening to you I know it's off topic but that dragon side granola would be the strongest asset when it comes to angels and gods of destruction so does that mean now he's stronger than jiren, Broly & Cumber if he was canon 💯🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Wait
The dragonballs in the dragonball series
Are becoming RELEVENT
I cant believe the powerful orbs that the anime and many are named after
Are relevent
I don't know if it's just me and my eyesight but i could not make sense of the thumbnail
4:45 after the term used on dbza...why not just call it the “reset button”?
what if Shin and Berus Fused. that could be scary
Yes the Dragon Balls are better used in Super than in Z, but GT honestly handle the Dragon Balls the best. No Cap
Wait Bulma does WHAT to stay looking young? Comes from the richest family on Earth, has PANCHY'S genes, but has to resort to magic alien dragon wishes to look good? Damn lol. Wonder how Tights stays looking as good then. Maybe she got Mama's special code
bulma never used the balls she saidf she wanted ot in borly movie not that she has befor
@@ssjgotenks2009 Yeah, I looked it up after, that makes more sense. Thanks though
But seriously though, in a video about the dragon balls being relevant or not, you speak of GT, and ignore that one arc where the balls were relevant the most?
The final GT arc, that had those 7 evil dragons?
Disappointing...
How did Porunga get so jacked anyway
Help. Didn´t Goku use Haki in the ToP?
SOMEONE REVIVE POOR KING KAI.
So if the strongest being in the universe has power level of X and then Granola wishes to be the strongest, is his power level just X+1?
Am I misremembering, weren't the Dragon Balls used to restore Goku's power so he could finish off Majon Buu? I am only bring this up because it wasn't mentioned and I thought it was one of the more creative uses for the Balls.
Plot twist: it will turn out that Whis is still stronger than Granola because he technically isn’t part of Universe 7 XD
whis is strogner then him they said he cant become strogner then gods so grnaola is weaker then beeurs and whis is strogner then beerus
Remember when Dragon Ball was supposed to end at the Freezer Saga?
Yeah look where we are now
No it wasn’t at all, it was probably suppose to end in the cell saga
it wasd never oin to end at fireza sgaa think about vegeta was stornger then piccolo if gokud ie on neamek with veeg bein eivl stel he wood kil ev oen no way wood they end it there
Oh yeah, I forgot about Dragon Balls being actually really powerful. I thought about them being just free revive cards. Quite ironic, that a show named Dragon Ball almost doesn't even try utilising the huge potential of an idea, such as Dragon Balls.
Talk to Akira about that
Thankfully it seems to improving in recent arcs.
I still want there to be consequences to using the Dragon Balls too much. Granolah’s wish is a step in the right direction, though
At least there is some sort of clause attached to it.
@@MasakoX Indeed
