Not 100% sure it was my jumper I wanted to get noticed, but I'll take it. Except I realise now that I placed the wireless microphone on it exactly where you would if it were a Star Trek communicator.
I tried that, thanks, and it just wouldn't work. It was like it was all being overwritten or countermanded each time. But since I made that, the app has been updated and the Shortcuts option is a little -- a little -- more prominently displayed.
Duck Season! Wabbit Season! App Season! {Sorry ... every time I've seen the video thumbnail, I've wanted to go enjoy a bunch of Warner Brothers cartoons!} I recently purchased both Hazel and Keyboard Maestro. I'm still coming to grips with KM, but Hazel absolutely sorted out my very large downloads folder. And yes - she's VERY quick!! I've been using Raycast for awhile now. I quite recommend it. There's a ton of other things it can do besides launch apps. I also like CleanMyMac - I use the SetApp version. I hope next year to start actively working on my own YT channel, but the price tag for Final Cut Pro is too steep at $500 AUD if I'm not sure if I can make a go of doing regular videos. Really nice new features though!
You doing a RUclips channel? Sign me up. And as much as I adore Final Cur Pro, I helped someone use the free iMovie to make some RUclips videos and was surprised how similar it was. If you have a Mac, an iPad or an iPhone you either already have iMovie or it is a free download from the App Store. So none of this waiting for next year.
I may finally purchase Final Cut Pro - especially as I have the educational discount and that is an amazing deal. Just wish it buying the desktop version also covered the iPad version.
I'm surprised there isn't a subscription bundle that covers both the Mac and the iPad versions, yes. But I envy you the education discount. If you go for it, would you let me know how you find Final Cut Pro? I've been asked to do a 58keys video just about it and I'm so keen I might just do it soon.
Will the base m4 MacBook Pro last for years if all I do is write, surf the internet, keep the A.I. turned off, and just use that apps the are already on there? I’ve read that MacBooks pros can last 7-10 years if you take care of them and don’t use it for heavy workloads. Would this be true with the base m4 MacBook Pro?
@ Do you know how to get the data in iMessages on the iPad to stop going up? I’m not even using it and the data keeps going up. Does this happen to you? I noticed it after the iPadOS 18 update. It happened before on my first gen iPad mini. I hope the Mac isn’t like this. I wish we could just delete the iMessage app.
@@Jay-dx9zp I'm afraid I don't know: I haven't noticed it happening to me and while I've looked around, I can't see a specific answer. Try Apple Support, I'm sure they must get this a lot.
@@WilliamGallagher it’s ok, it’s not going up. It just goes between 7.7 and 7.9. It doesn’t go any higher. I see other apps do that too. Then it changes after another update. But I know that if you backup your iPad on iCloud, the data in the iMessages app grows. I saw it happened on my last iPad.
58keys even better...when it's near perfection already...like the jersey...which I would not call a jersey here.

Great recommendations 👍
Thank you.
You might be able to change the keyboard shortcuts in the app by using Keyboard Shortcuts in macOS settings.

Nice sweater!
Jumper
Thank you. I think it sets off my eyes. Or the blue light on my wireless microphone, one or the other.

Easily. All Macs last a very long time and you don't need to limit the workload either.
