      There's a problem with calling the Ravens a newer team. It's actually the Cleveland browns that are a newer team. The Baltimore Ravens are the results of the Cleveland browns moving to Baltimore and becoming the Ravens in 1996 so actually the Cleveland browns are now a team that began in 1999. Just for some reason for the sake of confusion they decide to count the old Cleveland browns history to the new Cleveland browns history even though the Baltimore Ravens are the result of the old Cleveland browns moving to Baltimore which would mean that the Baltimore Ravens should have the old Cleveland browns history. Honestly if Cleveland really needed to have a team back I just wish they would have picked a different name so none of this confusion would happen

As a 49ers fan 2004 was incredibly bad, but I do think that the 1978 season was probably the worst in franchise history due to all of the chaos that was going on behind closed doors with GM Joe Thomas as the maestro. Even though the very next season under fist year head coach Bill Walsh was the same 2-14 record, the experience was miles better from all accounts. I honestly think 2016 Brady was the most dangerous he's ever been. He more to prove than he did since he was a young player, only in 2016 he had a far better skill set and experience. He was incredible in his 12 regular season games and found a way to win in the playoffs even if he didn't have the best games overall. I mean, the Pats D deserves insane credit for shutting out the explosive offense of the Falcons in the last 20 minutes of the game, but that entire team played with incredible poise, led by a Brady who was unphased by the score and played almost perfectly beside a few throws, most notably the one Edelman caught that should've been picked off by Alford. I don't think 2004 Brady would be able to compete physically or mentally at near the level of 2016 Brady, and with the supporting casts pretty equal, having an above average supporting offense and a top 10 defense, I can't see 04 Brady beating out his older self.

    I attribute the 2013 team’s struggles to the sudden uptick in the strength of schedule, and the fact that the team was weaker than their record would suggest the previous season. On average, they surprisingly outgained their opponents in terms of yardage. The primary issue was that their quarterbacks were turnover machines that season.

      True, but the Ravens have a couple of advantages that helped them. One is that they haven't been around long enough to eventually go through a "dark age" like most of these other teams. The other one is that they had the benefit of not having to start their roster over from scratch in their inaugural season. They just relocated the Browns and already had a team of professionals put together. Still impressive though that your "worst season" was 5-11.

    The 2017 season was honestly awesome, despite being pretty shitty for my Packers win the Rodgers injury and our 7-9 finish. Great playoff games, good story lines, even though Brady didn't deserve his MVP. And it was capped off with one of the greatest Superbowls, if not THE greatest, of the 21st century, where not only did Brady lose to give the Eagles there first win, but Nick Foles had one of the greatest runs ever as a backup. Just a great and fun season to watch. And no I'm not a Brady hater, I just won't ever root for him in the SB.

      @@jcore0981 Oh man you're so right, Jameis Winston should've won MVP in 2019 too. 5k yards in 16 games with a worse supporting cast than Brady. Damn it's almost like cumulative stats don't mean shit, especially when you have the most stacked offense in the NFL and throw the ball 40 times a game. Try again :/
      Edit: Brady had 32 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, hardly an MVP caliber season. His team was also stacked as shit so he really wasn't the most valuable to his team. Todd Gurley should've won for sure. He was the heart and soul of the Rams offense

    • @jcore0981
      @jcore0981 2 года назад

      @@hihunter7 I didn't say Brady should've won in 2021. And Brady also had 16 less fucking interceptions so that's a big fucking distinction. Just like Manning, people have a fucking hard on for giving them MVP's that they don't deserve. And just as cumulative stats don't matter NEITHER DOES PASSER RATING. Which is quite literally the ONLY reason he won. Cause he certainly didn't marvel with his stupid fucking diva drama and overhyped passes. At least Brady had 4000 yards in 2017 with a worst cast btw!!

    I don't get it to me if the season don't end in a winning a championship it can't be all that great how y'all going to pick a Cleveland Browns season that ended in John Elway getting his shine on but not Jim Brown in 1964 getting his shine on, hell, they got four chips to choose from. Yeah I know that was before they called it the Super Bowl so what they won a championship. None of this applies to the teams that have never won a championship.

    About that Steelers 1969 team... it was the first with the later-legendary Chuck Noll, and the final season before the AFL-NFL merger. Since the merger, the worst that the Steelers have ever gone was 5 wins, which occurred in the 1970 season, which meant 9 defeats, in the 14-game season of the time. The only other time the Steelers have had 5 wins post-merger was 1988, which garnered them the 7th overall pick that following draft.
