In my old good days, Deicide was the darkest brutal band I dared to listen, I meant, it was back in the 80s so you might perfectly understand what I mean..
Then many other bands were showing up until Death Metal became a little boring BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE BAND JUST OFFERED THE SAME AND THERE WERE TOO MANY OF THEM! ( every single genre went through the same at some point, starting with Thrash Metal) and many legend bands just vanished, however, others, like Deicide, kept making music and evolving, that precisely is the most relevant and remarkable about this band, Deicide evolved making its own music, following its own dark, brutal recipe, many people hated them, many assholes called them possers ( They never wore makeup.....just to say) and you can like it or dislike it, I just enjoy it and love to see how good its music has become, besides its brutal old formula, we have now great leads and melodic riffs in the guitars and Steve seems not to get older man.........he is fucking amazing.
Deicide is not that University technical metal band, Deicide is one of the Brutal Death Metal pioners and deserves lots of respect! and for those who haven't listened to their last 4 albums and call themselves Death Metal fans, I can only say that you have lost real Death Metal art pieces.
