"The View From The Hill" is a superb album....!!! The track " Troubadour" is such a happy tune to sing along to!!! Sang like an angel as usual.I love the old archive research on this video. Over the years the " Moodies" have written and performed perfectly. I wish that I was somewhere else right now. Patience, Karen...... I wish that I still had my copy of "The View From The Hill"..... xxXXxx.
,.. it's always good to discover something new or different from an icon like Justin Hayward. And this song is just such an excepition. I do believe that I'm hearing a touch of a Mark Knopfler tribute in this song ...
Absolutely BRILLIANT video!!!! What a wonderful job you did...you were able to capture The Moodies amazing and brilliant career in such a short time frame!! Thank You for sharing...!
Wow! What a Justin Hayward/Moody Blues photo collection you must have Lisa! Very nicely done tribute for one of the most underrated talents of our time! Very nicely done video. Keep up the great work..hope to see more! Now let's get these guys into their rightful place in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame!!!
Justin creates as troubadour with the best of 'em, from Medieval France onward. Love your photo tribute, Retrilisa! Awesome, sweet, strong, vibrant, solid song!
"WOW, LOVED THE 'TROUBADOUR ' VIDEO, A 'GREAT TRIBUTE, & LIKE A 'TIME CAPSULE '-" WAS LIKE WATCHING A TIME CAPSULE OF MY LIFE, "THE MOODIE'S, DOWN THROUGH THE 'YEAR'S "!!! DAY 👍👍👍😇😘😍🥰❤❤❤💙💙💙🎸🎸🎸🎼🎵🎶
We dreamed of them and they dreamed of us...the musical band land of the free. Those who left and those who stayed behind. English country. I have to say, the Moody's have got to be one of my favorite groups of all time! So much wisdom & truth in their lyrics. this is a wonderful visual documentary!
What a great piece of work. That must have taken ages to do.I'm a big Moody Blues fan but I didn't know that Justin was once in a group with Marty Wilde. Looking forward to Justin's new solo album "Spirits Of The Western Sky" out on the 26th February 2013. We play loads of Moody Blues at these internet radio stations easyrockparadise and oldiesparadise give them a listen.
Lisa you did a great job on this video. You told the entire story of Justin's career in a beautiful video to one of his most beautiful songs. Thanks you. I look forward to your next video.
In the garden of paradise, i heard a voice sing Can still feel the thrill of it, the chills it would bring Far away in the western sky, over the sea There's a land that we dream about, peaceful and free Waiting for me Hold my hand, let me take you there Let's go walking in the morning As time goes by, love will wash us clean Let love bring to us our freedom And we will sing of the heroes And fly on the breeze Love with the lovers of the world Oh oh oh... We'll be free
In the dark of the mystic night, music is born In the hands of the troubadour, the piper of dawn And it's heard of a foreign shore, over the sea In the land that we dream about, peaceful and free Waiting for me Hold my hand, let me take you there Let's go walking in the morning As time goes by, love will wash us clean Let love bring to us our freedom And we will sing of the heroes And fly on the breeze Love with the lovers of the world Oh oh oh... We'll be free
Justin has said he likes to work on songs in the late night/wee hours of the morning when it is still and quiet. He is singing about himself. He is the Troubadour, the piper of dawn.
TROUBADOUR : I was only a little boy when; heard the call Like a voice in the wilderness, that calls to us all So i took to the gipsy life, in the city of love And i walked with the troubadours And flew with the doves In the city of love
This is one of the songs I play over and over it is so great {as all their songs are} Thanks for this one the video is excellent.....................God I love these guys
.. and now I remember this song that is so reminiscent of the Allman Brothers at the end .. gorgeous guitar melodies, a duelling duet if you will, except there is no antagonist, only the listener to marvel at such joy

I have the original video of this song, Justin walking down the highstreet playing guitar, a great Justin Hayward solo performance, he and the Moodies had an illusterous career and is still ongoing..excellant interpretation in 6mns well done. 💗 you will have to add the hall of fame to this and his Ivor Novello awards for songwriting; is that in another video you've done since?
He is one of my idols. Very talented and creative musician. His musical work stands as one of the greatest in the history of rock´n roll.
