Going through puberty is like having your body taken over by some kind of zombie virus. Your face will break out. You'll start to smell weird. You'll be constantly exhausted. You'll grow hair in... places. Got the puberty blues? Here's the silver lining: The exact same thing is happening to everyone your age. Today, we're doing a slightly different WellCast. We're going to explore puberty in boys and puberty in girls. We'll explain what is actually happening in your body and, more importantly, mind, because right now you're probably feeling like someone else is working the gears.

I'm a boy at 11 years old and my underarms have gone into overdrive. I apply as much antiperspirant as I can each day and still it doesn't help. And plus I'm 5' 0 and about 1 week ago I was 4' 9. Even when I just run for a minute I'm a sweating maniac.😳😳😳😳

Thank you kind sir. Puberty is a hard time.. I mean from white sticky stuff to crazy sweating body! Then a bunch of hair! It sucks. Acne is the full package that ruins it ruins everything... I have like 5 pimples and it is not fun.

Wish I could watch this when I was 13-15. My family barely treated me as a person going through this so all the problems I was going through was not a big deal to them and nobody could give me a hint what to do with myself. So sad I've missed this lesson, it could help me a lot.
I feel lucky that i get to watch this and that it is less of taboo around my friends and fam.

i am 12 and before puberty i wqs runing and had a stamina like a maniac.Now even crouching feels painful sometimes.And for girls who complains about boobs hurtin.For guys "balls" starts to just like burn sometimes.My mood swings are just like for a girl i am happy and then something bad happens not a big deal I just cry a river.Oh and the voice cracking.When i scream that means one RIP èars.Once teacher said i need to sing a song alone.And i start and my voice is deep then it goes up in 3 secs everyone starts laughing at me 😣

Actually, scientifically, part of the distress of puberty is that the body is taking a lot of extra energy to focus on growing, whether in your physical body or even just having a construction zone in the process of the brain. That’s why compared to little kids, teenagers often need to eat more and sleep more. The more intense the growth spurt, the more energy needed, hence the moodiness, the crankiness and increased anxiety around it.

I think people overreact about the awkwardness of puberty. I mean is it awkward at times(I mean pimples and weird squeaky voices)? Yes but the rest is so awesome once you do finally go through puberty you barely remember the awkward parts and it's always okay to talk about it with your friends.

Well i am going through it and being super angry to every one sucks
it's weird for me to hear people say to younger people that they may be confused and scared and stuff, 'cos i never was. i wasn't even aware of my changes, i just noticed them randomly as time went on. whenever i noticed them, i thought "ah... cool" and then i carried on lol. it wasn't a confusing or scary experience, it was pretty chill for me.
