This just doesnt have the same energy as the other versions which make you want to charge across the field on a horse with a sword in your hand pointing towards the enemy.
The famous piece above, known as "Polyushka Polye", is a war march, that I imagine would be appropriate to sing when Soviet men are called to arms. As they leave their endless fields of rolling wheat down countless dirt roads, the women weep and the men consider their upcoming fate. The windy fields and open skies of Great Siberia at times betray a presence: The spirits of dead warriors from innumerable ages past howl and moan as they speed thru the land, their drive for the fight and for victory in battle unabaited, they linger... and are ever so momentarily perceptible to generations of soldiers to come... even as they, in the prime of their lives, walk headlong into the clutches of a future death in battle. This is the true meaning Lev Knipper and Viktor Gusev are trying to convey to you: the incredible cost of war.
It’s sad how a lot of people don’t even know what brought this song to existence. People just think this is just another beautiful song to add to there Tiktok video for useless junk Russians lost 25 million brave warriors and civilians to free the world from the Nazis. this song is Holy and paid with Russian blood.
Well, it seems that you don't exactly know much about this song. It was made long before WW II, in 1933, and no matter that I love Russia and its history, the SOVIETS lost 9 million brave soldiers to free the world of Nazis and 20 million civilians. So 9 million Soviet soldiers laid their lives, and the Soviet is not the same as Russian, there were many nations in the Soviet Union.
@@ozymandiasnullifidian5590 Indeed, THESE are WORLD'S HEROES! They aren't remembered enough, obviously, they all become forgotten one day or another...
what You dont remember tho that soviets first cooperated with nazis and took half of Poland sharing idea of ,,special operation'' called ,,blitz krieg'' to help nazis take down Poland. My grandmother who is stil alive (93) all my life was telling me that ppl was happy when nazis took polish land from soviets - according to her relations soviet army was animals. What most ppl dont talk about is that soviets was exterminating human beings in camps much more than nazis, raping, killing and stealing. After WW2 soviets was occupying Poland untill 90s.. RUSSIANS WAS ON THE NAZI SIDE OF WW2 untill betrayed! They did not free world, they invaded and later they was forced to defend themselves so they switched sides. Just like right now soviets are not freeing the world! They are invading Ukraine! I was born in 1980 - i remember how it was in my country untill 90s.. i was walking in marches with red flag in Poland as a kid. Russian ppl dont realize their history and what their leaders do with their army.
You are so right! Beautiful observation. It just accentuates the more sentimental, nostalgic and painfull side of the event. In full respect to the original. And maybe that way it is an expression of the change of time and the ripening of the soul in this vast, beautiful Russian Meadowland. Love your observation. (from Holland)

Came here because I've just learned red army in world history class😄Anyway, this song is great. I like the last part that the music gradually gets faster.
@@Leoxxxxx5 I hope that you know the atrocities that Nazis did in the Soviet Union, so they just give back just part of what was given to them. I can't blame them, any nation would do the same. Now cry me a river for some nazi scum, I am sooo sorry for them...

This is the first song I heard from Origa, I love all songs for almost 15 years. Thanks for sharing.
My favorite rendition of this song, may Origa live forever in our hearts.
جميل جدا والصوت مريح للغاية تحياتي من العراق
Hermoso y Magestuoso!! Grande URSS y mis Respetos para Rusia 🇷🇺🇷🇺
I love how she turned that victory driven military march into a soft, lamenting and somewhat disenchanted song...
No rendition of this song remotely comes close to this unparalleled gem, ever, period.
