What are the Side Effects and Problems with Tramadol?

Tramadol is indicated for moderate to severe pain. Because tramadol is a synthetic opiate or opiate agonist, it has all the same potential side effects and problems as other, stronger opiates such as Vicodin, Percocet and Oxycontin. Tramadol can cause dizziness, headache, constipation, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and sweating. You can become physically and mentally dependent on tramadol. You shouldn't generally take tramadol if you are taking other serotonin medications such as anti-depressants.

Also… tramadol has many drug interactions with many antibiotics … of which I’m finding out the hard way!

what happened to you my friend now I’m worried my doctor just prescribed me this pain medication and I’m on antibiotics but I don’t think she understands the implications of them both so I sent her a message on MyChart.

@@gatesroyale for my experience I am not joking (too many bad experiences to type here). For me, I always google, together, in one search box, all meds being prescribed to look for any bad interactions and I always triple check with the pharmacist at time of pick up. (…just 10 days ago an infectious disease doc prescribed Linezolid when knowing I take tramadol…).

I have duloxotine for my chronic pain (does fk all for me) but ye I wouldn't risk it tbh
