Abandoned: O'Charley's - Douglasville, GA

What's good, everyone?! Today's video is my final abandoned series video from my Summer 2023 trip to GA. The video features a first on my channel, as I have never filmed an abandoned O'Charley's restaurant. This location closed abruptly, with ZERO notice to the employees, sometime in 2023. While it is sad that the business is gone, it is even worse that the employees weren't previously notified about the location's closure. I was eager to film this location because it was a rare NEW building that I hadn't previously covered. O'Charley's as a company has closed approximately 31 locations since 2016, and in 2023 alone, closed another 15 locations, including this one. All of the 2023 closures were reportedly abrupt, just like this one. It is a shame that companies do this to their employees, whether it is the franchise owner or the company itself, which owns more than 75 locations in the U.S. Overall, this location made for a good video.
O'Charley's is a chain of American restaurants in the U.S. There are approximately 97 operating locations.

Acworth closed in 2023 as well, and the building stands furnished and maintained. The only remaining OCharley's around us are Austell, Hiram, and Canton, all too far to visit frequently. Acworth was a mile away, and we ate there every week. I don't understand why they closed seemingly successful restaurants in higher populated areas only to keep these three. They previously closed Marietta and Kennesaw, both in high traffic areas and seemingly doing well.

A bunch of them are closing. I think they’re going to be a thing of the past. There food is good but it’s nothing special. It’s a bit pricey.
