I have the LD Curvs 500, the version under these and they are fire 🔥. The Mauis are straight boss. Your points are all valid, high quality, modern looking and incredible sounding.
Bayardo, great review. I concur with you on every point. Very well made and engineered. I think I have owned mine for about a year... they blow me away every time I power them up... Cheers.
I just heard the LD Maui G2, evolve 50 & RCF EVOX12 side by side. The LD has the best sound, The Bass is warm and deeper compared to the RCF. The RCf tops sound great but it doesn't have the deep bass that i like. The evolve 50 overall sounds good for a 12" sub its a nice size package. The only down fall on the LD is the size. Its huge!!! I might still pick a pair up once they have bags available.
At this price you start to run into some stiff competition which would have me at least looking (and listening to) other options. Example: (2) Db Technologies IG3T's over (2) Db Technologies Sub 915's is about the same price and packs some serious, serious output (and clarity). One could argue the above mentioned db Tech system is a bit more flexible of a setup and can be used for small and large events - hence needing to own only one PA system (e.g. tops and subs can be used separately and in different combinations). Don't get me wrong the 44''s seem like great speakers and I certainly trust your assessment (thank you for the vid) - it's just the price has edged up into the territory where lions and tigers also live. Nonetheless enjoy them - as I know you will satisfy many customers with them, and in the end that's what it's all about.
@@MobilediscowirralCoUk They're ok. They don't go down super low, but they have very nice punch. And they aren't too heavy. Lighter than the Yamaha DXS15-XLF's. Not as light as the Maui's, tho.

Right now I am running 2 SRX815P's with 2 SRX828SP's.... The sound is great but setup and teardown time for a Solo Mobile DJ is really getting old. I have ordered 2 Maui 44 G2's and selling my 2 SRX815P's and 1 of my SRX828SP's. If anyone is near Atlanta Ga and wants some practically new SRX815P's and a SRX828SP let me know! Letting them go for way under what I paid! :)
I just checked the price. They are $2900 each or with tax you can expect to pay $6000 for a pair. That seems really steep. However they do get louder than most systems of this type at 132db. Also I can hear from the video that they have much more bass than the Evox. I use my array system for weddings and birthdays. The setup is much easier and it's so easy to pack this system up.
I got mine Ld Maui 44 G2 about month ago. Did about 6 gigs, the bigest one I had was 120 people and I think the speakers will easily handle 250 -300 people. Still waiting for the covers and bags I purchased together with the speakers. Love it 100%. Good video . Thx.
I'll take my Bose L1 pro32's with sub 2's all day long. Incredible sounding and easy to transport and carry up stairs with places without elevators. 7k for two, but my clients ears are worth it!
not gonna lie, i got goosebumps when the plastic was removed... hehe Barr and those in comments that said they have them, how do these compare as far as sound to the Evox 12?
I own one LD Maui 44, depending on what you chose for a track some of the tracks don't sound as good until you've pushed the levels up a lot, mainly the master volumes on the back.
I am afraid of the weight when you are a mobile DJ and you are alone, cant use the board, over stairs, on gras, on small rock ways, pull it into your car. And then when you need two of them, or is one enough? Any experiences with this themes?
I picked up a pair in december still waiting on my bags to come in on backorder, looking to get the separate subs later on this year, im glad i made this purchase i was gonna go with the evox 12 but that didnt fall thru and i think they are better sounding to me over the evox.
I love your videos... you are really great at doing them. So question for you DJ Barr... How would you compare these Maui 44 G2's to the BassBoss DV12 Mark II's? I know it's a completely different type of sound system, but I am curious of your thoughts on the quality of sound of one vs. the other. I'm leaning towards a purchase of two of the DV12 Mark II"s, but I view these Maui 44 G2's as perhaps a next best option that is slightly less expensive, but since you've reviewed both, I am curious of your thoughts on them in comparison to one another. Thanks again!
i have a question i just bought this system is the lower half speakers suppose to be not as loud as the top 6 speakers? because you cant really hear anything out of them until its loud but you can hear some from the back the speaker i thought all the 12 speaker should sound th same please get back to me if you can thanks Ted
