Congrats on your first event. Love your set up. Great job on the flowers. Wallace the worm is adorable. I know the sweet sadness you felt letting him go. I tear up sometimes saying goodbye to some of the bigger items I make. Love the bloopers at the end. Best of luck!
People don’t know how hard it is to put yourself out there showing your products, preparation and thoughts. I enjoyed the video, informative and real. Thanks!
Wallace was amazing, and I loved how he sat regally upon his throne... Also your cactuses turned out soooo good! Congratulations on your successful first market!
Omg love it, your setup was too cute! you did so great and had fun doing it that's what matters most! I hope the next markets you do are huge successes also and yay for selling WALLACE!!
I like your price signs. If you really want to dress them up you could put a pic of each type of flower next to it. Like a sticker or a little drawing. Also I like that you share how you did and how much you sold. Your opossums are really cute. I am so glad for you that you did so well at your first show.
I love the things you make, and your table layout was lovely! My first big fair I was put opposite another crocheter, and she makes those dragon shawls too! They're from Cottontail & Whiskers. I'm a year and a half into doing craft fairs, and I still second guess my prices. Square is a great tool to help track everything, but when things get busy/ when you have a little helper, it can get a bit much to tick off as you go.
Just subscribed to your channel! Beautiful job done!! Love your Strawberries...ive been doing a few myself ❤ love anything strawberry 💕❣️ thx for sharing !! Good luck with upcoming craft fairs 🤗
I love that you took us with you on the journey! I think you did fabulous for your first market! I love telling stories about my markets as well. Seeing the wonder and joy that crochet brings to people, even if they dont buy anything, is the best! You will get repeat customers ( I have had several come back and buy different color chickens and octos.) I laughed out loud when I saw the bites out of the fruit, it reminded me of my little girl and how she took bites out of Christmas ornaments which were cookie shaped. I still put them on my Christmas tree, little bite marks and all. I named my business Punkie Chunkie Creations because that was my daughter's knick name when she was little (who's 23 now), so I understand why you chose your company name! I look foreward to seeing you grow! Congrtats to you on your first maket!
Thanks for sharing your video. Your market setup looks great! Love the outfit. I appreciate you staying positive. I understand that doing a market, especially the first one, can be nerve-wracking, but you did great. Have a great day! ✌️🏻🤟🏻🧶
I really enjoyed this! Also your description of the music on the video as angels 😂 I really loved how you used so many things from around your house/secondhand for displays too! That’s one of the “scariest”/daunting aspects of trying to start all of this-looking unique and fitting the vibe/aesthetic but not going poor.
@CatCakeCrochet lol I am watching it right now but I'm making stew with my dad so trying to multitasking 😅 and tbh you inspire me to start a youtube channel and join a fair in my town 💕
@@PurpleMoonNight that’s amazing!!! You’re going to do great! I can’t wait to see what videos you put out and I hope you learn from my mistakes and your first market goes smoothly 😸
Congratulations on your first craft fair! Sounds like you did really well! As for being a little upset that you were put next to another crocheter, most craft fairs I do promise they won't do that so it's a ok to be a little upset about it. It's like any business. If there's an ice cream shop next to an ice cream shop it can hinder business for both ice cream shops. Most of us don't want to be directly next to our competition. You make beautiful things by the way
When I watch you I feel as though I'm watching ASMR and that's a huge compliment because I love asmr and I love watching and listening to your videos ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi, I’m a new subscriber and thoroughly enjoyed this video. ✨Your setup and items were magic! ✨ Glad you had a smashing day …. all the best for future markets. ✨ Love from UK👍🏻
Just found your channel! Love it!! I do local markets and I’m always looking for ideas to make my booth better. Thank you! By the way, love love love the peeks at your house behind you. The vintage and the colors…beautiful! Subscriber for sure!
Your setup was absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on a successful first market 🎉 The story behind your CatCake name is so cute 🥰 I swear kids know when we parents have a deadline to meet, that’s when they decide to be the most clingy and sleep-deprived 😭 I’m glad Wallace went to a good home ☺️
23:56 ❤ just love the color scheme - looks so super professional - because you totally are - I have a merchandising background too and yeah it’s harder by far to sell your own makes 😅😊 just a thought - maybe your poster could be similar color scheme? Terracotta/southwestern with the turquoise to stand out? Amazing 🎉🎉
omg so sad! I moved this year but lived 30 mins from chico before D: Just missed ya! Hopefully when im back visiting this year I can come visit your markets!
Congrats on your first market! You did great😊 One thing I would suggest is to try to not be so self deprecating ( 27:06 ) I had a long day at work & was so excited to watch your video and wind down! And then I heard that and it was quite triggering to me. You’re doing amazing, it would be lovely to hear that you think so too 💖 Much love!
I thought a lot before responding to this comment, because I am truly sorry that it was triggering for you. I hope other people can see that moment and relate to my frustration and anxiety about things not going exactly the way I wanted, those are very real feelings and I hoped others might find it relatable, although I am very sorry if it caused you distress, being self deprecating is definitely something I need to work on. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment
Don't apologize for your sign-it looked fine. For safety eyes, make a small swatch and put a safety eye on it. Then the people can see what it looks like and how secure it is.
I did this and brought it to my last market! I think it really helped, it’s something I don’t see recommended in market prep videos so I’m glad I made one
I am so sorry your sign turned out ugly. I completely feel you on the last minute sign disasters. I usually do cool drawings on my larger chalkboard sign and one day I messed it up and erased half of it only to realize I didn't actually bring my chalk markers... so NONE of my chalk signs were accurate 😭 Honestly I think it ONLY matters to us. I doubt customers notice or care haha.
@@CatCakeCrochet I had a market on Saturday and I lost my markers again. I literally saw them four different times last week. && we are definitely our own worst critics but you have such great style so I am excited to see how you redesign the sign!
Reacting negatively to having another crocheter for your first show is absolutely understandable. That is poor planning. I would gently give feedback to the event coordinator. They may think that grouping like with lime is a good idea when it's really not.
Ive found that markets I do with 20+ vendors almost ALWAYS have 1 other crocheter. The best way to combat the competition is to have items outside the normal youtuber market crochet items with a niche. Mine is weird spooky vibes and horror characters. Just stand out with your items

How did you price the coasters? Did people buy one or more? Did they mind that there were different colors? I plan on selling them but I got so worried because my husband said people would want 4 of the same😅 (first market soon aaah😂)
I priced them make your own set of 4 for $12 (which I think is too low, I think they should be at least $4 a piece) But no one bought any! I thought people would like to choose their own colors but I think if they don’t sell at my next market I’m going to try packaging them in groups of 4 with a paper band. I also didn’t have a good sign for them, I need to make one that says “cotton coasters” so people know they’re absorbent. Maybe people do want 4 of the same?? I like the different colors but my taste is definitely not always what everyone else likes 🤪. Good luck on your first market! 🤞
Thank you for the advice and inspiration. I was going to price them €12 for 4 of them. They work up quickly in the bus/train. I think I will pack them together I have some jute cord I can use😊@@CatCakeCrochet

Her beautiful dragon shawls were only $40 😭 I’m sure they took hours to do!!
Is that a pee wee herman doll in the background?! it is amazing
Yes! I have 6 peewee dolls! He was my favorite as a child, my daughter likes to play with them 😄

lol! Great idea!
I don’t use safety eyes on my plushies. I needle felt them or use felt/vinyl eyes.
