Hey girl! I recently weaned my toddler at 20mo. I strategically dropped 1 feed at a time every few weeks until there were none left. When she woke up from a nap or in the morning, I would greet her with a pouch and drink instead of the boob. If she woke up in the middle of the night I would send in my husband. After a couple of days, she just stopped waking up. You can do it! Just make a plan and stick to it. Some of my mom friends with super persistent toddlers put bandaids on their chest and said it was broken. 😂
New subscriber here, girl don't worry to much on your next market having more crochet artists, I think all of you guys could benefit off of each other, like how cows sell fast could just be where each shop takes turns selling out of them. (Or maybe I just want to believe that the crochet community could be like this) ❤ Thank you for the video.
Thank you for watching! Connecting with the community has been such a blessing in disguise and is changing my life in more ways than one, your comment made my night😊
I feel like every event I go to now always has multiple crochet plushy vendors. You are good in the sense that you have lots of one of a kind items to keep my booth unique I also like to make a bunch of little cheaper price items for those who may see a crochet vendor before you and have bought something from them already they will be more willing to buy a small plushy rather than a large one because they already purchased somewhere else
Yes great advice! This is my first show in my home city so I think a lot of family will go and they haven’t seen my setup yet in person.. including my husband and kids! But they see it at home everyday
The swatches are a great idea!! Also, 18 months and still nursing is not a big deal at all. "The American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization also recommend exclusive breastfeeding for about the first 6 months with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods for up to 2 years of age or older." This coming from the CDC. I have watched specific 'weening toddlers' videos on RUclips. I have a toddler and an older child.
Congratulations! Completely relate on the kids! For the swatches just put them on a chain loop !! You know like how they do paint samples ! That is a great idea btw I might need to do it ! I agree it’s hard to pick colors and textures online!
Yes I was thinking about that too, I just need a system to show how variegated yarn works up in sc rounds like how all the plushies are made so that I was leaving towards swatches. Still working out the kinks but I will have something made hopefully for my next show 🙏🏼
No advice on weaning. I nursed my last one till she was 3 n half. I would have cut it off sooner but it was hard Omg I didn’t think we would ever stop nursing
Yes, it’s been so hard, I’ve tried cutting off for two nights in a row and he literally cried for two hours. Did not want anything to do with my husband. And as soon as I just gave and nursed him, he fell asleep within two minutes.
Hi! My tags say “Choking Hazard: This item is made with plastic safety eyes. Check for damage before each use. Adult supervision advised for children under the age of 3”
I take the total weight of finished product in grams and split 55% yarn in grams and 45% in polyfil. That was the average I found after weighing out actually plushies I’ve made. Then for example take your full skein of Bernat Blanket at $11.99 and divide by full skein in grams (300g) which comes out to be around $0.04 per gram. Then multiply your yarn grams x price per gram in your skein and you get total $ spent in yarn. Example: Bernat Blanket Mabel Chicken-70g total product weight (rounded up 39g yarn/31g polyfil) $0.04x39g yarn= $1.56 in yarn used

Did she show any sign of self weaning at that age? Thank you for the advice.

I’m not ballsy enough to post up outside my house to do a mock setup but props to you!!!
You know I had that BELL NOTIFICATION ON 🏃♀️💨
Congratulations. Happy Mother’s Day!😊😊😊

You should buy a large keyring and tie the sample colors on it. Put a tag on the yarn before you tie it that has the colorway.
I’m so happy you did well at this market ❤️😊

No advice on weaning cause I nursed my son til he was almost 3 🫣 He's a twin and yes, I was so tired all the time I didn't care 😂
I think I’m going to chalk it up to self weaning at this point but I got bit yesterday so that’s been no fun, thanks for watching! ❤️❤️

How do you calculate how much yarn you spent?
I take the total weight of finished product in grams and split 55% yarn in grams and 45% in polyfil. That was the average I found after weighing out actually plushies I’ve made.
