    Awh Quinn this video feels like hanging out with a friend. I wish we lived closer and we could totally be crochet, thrifting, and plant buddies! I am fascinated that you crochet the "opposite" way. I don't think there actually is a wrong or right way to crochet either. I said that in my hot takes video and I stand by it!

    Hi, I am a new subbie! I do markets too, I started last fall! I think the sign would be cool to show case your logo and socials and all your QR codes (could be decaled or decoupaged]. You could make it into a chalk board sign and advertise where your next craft market will be etc. Also making it into a peg board. Dollar tree sells plastic geg board hooks but also you can get some at a hardware store too! Hight is an awesome thing for tables, to grab someone's attention. I hope some of these idea will help.

      @CatCakeCrochet I say that they have been 50/50. I am still trying to find the right markets to sign up for. Some have been duds but I had enjoyed attending. I love talking to people and my fellow vendors. It's fun to chat and compare notes. Also with every market it's a little bit different and I learn new things.

    Hello! New here on the recommendation from Stacy Makes. I am so glad I found your channel. I had purchased 3 different Pawgsley Place pattern packs on super sale a little bit ago and had not made any of them yet. I am just market prepping for my first market and stocking up on smallish items to sell. I watched your review of them first and then wanted to see your thrifted items so I landed here. Those little animals are so stinkin cute! I think I will follow your lead now and just work my way through each pack. I also just saved the free bird pattern on instagram. This video was SOOO helpful to this newbie! Love your style and quirkyness (*compliment 😊). I will now proceed to create farm animals while binge watching the rest of your videos!

    Recently found you. Looking forward to your future content. As a mother to 8, mostly now grown, I know the effort it takes to find the time and make the effort for a hobby/side hustle/job outside of the home. You purchased a hand towel holder and I think your idea for repurpose is a great one. Goodwill is a for profit business that makes money on the items folks donate. They do donate profits to "goodwill" however it is very small. The name is very deceiving. I do not know if I would have been able to not smoosh that spider! So kudos to you. Can't keep a plant alive so I have the same issue with spare pots. Thanks for sharing your pattern reviews. Always looking for a quality, quick workup.

    So fun- when you responded to my comment about how long it takes me to assemble flowers- I was watching you while assembling lavenders 😂. I am totally going to try your suggestion of thicker stems, thank you! Also-I always think highly of someone who mispronounces a word because that means they either learned it from reading or as a second language. Check out the picture book by Scott Jordan I Talk Like a River, as a teacher librarian I would read it to the kids to talk about speech impediments. It’s a lovely book.

    • @CatCakeCrochet
      @CatCakeCrochet  9 месяцев назад

      I know I’m late but I just saw this comment and wow! That is so interesting about the mispronunciation, it makes me feel so much better about this time I had to read passage from Metamorphosis in front of my AP English class, and I pronounced the word melancholy as MEL-LANCH-OLY and got laughed at by the entire class 😂🥲
      I hope your flowers are going well, I love lavender and they’re one of the easier ones I can do while watching TV. Do you do a long ch and then ch 7 slip st or do you do the long ch and then hdc and a 3ch picot? I go back and forth, I think maybe the hdc method is faster but I’ve never timed myself.
      Or maybe you do another way I don’t know about yet!

    Did you find something to do with the tall foldable door yet? If not, you could put boards in and make some shelves. Then still put your name at the top. Put it on the table so people can see from farther away. Grabs their attention and pulls them in!

      Right handed people usually crochet from right to left and counterclockwise in the round as you look at a flat piece of work. Left hand dominant people crochet left to right and therefore clockwise in the round.

  • @SoniaB

    In the comments to try and understand more about how the direction you crochet in affects the end result 👀
    For the record I am counter clockwise and have never heard of this being a 'thing' nor can understand why it might be considered to be not a good thing 😅

    • @CatCakeCrochet
      @CatCakeCrochet  10 месяцев назад +1

      It’s not super noticeable, but when you’re doing amigurumi the stitches come out like V shaped when crocheted clockwise, and I had just seen someone get torn to shreds on a Facebook group when they asked how much they sell something for and a lot of the comments said “well, you shouldn’t sell for a lot because you crocheted it inside out.”
      If you crochet counterclockwise, you just have to flip your work inside out for it to have the V’s 🫤 I don’t think it’s a huge difference, but some people do say that if it has the V’s on the outside, it makes a softer stuffed animal

    • @SoniaB
      @SoniaB 10 месяцев назад

      @@CatCakeCrochet Ah,so a visual preference,but also it may be a softer plushie. Thank you so much for the explanation! 🤗
