The Hardest VR Game Ever Made - Bartender Simulator VR
HTML-код

- VR games and simulator games go together like cranberry juice and bitters. Or something like that. Being a bartender in VR is impossible. This game is barely a game, it's a job. It's fun, and it's a well made VR game, but it's so hard. I have failed every drink at least 10 times. All because of a meme I saw. Which is apparently the story with everyone because this game is on Steam's top selling VR games list. So hopefully my ineptitude was entertaining but other than that, that's all I got here.

To play this game not only do you need to have a really good memory, but you also apparently need to understand the concept of 4 dimensional limes
you forgot one thing
a t o m i c m i r r o r b r a i n
I just mess around in free roam
I feel like this game could use a "casual mode" where it just always says what to do for each drink. This looks like a super fun game but idk if I would want to play it
apparently it's very accurate to actual bartending and i think that's all its meant to be
if there was an easy mode, this would no longer be the dark souls of vr simulators!
I will gift you this on steam and force you to play it
Also hi
Should give us a freepplay mode where you can just mix anything you want.
@@NaeveSnowsTavern oh yeah, do it!
I bartend a couple times a month in a student dorm, we have roughly 200 guests a night and it is pretty stressful. Giving out Beer and Longdrinks goes fairly quickly but the moment someone orders a cocktail my brain goes "oh shit why did I get this customer". Since most of us don't have much experience we simply printed out the most common drink recipes and hung em up and after a while you just know what to do. This honestly looks really realistic, although different type of equipment exists that makes the job easier. The only thing missing from this is the customer interaction but I guess VA-11 Hall-A exists for that.
E X T R A K A R M O T R I N E
Time to mix drink and chance lives...
Optional karmotrine = fill the rest of the shaker with it
As someone who gets cocktails this is honestly why I usually just go with a gin and tonic. Simple 2-3 recipe cocktails can be fantastic, and usually don’t stress the bartender as much as a sex on the beach or a gin fizz or a hurricane.
@@metronicmagician1816 as someone who works in clubs I kinda got this figured out by now
big places = get the simplest stuff possible. If you want to get wasted get one that only has alcohol in it that everyone orders (here in Italy it's the Negroni: campari, gin, vermouth in equal parts.) if you want to be happy get a simple 2 parts drink, like Vodka Lemon, Gin Tonic, Screwdriver, or if you're a degenerate that needs a heart attack, vodka redbull.
Small refined places = expect to order a good cocktail and actually GET a good cocktail
if you order something complex in a big place best case scenario they say "no" worst case they rush it with the cheap alcohol they get issued and you just get garbage
This seems to be an interesting overdose simulator. Hopefully they add a stomach pumping DLC.
🤨🤨🤨
I work as a bartender in a cocktail lounge and I've made around 10 to 15 mojitos today, that recipe is accurate. Honestly it isn't that hard to memorise when you make them constantly.
"What's a dash?" It varies depending on how polite the customer is
I work in a high volume craft bar, I think I’d struggle with this because my order of operations is so much different than theirs 😂
That compliantly defeated “gimme a hint” made me chortle.
habie never fails to give me a chortle
I loved this one game where you are a dwarven bartender and it’s extremely simple. Always wanted to do more of it, and now I can. It’s called tap house vr.
That one was fun! I played it for a few hours then never again haha
They need to add multiplayer so I can be a customer at the other side of the bar drunkenly shouting "BARTENDER HERE.. ME.. I'LL HAVE A WHISKEY.." and aggressively waving $20.
So I guess an actual bartender would... Actually do well at this game?
I have been a bartender for 10 years and I know I'm a good ass bartender. I'd love to play this dude, but I've never counted in ml just ounces
@@KenzieSto There’s probably a setting for that, gonna show this to my French friend who bartends lol
@@KenzieSto an ounce os roughly 30ml. Hopefully that helps
works as a bartender full day
comes home
fun time!
works as a bartender ingame
@@theredbluecaptain2742 Its not that bad tbf. i work in retail and i find job sim more enjoyable than my actual job lmao
Props to you habie for continuing to stick to a weekly video essay schedule about the cool shit you experienced in vr over the past week. May it continue to be fun for you 😊
I had an idea for a VR bartending game a while back. Of course I have no dev experience so it remained an idea. This is pretty much it on the technical side, though it seems a bit unforgiving in the gameplay.
In my imaginary version you'd be scored based on speed, accuracy and style/tricks. I think it'd make for a fun multiplayer challenge.
This sounds a bit like the game Startenders
@@Moolassy I wouldn’t be surprised if the concept has been done. I even came up with the name VRtender only to see that someone was using it for their VR bartender game and this was 5 years ago
I'd love a mmo vr game where fighting is not the focus and its more about jobs, like the higher quality drink you make the higher the positive effects for the person who drinks it and the positive effects help them do there job better
@@ironminer93 that would not sell at all lmfao.
@@woodsy.2977 It would
Isn't there an MMO that is basically this? I'm pretty sure there is
@@chrishavill6458 That's called life lmao
@@Eddie_of_the_A_Is_A_Gang omg just crawled out of my moms locked basement closet and the graphics are great! So tedius tho and the lower level jobs are impossible to survive in, its the dark souls of simulator games, the community is toxic as fuck too and higher level players always troll the shit out of lower level players, 3/10 if it gets a patch to fix how unbalenced it is and the random starting stats then it'd be great, also if the players were not so self-centered and built there system on group needs rather then personal greed and there are WAAAY to many players this game kinda fucking sucks but at the same time the graphics and physics are so great, although the main. part of the game sucks all the side activities are so fun like learning the lore (although shoving all the lore and gameplay mechanics you could have found out on your own in your face ay the tutorial gave me a million headaches, the tutorial lowers your stats and doesn't teach you how to play at all) user generated quests are fun when they are not forced upon you too unless they are serius (the game is at its worse when it is serius) unfortunatly you can not leave the game, create a second character or respawn but hey, that's life
As a professional bartender, my day to day is basically this video
I guess im more dedicated to the Cult of Habie than I expected.
It’s not an addiction I swear
Whaaaaasst
It’s like drugs but cooler
its not like we are counting down the seconds intill the next upload
@@Handle4564 Who would do that hahahah ha ... Ha
Yes
As a man who worked years in pubs, clubs for scrubs I'm really curious how the VR version of this feels
“You need to remember how to make the drinks”
Me who makes drinks at home: “I see this as an absolute win!”
"we have to pay people to bartend" It requires more focus than you'd think. It's all the difficulties you experienced, while engaging drunk people in a patient and friendly manner, no matter what.
It’s been a long week. Some days you sit down, sip a tall Coo Ba Lee Bray, and wonder what’s it all for? Then you get that ping. That one RUclips ping. Noon on a Saturday. I rapidly skip to 06:22 and it’s there. I’ve made the big screen. This is what it’s all for.
A "Coo Ba Lee Bray" lmfao
@@habie147 “Welcome to Watchmojo’s Top Ten Reasons not to Coo Ba Yourself: Number 10 - Habie”
I've been training for bartending the past few weeks and this video gave me existential dread
I was an actual bartender and I've got a few on my page of this game from a while back (when I was bartending)
Feel free to check it out if you are interested in seeing one us do it. Cheers yall.
That was more interesting to watch then I expected, went back to your first video as I figure you would get better at the game the more you played. It's fascinating how we automate processes, knowing the drinks is one think but its obvious that the process is second nature to you, weird seeing it from first person. I'm guessing some of the failures were from different ways to make a drink since there are plenty of drinks that don't have one standard recipe?
@@qazwer001 a lot of the fails are from process as well.
Such as making your drink in the shaker, before you've salted the rim of a margarita glass.
Then if course pouring 50ml instead of 20ml in a recipe or adding mint leaves BEFORE you muddle limes ect.
It's very specific but super fun.
"Who can memorize all of this?!"
*me immediately pulling up a mental list of every ingredient in these drinks*
...oh shit, I'm an alcoholic.
Hahaha yeah I work at a cocktail bar and this is definitely what the first couple of days of a new menu feels like every time.
Worst part is these are easy cocktails I know by heart.
One cocktail we make has three ingredients we need to preemptively make before the day starts and take 10 minutes each on average.
I made all 3 and then the drink in 10 minutes.
Now I don't want to give ingredients away since it's a house cocktail but one is freshly made Grenadine.
So yeah as a cocktail bartender memorization is life.
I honestly like this game a lot, if you’re good at bartending this game becomes even better trying make them fast af and actually expect you to know things. I like this it’s definitely not for everyone, you actually have to work and practice, but dont give up it gets a lot more fun when you progress and you feel a rush after.
This game seems like a fun but challenging experience, I'm definetly gonna buy it!
One of my fave habie things is to count how many mirror brains there are. I like seeing it increase....make more......MORE!
now you can experience the "back of the house meltdown" in VR...
sob into your virtual napkins.
I've been considering the option to moonlight as a bartender just for the fun of it, and this game is exactly what I need. I'm so glad I follow your channel, I wouldve totally missed this.
I find it interesting that that same Devs made Zombie Bar VR 3 years later, it's like they realized the concept was fun but it needed to be more arcady to be more like a game and less like training software (and it worked, Zombie Bar it's a great game)
No way they remade a flash game classic in vr!
Gotta play it once im back home
Now all it needs is a 16 ton slab of metal falling out of the sky on the bartender lmao.
The atomic mirror brains is my favorite segment of every video, I never skip it
Habie I can say that I have used your videos to eat my food on Saturday for at least 5 Saturdays in a row now, it's tradition.
I'm not going to lie, with only 4 months of experience as a bartender, when you were pouring, I felt physical pain from you doing a terribly rendered long pour. The liquor would be a much better stream than that IRL. If that was a thing in the game, I honestly would have set up my VR kit again, and bought the game. Sadly, that is a bit of a deal breaker for me. It looks like a really great game that someone could learn how to bartend in, but it would have to be programable for any class to use it, on top of making the streams more consistent. Other than some of the gripes I have with the game itself, this was a very enjoyable video. I'm glad you found an appreciation for the people that practice the craft of Mixology. 😎
I work in clubs and events, Mojitos are pre-arranged when available (there's a bunch of pre-pounded glasses) otherwise they just say "no" to all drinks that require that amount of processing lol
Memorizing a mojito made me laugh. My first cocktail bar job I was given 12 to learn (to start), and then let loose on the bar. Nothing more stressful than someone asking for three different cocktails on your first night, then watching you anxiously as you go to check what the fuck you have to do to make their drinks.
With this and bar fight simulator all we need is hospital patient simulator
YOU POST THIS THE DAY I GO FOR TRAINING FOR BARTENDING.
As a bartender I love seeing people realize oh bartending is a lot more than smiling and polishing glances 😂
finally, all my Space Station 13 skill can be put to use with all my Blade and Sorcery skill
This is secretly the best comment.
I played it in psvr it took me a while but my memory got better and then that happened with the next level but after 2 years of not playing going back to playing it I still remember all the drinks and have been a certified bartender at 14
My favorite way to play is actually making drinks for myself and my friends 😂 my bit of advice habie learning drinks is easier done than played get a drink recipe app and a couple of friends go shopping pick up some supplies (make a list of drinks you guys like and that have overlap) and just do a stream together or something fun with do vr bartender while bartending
I was at the steam and I can confirm the struggle was REAL
For me this game will always be a very angry Irishman shouting "THEY'RE ALL THE FECKING SAME" at ice cubes.
As a bartender... I appreciate the acknowledgments of how difficult it can be to execute a drink properly... don't hear that often... lol I'm Cuba myself 😅
Also ... the drink wasn't complete without placing napkin down 😅
This is such a bizarre channel in terms that i think after every video of a new game i always leave none the wiser in terms if i wanna buy it or not. Its just something nice to watch while eating and watch habie delve deeper into the vr spiral. Great stuff.
happy 1 year anniversary to this amazing video
4:10 I feel you. I'm still trying to remember whether I'm 22 or 23.
Can't beat yourself up too much, after all, there is such a thing as "bartender School"
The atomic mirror brain section is my favorite part ngl
Now I can get watch drunk people hit on eachother in the wonderful world of VR
Thing that's missing are customers waiting for you to make the drink. Then another customer snapping their fingers to get your attention while you're clearly making someone else's drink. Then someone asking what you recommend while a larger line forms. Then accidentally breaking glass in the ice and having to burn the ice to replace it with new ice. Oh oh customers asking you to make drinks they got at that one bar they can't remember but hoping you would.
I remember playing this game in 2018 I never Thought it'd be popular
i’m low-key really good at this game LOL I can remember every drink, but sometimes it glitches and says you get them wrong even when they arent. Legit for a spritz, I put ice into the correct glass and it tells at me lmao
Immediately reminded me of my favorite flash game as a kid, called The Right Mix. Really it is just a dream come true.
well i guess im going to have to take notes to play this game
You should try Startenders, it's a bartender simulator, but in the vibe of Overcooked : fast-paced and way easier than acctualy being a bartender, perfect for the casual snoothbrain
dude you make me crack up every video, you’re hilarious
Habie makes my day better
these whole simulators would make great minigames in a larger campaign setting, but otherwise its funny for a couple hours then you never touch it again. ah well
Mojito tip(irl): slap ya mint lives. Makes em nice and aromatic and adds more flavor to the drink
Just fyi, you're supposed to muddle the mint leaves in with the lime and sugar for the mojito.
I bartended for many years in NYC. We once did a Bacardi party at a place I worked at. I literally made at least 400 mojitos in about 4 hours. No bullshit.
This game seems fun
This game is alright but man is it stricter than in the field. When making drinks sure you have to remember a lot and you simplify steps but I have never seen a place serve drinks like this one does expecting perfect accuracy.
Everyone who drinks at a bar and orders mojitos needs to play this game
There’s a fun version of this game called Taphouse VR. You’re bartending in a tavern full of fantasy dwarves, and they can start fighting if you get their orders wrong.
I swear your looking at all the vr games in my wishlist and making vids about them
I will watch any video you make your the best RUclipsr evr
The names, they are getting better.
Just got back from a 4-day hike in the middle of the dessert to a Habie video, illuminati confirmed, thanks for making my day!
I don't need a game to tell me how to make a cuba libre. 2 ounces of 151 proof everclear, 12 ounces of coke. No bartender would ever serve this as a cuba libre and this is why I drink at home.
cant wait for this to get modded into boneworks
This is how I feel about games like trucker simulator, or the forklift simulator game. WHY. When I was a highway trucker, the LAST THING I wanted to do after a 11 hour day of driving was to do MORE DRIVING. Gah, worst job in the universe.
Truck simulator is fun
“simulators are so unrealistic”
this game: wanna bet?
kinda dope way to learn how to make drinks
You should make me my favorite drink, Long Island ice tea.
Getting this to actually learn how to bartend lol
Haha nice pun at 0:42
I don’t think it was intentional, but Mr. habie147 says make drinks ‘pour’ly - as in poorly and he is pouring drinks
The game is good if you're familiar with a bar but wanted to learn more. The problem is that the game forces you to move from quite a distance and there's no teleport, so if you don't have the space (a LOT) don't buy, at least wait for an update.
MIRROR BRAINS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VIDEO! YAY
Keeping me up at 2 in the morning.
The rooftop bar on PSVR doesn’t actually give you martini glasses
I actually don't get paid to bartend. It's all tips. We make $2.50 an hour and it all goes to taxes.
"Give me a drink, bartender..."
First. Vodka in half life alyx. Now, moving ice cub physics
I am so incredibly hungover. Thank you for helping me stay aware that I’m still breathing
I just realized the atomic mirror brains pay $99.99 a month for nothing more than shaming every video
I now understand habie’s confusion.
Thank you for another video
I've never heard anyone pronounce "sugar" the same way, love it
glad you are invading my brain with these videos. thank you
Mix drinks and change lifes
I launched Skyrim when you started shaming the Atomic Mirror Brains.
Tall glass
4 lime
20ml sugar syrup
muddle
10 mint leaves
crushed ice
40ml white rum
30ml soda
stir
crushed ice
2 long straws
another mint
My cousin/roommate is a Bar AGM at a nightclub. Bout to get this and have him play lol
I like to lick 9 volt batteries while I watch your videos, feels all tingly.
As someone who used to be a bartender, this made me exhale through my nose more violent and frequent than normal.
This is why the bar line is so long at the club...
Glad you uploaded today habbie. Got rejected from the air force so I'm not too happt about waiting another year for that.
Reminds me of the Eric Andre skit where he acts like a bartender
This game should get a note that you can write the ingredients on ingame
I work in a bar and I’d play this in my free time
Ur awesome man thanks for the content
