+Roman DiFranco If you youtube "Milan Christopher Ballroom" there's an interview on the ballroom throwbacks page where he ain't no where near masculine
Awe I really feel bad that some of you took my statement completely out of context about the representatives of the Lgbt community that is presently displayed on television. It's saddens me that anyone will think that I feel masculinity is better then fem or if anyone feels vice versa. I love all of same sex loving individuals. my point was simply that there is not a broad representation entertainment.. We all are different and all be celebrated. Anyhow love you guys and had a great time on the show!
Thanks for this interview-I never write in the comments section, but wanted you to know that there are many of us who are so grateful for your voice and the point of view that you bring. Best to you on the journey, wherever it may take you.
I didn't take it the wrong way. I knew exactly where you were coming from and saying. It's true. Gays are stereotyped. The ones you usually see and hear/know about are of one taste. But there is a range of different kinds of Gays. Some more fem. some more masc. and some in between.
+MilanChristopherTV ....... I'm going to try and give you the benefit of the doubt regarding your comment, cos clearly you wouldn't appear on Hey Qween if you had a problem with feminine gays. HOWEVER, you must understand that because of the constant and daily abuse that our community suffers from the homophobic mainstream, we must not promote the concept of fem is wrong and masc is right. You won't change a single bigoted view by conforming. The truth is, you're gay... and along with all of us will continue to be labeled as girly, inferior, pink sissies... regardless if you think gay masculinity needs to be promoted or if you rock a hip hop shirt. We ALL deserve respect whether you're fem, butch, trans, buff, skinny, black or white.... We're stronger if we stick together and support one other x
Milan Christopher is the most handsome, well spoken, intelligent, stylish, transparent person and his smile is EVERYTHING!!!! I never seen him in person (but on tv)I wish I could meet him In person however but till then ,..
I mean I watch Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, but like Milan is just so boring. Also, I never in my life have seen such internalized homophobia. We were raised in the CHICAGO BALL SCENE but have something against a feminine boy? UHH REWIND GURT WHAT?
I understand what Milan was saying. Not every gay/bi is feminine & it seems that every time a gay/bi guy is portrayed he has to be overly fem. I can appreciate fem men (this show or Rupaul's Drag Race for instance are highly entertaining), but every gay/bi guy isn't fem. Masc gay/bi need to be portrayed as well (even though L&HHH is a pretty ratchet show & Milan isn't what I'd call a "masculine guy", he's merely not overly fem. And he's just playing a role for the media, in order to garner fame & fortune). Even though I don't care too much for Ray-J he's still a fairly accomplished celebrity (he's evolved to being more than merely "Brandy's brother"). So Milan is crazy to think anyone is going to pay him "Ray J money" when he's only known for being on a few seasons of L&HHH. Right now he's basically as relevant as Karamo was after his season of RW 1st aired.
+mj You've probably met a lot of masculine gay guys who aren't out. I think that's what he means. You usually can only tell someone is gay because they're effeminate.
But the gurls know what Mother Milan is all about. TRUST!!! She was in the ballroom scene for MANY years. I'm surprised the gurls haven't spilled tea yet on her.
I applaud Jonny for putting him on the show, these comments alone show how different POC gay culture is compared to white gay culture. White privilege is real in the gay lifestyle just like str8 society and the other BS POC have to deal with in this culture. He talking from a gay black male perspective about how every black gay male they show on TV is either holding a bag, throwing glitter & stuff everywhere, doing hair and making a spectacle of themselves. Why can't there be more representation of gay life on TV. That's the question that should be addressed, but alot of the white gurls wanna get in their feelings. It's alot of shit we all need to address that doesn't get addressed but we see it in everyday life all the time. smh
+Aseop There is nothing "white privilege" about this shit. He's being called out by other black queens who know him from walking fem categories in balls and pretending he's masc now.
LOL are you in the ballroom scene? I was and I know all his tea when he was Mother Blahnik vogueing fem u mean before he was walking other categories. He's a butch queen everyone can see that but he was talking about representation on TV that was spot on. Do u even know what a butch queen is?! LOL If your gonna use the lingo make sure you know the meaning of it. Like when white queens say "Fierce" that doesn't mean good it means you look a horrid azz mess or ur a fucked up person. It's never meant for good. Alot of words being misused on TV in gay culture right now. Also if you read my comment I talked about the division in white & black gay culture due to racism & white privilege going off of the majority of the white girls being so bothered by what he said in these comments alone & on other Drag Queens of color on Rupaul's Dragrace. A hit dog will holler every time I guess. smh Woof Woof.
Aseop DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT BUTCH QUEEN IS? It's when they physically try to look masc but still act very fem. He literally said he acted masc when he's so fem in mannerisms.
LMAO that's what I just told ur dumb ass but I see reading is fundamental for you. There is no "try" to look masculine, you either do or you don't. Butch queens are the inbetween meaning they look, sound & act masculine but kiki around there friends from time to time. You must be a young queen or hag. Go learn ur culture hun good day!!
+Dylan Sanchez The irony is that he's been a legendary vogue fem in the ballroom scene long before he ever got on TV, so he's the last person that should be talking about "fem"
Justin Gutierrez exactly!!! One thing he is for sure is a fraud and a sociopath.... He slithered his was onto TV, on a fake reality show..... and worked his way from being a messy ball queen to a fake celebrity. More power to him
Jonny has worked his ASS off for years and is a role-model for so many, including myself. I understand why he had Milan on the show, and did a great job trying to make this boring/self-entitled "celebrity" a likable guest. If an incredibly hard working and charismatic person like Jonny hasn't (yet) been able to break into mainstream, Milan literally has no chance of maintaining relevancy (especially with his attitude and demeanor). If I were Milan, I would be on that show for as LONG as they would possibly let me, because 99.9% of the time for someone to become relevant and STAY relevant they have to have that "star-power" and big personality that this guy does not have. Another prime example of how most people don't handle mild public notoriety very well and let their ego make them blind to reality, until it's too late. Damn I took this shit deep haha
totally agree with the comments. there is definitely deeply rooted self hate/homophobia. when he starts speaking and using hand gestures it's so clear that he's probably telling himself "whoops girl put the hands down ,be masculine be masculine."
I think the challenge is that in the music and entertainment industry there is still he need to sell the product, and however sanitized and "normal" sexuality can be sold this is the path that this man seems to be navigating. The shame of it is it comes at the expense of clarifying masculinity as separate vs. flamboyant, effeminate gayness. Does this still need to be the case?
I'm tardy to the party on this interview, but I understood what he was saying as it relates to feminine/masculine gay men. I have three very close gay Male friends who are VERY masculine. Two of which are married to each other and the other is single. My friends actually do not like what they call "typical gays". In my line of work, I meet gay men all the time. They are just masculine men who are not out. I feel most gay men that are out are feminine and portrayed that way on TV. Which was his point.
i had to stop watching when he went on about feminine guys. what show do you think you're on though? who do you think is watching this show though? i mean, i don't even know who this guy is. some rapper from some reality tv show? but please. puhleeeze. call the police.
Honestly he seems like a stereotype of a stunt queen pretending to be something he's not. He has to point out how masc he is and how rich he is. There's a lot of insecurity there.
Paul Smith Direct that at yourself. Everyone else in the comments is calling him a stunt queen and bringing up his past fraud and fem categories. You're the only clueless idiot.
How can Milan talk about feminine guys, when he is a feminine guy? Just type in "Milan Chanel", and all of his vogueing videos will populate on your tube.
This is a nice episode. Nice not to have the same type of people on the show...Milan is different and I can relate. Good for Hey Qween TV for branching out. Bring on the Asian lesbian or gay politician or gay foreigner (that can speak English)
IF we're going to use things like "effeminate" and "Masc" then yes, he is right, but since I don't subscribe to any of the crap, I will say he's wrong. However, I have said it before and will say it again, had Karamo told those producers and casting that he was gay, he would have never got cast.
'She has to be on board' - his Mom needs to be on reality TV for him and her to sort through some issues? This kid is delusional. Also one's relevancy has nothing to do with whether or not they have appeared on a reality show!
its crazy but yeah there is a disconnection and people playing on fems and mascs. and it does hurt the community over all. no fat no fems that is most hurtful thing ever and it hurts me a lot that's why I cant get anyone
I'm so sick of hearing other gay men say that there needs to be other representations on tv of gay men other than the feminine gays. Empire's Jamal, How to Get Away With Murder's Conner and Oliver, Scandal's Cyrus Beene and etc. It's many different types of gays being shown in movies and tv shows today so anytime I hear that I believe its internal homophobia. Plus I believe it could also be pure jealousy that fem gays are far more entertaining lets face it
Masc man being more attractive is a personal opinion but I'm speaking from a entertainment stand point and lets face it Masc guys are usually very boring on tv if its not scripted but even then it depends on the writer
I should feel ashamed for knowing who this person is, but Love & Hip Hop is my show! I live for the ratcheness! Well with the exception of a few people
He's not lying, Milian actually does have naturally curly hair. He was being interviewed on some web news show a couple of years ago and they showed a picture of him with his parents when he was a kid.
he's nice to look at but when he started acting masc4masc... bye. he's in a studio all pink and covered in glitter. he doesn't deserve to be a guest here
Jonny's face when Milan started talking about feminine guys was like "No he did not just say that!"
+Roman DiFranco If you youtube "Milan Christopher Ballroom" there's an interview on the ballroom throwbacks page where he ain't no where near masculine

Some Gay guys are masculine too
STUNT QUEEN, STUNT QUEEN.
Wait.....he's masc? Ok Qween!
That lap dancer went IN! We caught that...
Milan Christopher is the most handsome, well spoken, intelligent, stylish, transparent person and his smile is EVERYTHING!!!! I never seen him in person (but on tv)I wish I could meet him In person however but till then ,..
Yes! musical director, giving me that good ole 90's Jam Throwback Vibe!!
IDK HUH! WHO THIS QWEEN IS?! Did Milan from season 4 get masc??
This is the BEST interview with Milan Ive watched!💯💜👌🏾
I mean I watch Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, but like Milan is just so boring. Also, I never in my life have seen such internalized homophobia. We were raised in the CHICAGO BALL SCENE but have something against a feminine boy? UHH REWIND GURT WHAT?
He doesn't like feminine guys, but a year later, and he's now dating EJ Johnson, digging for her gold.... Go figure!!!
I understand what Milan was saying. Not every gay/bi is feminine & it seems that every time a gay/bi guy is portrayed he has to be overly fem. I love Lady Red Couture
I bump the theme song when the episode starts lol
I've met very few butch gay guys.. if any. So I don't think the majority of gay guys are masculine. I think femininity in men should be celebrated.
+mj You've probably met a lot of masculine gay guys who aren't out. I think that's what he means. You usually can only tell someone is gay because they're effeminate.

He aint that masculine hahahha idk wtf he is talking about hahahaha

Not effeminate my ass

That’s why he keeps grabbing his chin.
i just love those sneakers!

Bring back whoa dude!
I have no idea who this is, and understood very little of what he was going on about. Maybe this episode was one just for the americans?
i love lady red and milan pretending (?) to flirt lol
Why did he have conflict with his boyfriend? Was that explained and I missed it
Lady Red didn't even eat through this one. Probably because she was hungry for something else.
I don't know who that guy is but he's HOT! (seems like a nice/cool guy too)

He cute anywayz💕
Curly hair?! Lies you tell!
