Finally! You guys seen what I’ve been saying since Garcelle entered the group- she plays a calculated game. While I respect her as the first Black woman on the show, I do feel that she has used race to shield herself from valid criticism and leverage support. She’s incredibly smart and knows the women rarely discuss race, so she’s able to subtly steer the conversation in her favor when needed. I didn’t buy her claim of feeling like an “outsider” either-she’s been around plenty of wealthy white people, including her ex-husband, so that narrative didn’t sit right with me. It felt more like she was looking for an "in" with the group. I’m just over Garcelle. She’s so focused on gaining and maintaining this position as the HBIC. She needs to be humbled. Is Dorit a bit long-winded? Maybe 😂, but I’m actually on her side this season. I like how she’s holding Kyle accountable instead of letting her avoid responsibility. Dorit can clearly explain what led to their fallout, but Kyle can’t. Both she and Garcelle seem to be searching for reasons to be right because they know they’re in the wrong. Finally! You guys seen what I’ve been saying since Garcelle entered the group- she plays a calculated game. While I respect her as the first Black woman on the show, I do feel that she has used race to shield herself from valid criticism and leverage support. She’s incredibly smart and knows the women rarely discuss race, so she’s able to subtly steer the conversation in her favor when needed. I didn’t buy her claim of feeling like an “outsider” either-she’s been around plenty of wealthy white people, including her ex-husband, so that narrative didn’t sit right with me. It felt more like she was looking for an "in" with the group.
I’m just over Garcelle. She’s so focused on gaining and maintaining this position as the HBIC. She needs to be humbled.
Is Dorit a bit long-winded? Maybe 😂, but I’m actually on her side this season. I like how she’s holding Kyle accountable instead of letting her avoid responsibility. Dorit can clearly explain what led to their fallout, but Kyle can’t. Both she and Garcelle seem to be searching for reasons to be right because they know they’re in the wrong. For example, with the Teddy’s dad’s concert post-Dorit was tagged, so why shouldn’t she repost it? If she hadn’t, it would’ve been an issue too. I don’t like when people stir up drama unnecessarily, and Garcelle seems to know exactly how to do that.
