First video since being back in the 🇬🇧
First hours out of quarantine.
I stumbled across a pub up for raffle the park view Birkenhead. I went drinking in the Mertal which is under new ownership where I met a rowdy bunch then went on to the Victoria and the bluebell
I'm actually going to write a screenplay based on this video. Basically, it starts out as a normal Liam Simonsen video, exploring pubs in Birkenhead. Banter, wit, arkward looks at first when people realise they're on film. Banter picks up, makes some mates, goes on mini pub crawl. But at each pub he notices that a couple of people are getting unnaturally aggressive. Some get into a fight. Liam writes it off as normal Birko behaviour. But half an hour in, as he's walking to the George and Dragon with his crew of 4 local legends including Barry O, the Stenhouse & Walter Mitty, a zombie prostitute drops down from the roof and rips Barry O to shreds in front of Liam. Before you know it he's engaged in a life or death fight to "Make it Out of Birkenhead".
It won't be a zombie parody; it will be serious, gory & frightening. The banter at the start gives way to sheer abject terror as Liam realises Birkehhead is ground zero for a devastating new pandemic. More Cloverfield than Shaun of the Dead.

Of course. I caught covid in Malta recovered enough to pass a rapid test to get home but pcr on arrival picked it up and I had to quarantine again lol. I'm really motivated to get cracking with videos 😁

I once saw Jan Molby sat on the pool table in there and he was talking to a load of young lads about football.

You should do a pub walk on a Sunday when the weather gets better in Bromborough and Eastham. Ending at the Tap down Eastham ferry, it’s great when all the bikers are down there on a sunny Sunday evening.

Yeh I've got a few more from Malta I need to edit but I'm looking forward to getting a few Wirral videos done
Those pubs were, and still are little gems. I remember the karaoke in the Park view with the late lovely Bobby Wild , and the place would be heaving. Always an artist on every week too. Nice to see the Myrtle still open . Memories come flooding back of times gone by when life seemed a bit simpler

I love birkenhead Quiet city and good people. Take me with your lens to the most beautiful place. I hope next time you take us in your to Stuart Street and give me information about it and the reason for its name I love what u do it's amazing thank you so much
I looked into it briefly and couldn't find anything about the reason for it being named steward street

It's looked nice for a while. Usually it's rough. Probably have a bad summer if winters nice.
Ever thought of finding some nice pubs in Blackpool n St annes? Lots of videos of the promenade but a video of some nice boozers (hidden gems etc) would be good around there
When I'm home from my travels. For about 18 months my former employer was investigating me for every video. The manager would be complaining to hr saying there was a negative political message in a pub that brio leisure don't agree with (firstly i didn't know the company had political views, second I don't know what the sign was about) I may have been the pub who call bojo and Hancock the bellends. So you could imagine the kind of eggshells I was walking on.

Great,funny vid Liam. Sends me back decades again, most of those boozers havn't changed much,similar characters, just the pubs are a bit quieter, even allowing for the time of day. They used to be chocker. The Dock by the four bridges never shut!
