Im sorry, no disrespect to other fine singers with big ranges....but Dimash is a whole other ball of wax. Hes not just top of the mountain. Dimash IS the mountain.
His power and control.... the unbridled passion. He's fearless.
His phrasing...timing and nuance bores right into your soul. He's not just a pretty voice....but a voice that captivates and takes you on a journey. He's creative. He's innately so musically gifted he knew from a toddler.
Dimash is 100% present. He lives within the music.
He's very intellectual and philosophical. Highly educated and well read. Groundedand much wiser than his years. He's mature. A grown up. Yet maintains a spirited inner child. Dimash is just on a different level of quality and mastery and artistry. But... also important.....his versatility. He can sing anything. He is a person of depth and substance personally. Honoring his country, his family, his fans and his world. To try to create connection between us as human beings no matter the nation, race, gender or age.
He is a composer himself works with other composers, and will sing covers.
He's a diplomat and has been called to meet world leaders. Been given award after awards by governments and music Organizations. After the Singer show in China....where he competed with well known professionals. He blew them away. They could only give him 2nd place since he was foreign and an unknown. But since that show...he has become a world wide phenomena with the largest documented fan base in the world.
Dimash conducts himself with grace and dignity. He approaches his music with the same dignity and respect. He takes it seriously. The light hearted moments are for fun. But as a human being....he gives a damn. He's passionate about what goes on in the world and the well being of his people. Only a man with such a rich and profound soul can sing so profoundly. Your guest is right. There’s no comparison. First of all, I am a Filipino. I had supported marcelito since his journey in pgt. Till his international quest. The first time they were in awe to hear a self duet. As what Simone said “give us something different”, and he can’t for that’s what he is gifted of. Whereas Dimash, every time he sung is a surprise. It’s always different even if it’s the same song. It’s always with a twist. He doesn’t become boring. He will continue to surprise and intrigue you. 5 years listening/watching him almost everyday, three different concert and I’m still as excited, as awed as the first time I heard him. Dimash is the epitome of vocal protégée. A genius that could only witness in a lifetime.

This song is from the Canadian-French rock opera Starmania, written in 1976 by Michel Berger and written by Luc Plamondon. He made his debut in 1978 with a studio recording of songs, before the stage premiere in 1979. The main character sings this lullaby when he loses his beloved. This is a lullaby. A very difficult piece to perform. No one has done it properly yet. Dimash has been polishing it for years. And this is his pinnacle achievement.

Like Ren, I spent months getting to know this young genius of voice. There has never been a comparable artist in the world. Like Ren, he has the heart of a Lion and the soul of a Lamb. A must see for you is a song called Olympico sung at the world Olympics. Stunning.

Honestly, Black Pegasus, Dimash is unto his own genre and it’s fruitless to compare him to anyone else. It’s not fair to the other artists. Dimash has a Bachelor’s and Masters degrees and is in the midst of a Doctorate, all of them in musicology. He is a singer, composer, lyricist and producer, able to play 7 instruments perfectly and sings phonetically in 14 languages. He is fluent in Khazac and Russian and is conquering Mandarin and English. So unfair to compare him to any one else because he is on a planet all his own.

Since Fozzie mentioned Trans Siberian Orchestra, their vocal coach is Ken Tamplin. Ken's been reacting to and analyzing Dimash for years, like many credentialed vocal coaches. It's his opinion that Dimsh is "the best vocalist walking the planet".

This song is a French cover, from the rock opera Starmania in the 70's... It was written by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon, especially for Daniel Balavoine, unknown at this time... Then he became famous, and also the favorite writer, composer and singer in France. Unfortunately, he died in an helicopter accident during the race Paris-Dakar almost 30 years ago, but he's still in our hearts, always covered by French and foreign artists. He left amazing songs and albums we can still enjoy, even nowadays, with a crazy and unique voice too...

But there's only one DIMASH 4 EVUH when it comes varied talents- from composing, arranging, performing, playing various instruments, singing in multiple languages! His "Story of One Sky" is a D-mashterpiece. 13 mins long. He took 3 years to comppose, arrange & write screenplay. He acts in it, also. And seeing DIMASH perform this LIVE is an outta body experience. ❤

Every DEAR could name their 3 fave performances or 3 performances of the same song.. SOS has the greatest amount to choose from.. Dimash was singing SOS before he was on the Singer in 2017 and performs it at every event he has attended along with his concerts of which there are good quality fancam footage.. His highest notes to his low notes are perfect but every performance is micro managed for maximum emotion.. The main ability that know one can emulate is his gift of performing with passion in 15 or so languages.. Every concert since the pandemic has a cultural song that he gives new life.. From songs sung in multiple music styles from classical to pop,, the Dimash masterclass is exceptional..
When you have experienced his C2 up-to his D8 you will be ready to deep dive into The Story of One Sky.. This is a mini movie inspired by MJ’s Earth Song.. Dimash wrote the script, wrote the music, acted and produced.. Every vocal ability he has mastered is used to the max.. It is Hi Ren on a unlimited budget..
