The rain just added to the lovely ambience of this video. Without sun glare, the colors of the flowers are that much more intense and lovely, and the gentle sound of the rain is swoony. What a wonderful place to visit!
Those gardens are glorious but my favorite part was the thumbnail of you, Kirsten, sitting in the large chair holding your umbrella. Like something out of a fairytale, you looked so happy!!!
Kirsten, I have to tell you and Joerg...I became "hooked" on your videos when I first saw "Our Fairytale Cottage in Devon"! I watched that at least five times because it was so beautiful and you two (along with your nephew) were just so precious in it. The cottage was everything I've ever imagined an english cottage should be. Because you share all of your videos I have learned so much not only about where you are but about your appreciation of the country you reside in now. I know you miss Germany but you have adapted so well and I personally think Germany is equally as beautiful as England! Perhaps one day I'll get to visit at least one of these countries but for right now...I am happy to do so through you two! Thank you! Kirsten, thank you for inspiring me to adopt a gluten-free diet! I suffer from chronic migraines and I've tried everything and nothing helps except for medication. When I eliminated gluten it made a world of difference! It's only been a few days but so far no headaches! I must be gluten intolerant. As always, great video!
Awww that's so fantastic to hear, great! I have to eat gluten free due to an illness and have been doing so for 23 years, so used to it now. Glad you're so much better now.
I am also gluten free since about 2 month. I feel much better now and I've learned a lot (recommending the books and videos from Dr. Osborne, David Perlmutter and William Davis). I never thought when Kirsten has gluten free cake and bread that it could be my theme also ... You have to do almost everything different, and the gluten free products at least here in Germany are garbage, but it's worth it!
@@KirstenJoerg The thing is, there is also some similar gluten in corn, rice or other grains. Maybe you (or I) can tolerate it, but I am still in the find-out-what-is-good-for-you-phase. But I love your baking videos and miss eating from time to time Donauwelle or Cheesecake!

That sculpture with the dandelion was beautiful!!! Also I loved at 3:15 where the hedges created a tunnel. It reminds me of a road I used to travel down as a child. Now unfortunately the trees are cut back but I used to love driving through a green tunnel of trees. The grounds here are beautiful. And Joerg was saying how the wall looks like Jurassic Park and then you were in the Jurassic Garden🤯✨🥰 Joerg is a soothsayer!!! Wonderful video.
Oh yes, the sculpture was so pretty (and the fairies too); I know when we kept on walking and then stumbled upon the Jurassic Garden I couldn't believe my eyes lol.

That is a great story! I always thought of him only as a landscape architect, and just recently discovered he was a building architect as well. So talented!

Whether it's sunny or cloudy, you two always lift my spirits. As always, I love how you paired the music with the stunning scenery! I teared up at times from the sheer beauty of it. Also, I was amazed by all the captivating and unusual sculptures/statues throughout the tour!
My goodness! The one and only time I was at Trentham was to see the band Pulp at the Trentham Ballroom. This was about 1999, and it closed in 2002. At the time the whole site was totally run-down and ruined. I'm stunned at the transformation in such a relatively short time, and have just put it on my list of places to visit this summer. Thank you so much!

I've been to Trentham Gardens and it really reminded me of gardens in Salzburg and Vienna (not Germany but similar area ahah!) so I know what you mean about feeling like you're in Germany!

Even the most mundane garden looks lovely in the sunshine but it takes a spectacular garden to look good in the rain! Loved your visit to this garden, so beautiful yet the empty building ( so sad that the renovation was never completed) gave off an aura of sorrow or loss which to me made the garden more hauntingly beautiful and romantic. Hello Kirsten and Joerg I'm watching this video lay in bed as my back has gone and I can't walk around so you've come the walking for me today. I've been to Trentham Gardens a few times and it's very nice ,I bet it smelt lovely in the rain. Nice to see Joerg today ,he makes me laugh so much .I remember when I first discovered your channel and he didn't say a lot and I thought he must be shy . However , he has more than made up for those early days and is much more confident in front of the camera now. I hope the laying of the runner goes well and that you're pleased with it . I have just been catching up with you, Kristen, and Joerg. After the long months of Covid restrictions, your videos are just the right thing to keep me calm and peaceful. I really enjoy your adventures, travels, walks and watching your home evolve. Thank you for sharing your life in England. I am due to visit England in September, only London however, but always enjoy being in your country. Many of my ancestors immigrated from there so part of my DNA (paternal) is from there while the rest is from Germany (maternal). I also studied the German language while at university. Oh goodness, the start with Kirsten in that big chair gave me a flash back to Edith Ann. Makes ya wonder how they dug that lake, it's ginormous.!! I absolutely Love the sculptures of the fairy with the dandelion, they're wonderful. Arid on Gardeners World went to an enormous garden in Germany, it was an abandoned industrial area if I'm not mistaken, it was amazing. Nice way to end with Bob Dylan, one of my favorite songs too, that shop has good taste...pun intended.

Our first lengthily stay in England (3 weeks) it rained only 1 day, up at Hadrian's wall. Came home with a suntan. The second lengthily stay (4 months) it rained every single day! Not all day but some part of a day. We still had a great time and felt so blessed/lucky to be able to spend so much time in such an amazing country. Thank you for sharing with us.
Very beautiful gardens,I loved all the sculptures of the mermaids and fairies with dandelions,the frog is super cute,and the mushrooms made of wood and ropey twine. The Tulips were stunning in all those colours along with that stunning Wisteria,such a shame the hall is a ruin,so very lovely though in it's decay.

The live in San Diego now, and we only get a few months where it properly rains in the spring, I love it and try to soak it in to last me the year. Grew up in England and I miss it. I love the smell right after it rains!

Kirsten, thank you for inspiring me to adopt a gluten-free diet! I suffer from chronic migraines and I've tried everything and nothing helps except for medication. When I eliminated gluten it made a world of difference! It's only been a few days but so far no headaches! I must be gluten intolerant. As always, great video!
Awww that's so fantastic to hear, great! I have to eat gluten free due to an illness and have been doing so for 23 years, so used to it now. Glad you're so much better now.
I am also gluten free since about 2 month. I feel much better now and I've learned a lot (recommending the books and videos from Dr. Osborne, David Perlmutter and William Davis). I never thought when Kirsten has gluten free cake and bread that it could be my theme also ... You have to do almost everything different, and the gluten free products at least here in Germany are garbage, but it's worth it!

@@KirstenJoerg The thing is, there is also some similar gluten in corn, rice or other grains. Maybe you (or I) can tolerate it, but I am still in the find-out-what-is-good-for-you-phase. But I love your baking videos and miss eating from time to time Donauwelle or Cheesecake!

That sculpture with the dandelion was beautiful!!! Also I loved at 3:15 where the hedges created a tunnel. It reminds me of a road I used to travel down as a child. Now unfortunately the trees are cut back but I used to love driving through a green tunnel of trees. The grounds here are beautiful. And Joerg was saying how the wall looks like Jurassic Park and then you were in the Jurassic Garden🤯✨🥰 Joerg is a soothsayer!!! Wonderful video.
Oh yes, the sculpture was so pretty (and the fairies too); I know when we kept on walking and then stumbled upon the Jurassic Garden I couldn't believe my eyes lol.
That was my favourite too the dandelion, a work of art.

Looks a lovely place to visit, even in the rain ... I heard once that Lancelot Brown got the name Capability, because he would view a project and say “It has capablities” - He became known for the phrase and the name Capability stuck.
That would make sense! He was definitely extremely capable as well.
That is a great story! I always thought of him only as a landscape architect, and just recently discovered he was a building architect as well. So talented!

Whether it's sunny or cloudy, you two always lift my spirits. As always, I love how you paired the music with the stunning scenery! I teared up at times from the sheer beauty of it. Also, I was amazed by all the captivating and unusual sculptures/statues throughout the tour!
My goodness! The one and only time I was at Trentham was to see the band Pulp at the Trentham Ballroom. This was about 1999, and it closed in 2002. At the time the whole site was totally run-down and ruined. I'm stunned at the transformation in such a relatively short time, and have just put it on my list of places to visit this summer.

Loved your visit to this garden, so beautiful yet the empty building ( so sad that the renovation was never completed) gave off an aura of sorrow or loss which to me made the garden more hauntingly beautiful and romantic.

Hello Kirsten and Joerg I'm watching this video lay in bed as my back has gone and I can't walk around so you've come the walking for me today. I've been to Trentham Gardens a few times and it's very nice ,I bet it smelt lovely in the rain. Nice to see Joerg today ,he makes me laugh so much .I remember when I first discovered your channel and he didn't say a lot and I thought he must be shy . However , he has more than made up for those early days and is much more confident in front of the camera now. I hope the laying of the runner goes well and that you're pleased with it . I get so excited when you visit places I know well, your filming reminds me of their beauty. The creator of the wire sculptures lives in a beautiful part of rural Staffordshire, we were lucky enough to meet him and he is as lovely as those fairies at Trentham Gardens!

I have just been catching up with you, Kristen, and Joerg. After the long months of Covid restrictions, your videos are just the right thing to keep me calm and peaceful. I really enjoy your adventures, travels, walks and watching your home evolve. Thank you for sharing your life in England. I am due to visit England in September, only London however, but always enjoy being in your country. Many of my ancestors immigrated from there so part of my DNA (paternal) is from there while the rest is from Germany (maternal). I also studied the German language while at university. I live in central California now to be close to my granddaughter, but grew up on the southern California coast.

Makes ya wonder how they dug that lake, it's ginormous.!! I absolutely Love the sculptures of the fairy with the dandelion, they're wonderful. Arid on Gardeners World went to an enormous garden in Germany, it was an abandoned industrial area if I'm not mistaken, it was amazing. Nice way to end with Bob Dylan, one of my favorite songs too, that shop has good taste...pun intended.
I really enjoy Lee enjoy watching the two of you together as you explore all the beautiful places in England I don't know if I'll ever get there but for now I enjoy watching you as I drink my own little cup of tea

It depends on how strong it is, it can be a nightmare when filming but it's definitely needed or else we wouldn't have such a beautiful green countryside here.

Our first lengthily stay in England (3 weeks) it rained only 1 day, up at Hadrian's wall. Came home with a suntan. The second lengthily stay (4 months) it rained every single day! Not all day but some part of a day. We still had a great time and felt so blessed/lucky to be able to spend so much time in such an amazing country. Thank you for sharing with us.
Very beautiful gardens,I loved all the sculptures of the mermaids and fairies with dandelions,the frog is super cute,and the mushrooms made of wood and ropey twine. The Tulips were stunning in all those colours along with that stunning Wisteria,such a shame the hall is a ruin,so very lovely though in it's decay.
Here on the west coast of Canada we get our fair share of rain....commonly referred to as”liquid sunshine.”

The live in San Diego now, and we only get a few months where it properly rains in the spring, I love it and try to soak it in to last me the year. Grew up in England and I miss it. I love the smell right after it rains!
